CHAPTER : 35 .

Zobuhle : Mandla wait ..

Mandlawenkosi : oh what the **** do you want from me woman ? I have a really beautiful wife waiting for me at home .

Zobuhle : if you're happy with her then why are you here ?

Mandlawenkosi : are you really asking me that question ? I don't have time for you Zobuhle .

She intentionally trips as if she's about to fall and he catches her , her lipstick smears all over his white hoddie and she holds on him .

Zobuhle : you still care .

Mandlawenkosi : **** off ..

She stands up straight and glances at him , does he have no idea of the lipstick on his hoddie ?

Mandlawenkosi : what are you staring at ?

Zobuhle : nothing ..

She takes hee perfume from her handbag ..

Zobuhle : this perfume doesn't last .

He sighs and opens the door of his car ..

Mandlawenkosi : i don't know if you're actually following me or what , stop whatever you're doing Zobuhle , we're over . Deal with it ..

She shrugs and starts spraying the perfume all over herself making Mandla cough .

Mandlawenkosi : normalize using Chanel , it doesn't make anyone cough .

He jumps in his car and drives off .

He jumps off the car and walks inside , he walks straight upstairs ..

Samkele : brother ? Is that you ?

Mandlawenkosi : hmm ..

Samkele : you're back early .

Mandlawenkosi : there's nothing to really stay there for ..

He walks into his bedroom and finds them rearranging his closet ..

Mandlawenkosi : why are you doing that ?

Kgothatso : you have a really messy closet , i don't know how because when i got here , you were the cleanest guy ever .

Mandlawenkosi : there was no need really ..

Samkele frowns at the smell of perfume ..

Samkele : is that a woman's perfume ?

Mandlawenkosi : what ?

Kgothatso stares at him till she eventually looks awwy , she drops his clothes and walks to him .

Kgothatso : lipstick ?

Mandlawenkosi : you're confusing me .

Kgothatso : you reek of a woman's perfume , there's red lipstick on your hoddie Mandlawenkosi .

He closes his eyes heaving a huge sigh , Zobuhle !

Mandlawenkosi : listen ..

Kgothatso : you leave our house and go wherever you went .. was it Zobuhle ?

Mandlawenkosi : okay i don't know what you're talking about Kgothatso , really .

Kgothatso : this is her scent Mandla dammit !

She storms out as he sighs ..

Mandlawenkosi : how do I even explain that Zobuhle is the one who sprayed her perfume infront of me . I don't really get how the lipstick ended up on my hoddie though .

Samkele : so you were with her ?

Mandlawenkosi : you don't question me , besides .. this is between Kgothatso and i .. not you .

Samkele : you really need to let go of your Bachelorette life or else Kgothatso might just walk out of that door and you die .

Mandlawenkosi : you're making it seem as if I'm only with her because she heals me . Yes that was the case at first but now , i love her and she's my wife . I wouldn't want to hurt her on purpose .

Samkele : how did you meet Zobuhle though ?

Mandlawenkosi : hai Samkele , I'm not a child . The only person I can answer to right now is my wife .

He says walking out and heading downstairs ..

Mandlawenkosi : Kgothatso ?

Silence ..

Mandlawenkosi : baby ?

He walks back upstairs and goes to the bathroom , still nothing . He finds her standing in his office as he walks in and closes the door .

Mandlawenkosi : Kgothie ...

Kgothatso : Kgothatso , just Kgothatso .

Mandlawenkosi : I didn't meet up with Zobuhle .

Kgothatso : did i ask you ?

Mandlawenkosi : i didn't do anything .

Kgothatso : I didn't ask you Mandlawenkosi !

Mandlawenkosi : please don't scream..

Kgothatso : if you didn't meet up with her then explain the lipstick and the perfume ...

Mandlawenkosi : i was with my friends and she just came . I got up and went outside because i wanted to come home to you . She just followed me and the next thing she was about to fall and i caught her . I think thats when the lipstick got on my hoddie and then she started spraying her perfume all over . That's why the scent is still left ..

She shakes her head and chuckles ..

Kgothatso : o superman wena , you catch people before they fall . Were you in an Indian movie ? the one where the girl falls down but the guy saves her ?

Mandlawenkosi : Kgothatso come on ..

Kgothatso : I can still smell her scent , just go shower Mandlawenkosi .

Mandlawenkosi : you're mad though .

Kgothatso : I'm just ... just go . 

He sighs and walks out .. she grabs her phone and dials Kgothalo's number while Mandla stands by the door .

Kgothatso : hey .

Kgothalo : what's up ?

Kgothatso : this is weighing so heavily on me ..

Kgothalo : you don't want to wait till i come back ?

Kgothatso : i don't think i can ..

Kgothalo : burp it out , you know we always share everything .

She sighs heavily .

Kgothatso : I'm supposed to be pregnant a month from now .

Kgothalo : what ?

Mandla's heart beats fast ..

Kgothalo : wait what ?

Kgothatso : that's what i saw ..

Kgothalo : you're gonna get pregnant ? but that's good news .

Kgothatso : it is but ..

Kgothalo : there's more ? I was about to buy champagne and celebrate your pregnancy .

Kgothatso : I'm serious Kgothalo come on ..

She says with tears in her eyes and her voice breaking . 

Kgothalo : no .. but why are you crying ? What else did you see ?

Kgothatso : I'm gonna give birth to a dead baby Kgothalo .

Kgothalo : what ?

The door opens and she quickly turns ..
