CHAPTER 44 .

They arrive at Masentle's house as they jump off the car and the drivers offload Sphiwosihle's coffin .

Mandlawenkosi : Lets go .

They jump off the car and walk inside , her heart sinks . Everyone is sitting in the lounge having tea , some in the kitchen preparing meals .

Kgothatso : mother ..

She walks past them and heads to her grandmother's bedroom , she walks in and finds her mother sitting on the mattress along with Kelebogile and Realeboga .

Masentle : my baby ..

She kneels down on the mattress and lays her head on her lap ..

Masentle : my baby ..

Kgothatso : it hurts mama , it hurts .

Masentle : i know ..

Kelebogile : is Sphiwosihle here ?

Kgothatso : hmm ..

Masentle : grandma's coffin will only arrive tomorrow .

Kgothatso : okay ..

She sighs heavily .

Kgothatso : I can't believe they're both gone .

Realeboga : it's an unbelievable thing .

He shakes his head still stepping back ..

Zolani : I asked you if you're sure you were to witchcraft Mandla and you said yes not knowing that Kgothatso would come and be the protective shield for him .

Zobuhle : what ?

Zolani : i turned against my own friend because of you , what did you make me do ?

He shakes his head again .

Zolani : I have to go .

He says storming out and immediately falling down and being unconscious. Zobuhle gasps feeling all the part of her body aching ..

She messed with the wrong one and she got it ..

Florence groans deeply seeing Kgothatso's grandmother sitting right there with her granddaughter in her arms .

MaMofokeng : what did you do ?

Florence : im not the only one !

MaMofokeng : you're the who initiated everything , you're the reason I'm sitting right here not alone but with my granddaughter .

Florence : Leave !

MaMofokeng : my daughter's heart breaks each and every second because of you . Why are you bewitching your own nephew ? What has he done to you ??

Florence : i said leave !

MaMofokeng : you're going to lose everything , you wronged the ancestors' precious gift and you must pay .

She begins hearing Kgothatso's cries as she looks all around ..

Florence : No ..

MaMofokeng : each tear she shed , will amount to every pain you'll go through .
