Chapter 14
KGOTHATSO .CHAPTER : 14 .
She puts on the dress she had on yesterday and still puts on his slides , she then brushes her weave and walks downstairs .
Mandlawenkosi : I'm taking Kgothatso home , you guys wait for me .
Zolani : we'll wait while you tend to your wife .
He shakes his head and stands up , he grabs his car keys .
Mandlawenkosi : we can go .
Kgothatso : bye it was great meeting you .
Siyanda : it was an honor too Mrs Ndlovu , we look forward to attending your traditional wedding .
She nods lightly and walks out as Mandla follows her ..
Zolani : a moody babe .
Skhumbuzo : I just think she doesn't want to get familiar with us , not everyone wants to hang around their husband's circle .
Zolani : hmm ..
Siyanda : I think they're in love with each other , they just don't realize it yet . An arranged marriege can go many ways .
Zolani : yeah you're right .
He opens the door for her as she jumps in .. he closes the door then walks to his side , he jumps in and starts the engine .
Mandlawenkosi : your house or ??
Kgothatso : yeah .
Mandlawenkosi : okay .
He drives off ..

— an hour later ..
He parks infront of her gate ..
Mandlawenkosi : so I'll see you tomorrow ?
Kgothatso : yeah , see you tomorrow .
Mandlawenkosi : i hope your family is generous to mine , i really hope so.
Kgothatso : don't worry , they're cool and all .
He nods .
Kgothatso : let me go .
Mandlawenkosi : bye .
She jumps off the car and walks to the gate as he doesn't his eyes from her , he watches as she walks inside and shakes his head lightly . He starts the engine and drives off .
Kgothatso walks inside her house as she takes a deep breath thinking of him . She sighs and walks upstairs , she goes into her bedroom and walks into her closet .
Kgothatso : what should I wear ?
She takes out her brown formal pants with her white top and puts them on . She puts on her white sneakers and spreads conditioner and water around her weave renewing it .
Kgothatso : all done ..
She grabs her handbag and walks downstairs , she grabs her car keys and walks out of the house . She jumps in her car and drives off ..

Once she gets to the hospital , she jumps off the car and walks inside ..
Kgothatso : good morning ..
Thuli : good morning girl , you look so bright today . What's going on ?
Kgothatso : oh so I look dull everyday ? all the other days ?
Thuli : no but there's something different about today , come on .. tell me .
Kgothatso : there's nothing to tell honestly , I'm going to my office and heading to meet my patients .
Thuli : the smile says it all , somebody is painting your heart red .
Kgothatso : (laughs) you can be really funny hey ..
She says walking to her office and catching a big breath . She walks in and places her things down before putting on her white coat and putting on her gloves . She walks out and heads to one of her patients' rooms .
Kgothatso : good day ..
She glances at her then to the side , Kgothatso chuckles a bit and walks to her bed .
Kgothatso : why are you upset granny ?
Her : I want to leave this hospital ! I've been here for forever and I really want to leave ..
Kgothatso : you need to calm down , you're just like my grandmother . Hospitals aren't your thing .
Her : then get me out of here , my grandkids must be missing me wherever they are .
Kgothatso : you aren't healed yet and I think .. your grandkids want you to come back home as fit as you've been all these years and that can only happen if you stay here and heal . You're doing very well ..
She sighs .
Her : if it wasn't for your wise words , I would've left , or even escaped .
Kgothatso : I'm not going to allow to do that mama , it's my duty to make sure you get better . You've been here for over a month and I still never get tired of talking to you .
Her : you seem happy .
She sighs and nods .
Kgothatso : I'm not happy , but I feel free . I'm at peace ..
Her : what happened ? tell me what happened now ?
Kgothatso : so .. I'm getting married .
Her : you're getting married ? heh ?!
She nods .
Kgothatso : yep ..
Her : now why didn't you tell me you had someone in your life ? you listened to me saying I'll hook you up with my son and you didn't tell me that you're getting married soon .
Kgothatso : it was a short notice thing , but yeah .. I'm getting married , he's paying lobola tomorrow .
Her : blessings and blessings upon you my dear , you deserve all the happiness coming your way . You spend half your time saving people's life , you deserve everything good that's going to happen to you .
Kgothatso : thank you mama , I don't even know what to say .
Her : just promise me that you're gonna take care of your husband , you must satisfy him and keep him happy at all times . Your husband doesn't cook , you must cook at all times . Okay ?
She nods .
Kgothatso : I heard you loud and clear , I'll abide to your advice .
Her : I'd be more than happy .
Kgothatso : lets check how you're doing today , you don't wanna stress me out do you ?
Her : I don't .

She coughs horribly slowly taking deep breaths ..
Masentle : you refuse to go to the doctor Ma ..
MaMofokeng : I've told you that a doctor will not help me .
Masentle : okay let Kgothatso help you then .
MaMofokeng : Kgothatso can't do anything , you know .. when you gave birth to Kelebogile , Kgothatso , Kgothalo Realeboga , Gosiame . I only vowed to put their happiness first and that's what I did .. when they grew up , I wanted them to study and become educated because I didn't want that whoever marries them or whoever they marry will undermine them . I said I'll find peace once the older ones get married . I won't be here when Gosiame decides to go on that path but I'll watch over her and guide her to become a responsible wife .
Masentle : Kgothatso is getting married , she'll die if you leave right after she gets married .
She sighs .
MaMofokeng : the ancestors' greatest gift (smiles) i used to call her that when she was younger . Look at her now , she goes around saving people's lives the western and african way . I couldn't be any more prouder .. I'll rest in peace knowing that Kgothatso is the best she ever thought she'd be . I pray that Mandlawenkosi doesn't hurt my child ..
Masentle : just hang in there mother , like I don't know what I'm going to do when you leave because you're my children's light , they won't cope without you .
