KGOTHATSO .

CHAPTER : 45 .

She glances at the mug that just fell down , it's shattered just like her heart . She sighs attempting to reach over for it but Mandlawenkosi stops her ..

Mandlawenkosi : you're gonna hurt yourself .

Kgothatso : am I not hurt enough ?

Mandlawenkosi : Kgothie ..

She sighs and stands up straight ..

Kgothatso : I'll clean it up .

Mandlawenkosi : I'll do it for you , don't worry . Sit down and I'll also make you another cup of coffee .

Kgothatso : okay ..

She sits down and sighs heavily once more .

Mandlawenkosi : you're losing yourself .

Kgothatso : I'm trying not to .

He sweeps the broken glasses and throws them away , he then lights the kettle and waits for the water to boil .

Kelebogile : hey y'all ..

Mandlawenkosi : hey ..

Kelebogile : the evening prayer is in 10 minutes ..

Kgothatso : okay ..

Kelebogile : and your parents are here , along with your brother .

Mandlawenkosi : I'll see them in a short while .

Kelebogile : alright , are you guys okay though ?

Kgothatso : asking obvious questions over and over again , you're irritating me Kelebogile .

Mandlawenkosi : baby ..

Kelebogile : I understand you're hurt , so I'm not really going to blame you .

She says walking out ..

Mandlawenkosi : that wasn't very kind baby .

Kgothatso : I just don't want anyone nagging me , I'm already stressed enough .

Mandlawenkosi : I understand .

He kisses her cheek ..

Mandlawenkosi : are you sleeping here ?

Kgothatso : I am and you're also sleeping here .

Mandlawenkosi : uhm .. at your mother's house ?;

Kgothatso : what's wrong with that ?

Mandlawenkosi : not comfortable with that but I'd do anything for you .

Kgothatso : thank you baby ..

He smiles a bit and nods , once the kettle boils .. he makes another coffee for her and hands it over to her .

Mandlawenkosi : lets go ..

Kgothatso : please get my doek from the car , this one is a bit tight .

Mandlawenkosi : okay I'll be back .

She nods and he walks away .. she sighs heavily looking all around the kitchen . MaMofokeng really had test , this kitchen is more than beautiful .

Kgothatso : mom got this from you koko ..

She says smiling a bit and jumping off the stool , she waits for Mandla by the door of the kitchen . He comes back after a while with the doek and she unties the one she had on .

Mandlawenkosi : let me help you .

He helps her tie the doek around her head and ties it ..

Kgothatso : thank you ..

Mandlawenkosi : anytime .

He holds her hand and they walk to the lounge where everything is set up and the two portraits are placed in the front . She swallows hard sitting down and Mandlawenkosi sitting besides her at the front .

Masentle : she looked like you ..

Kgothatso : I see Mandla in her ..

Masentle : a mix of your genes ..

She glances at Kgothalo who's staring at both the portraits and sighs .. she rests her head on Mandla's shoulder .

— 2 Hours Later ..

She wipes off her tears and presses her lips together as Mandla stands up and walks out ..

Mpiyakhe : where are you going ?

Mandlawenkosi : I don't think I can do this .. I..I really can't .

Mpiyakhe : you were doing just fine .

Mandlawenkosi : she's sitting there crying , staring at my child's face is heartbreaking . A child I'll never be able to see again , if i feel like this then Kgothatso must be going through hell right now .

Kaone , Kgothalo's wife kneels infront of Kgothatso and claps her hands ..

Kaone : it's pain isn't it ?

Kgothatso : pain I don't think I'll heal over .

Kaone : she was going to become a beautiful girl .

Kgothatso : grandma remained my shadow .

Kaone : I believe she still is ..

Kgothatso : (sighs) how are you ?

Kaone : I see Kgothalo like this and I just lose hope , he's not sleeping well and when he does sleep , he has nightmares about you , your husband , grandmother and your child . It's hurting shame , I don't wanna lie .

She glances at her and smiles a bit , she then stands up and wipes off her tears gently .

Kaone : I'm happy that you're crying and letting all the pain out .

Kgothatso : I couldn't hold it in anymore .

Kaone : I know , crying helps .. it's gonna be a process but you're gonna get there , where you want . With your husband ..

Kgothatso : I believe so too , they're watching over me and all those who wronged my husband and I will pay . They're paying and I hope death follows after .
