KGOTHATSO .

CHAPTER : 01

PROLOGUE .

Her hands hold the wisdom of the ancestors , she listens to the whispers of the plants , the pulse of the earth and the beat of the human heart . They call her the gentle healer , the one who weaves together the threads of tradition and modernity .

Tumelo : I think you're a great woman Kgothatso but .. I can't handle this gift of yours . We haven't gotten intimate ever since we started dating , not even a mere kiss and you want to say we're dating ? I don't feel like we're dating right now .

Kgothatso : so what do you want me to do ? Go against my ancestors' requests ?

Tumelo : I'm not saying that but I can't bear not touching you because you have a lustful body . How can I resist not touching you ?

Kgothatso : look if you want us to break up then so be it .. I'm a healer , I go by my ancestors requests and wishes . I wouldn't have had all that I have today if it wasn't for them so .. you can go .

He nods .

Tumelo : maybe I was not the one after all .

Kgothatso : you had only one job and that was to marry me , you can't even marry me after a year together ? then you're not ready to get intimate with me . There's no way I'm getting intimate or letting you kiss me whilst you haven't even thought of marriage .

Tumelo : I'm 26 , what do you expect me to do ? I'm obviously not ready to get married .

Kgothatso : then you don't belong in my heart , I'll gladly take you out .

Tumelo : sharp ..

She nods , he walks out and bangs the door , she sighs ..

Kgothatso : I'm not gonna cry because I saw this coming honestly .

Kgothalo : that's a movie .

Kgothatso : is it weird that I'm 25 and I haven't had my first kiss ?

Kgothalo : it's weird to people that don't understand why , but to us people who understand why , we definitely understand .

Kgothatso : all these men aren't ready to get married .

Kgothalo : they're truly not .

Kgothatso : maybe I'm not even meant to get married , break my virginity or have my first kiss .

Kgothalo : they haven't shown you anything ? A soulmate nyana ?

Kgothatso : nothing hle , it's so weird . I don't know if I'm actually supposed to bump into him or what .

Kgothalo : well twinnie , I'll wait with you .

Kgothatso : pizza ?

He nods happily .

Kgothalo : date night with your twin is always the best .

Kgothatso : it is ..

She walks to the kitchen and grabs the box of pizza , two beers and ciders . She walks back to the lounge and sits down .

Kgothatso : here are your beers .

Kgothalo : thank you .

Kgothatso : I'm actually stressed out , grandmother's health is deteriorating and she really wants to see me get married before anything happens .

Kgothalo : considering that we're all married .

Kgothatso : right ? I'm the only one left . Heck .. I don't know what a kiss feels like Kgothalo , which planet am I from ?

Kgothalo : Jupiter ?

Kgothatso : I'd like to think yes ..

She opens the pizza box and they both grabs slices .

Kgothatso : I thought you might be first one to know this .

Kgothalo : what is it ?

Kgothatso : I have a red long mark across my spinal cord .

Kgothalo : what ?

Kgothatso : it appeared last night , I cried actually because I felt like someone was drawing the mark on purpose .

Kgothalo : show me ..

She places everything on the table and turns back ..

Kgothatso : unzip the dress .

He unzips the dress all the way down and gasps lightly .

Kgothalo : this is bad ..

Kgothatso : it looks bad , it pains . I feel like someone is also feeling the same way I'm feeling right now .

Kgothalo : you feel like that ?

Kgothatso : i can never be wrong Kgothalo .

She says sighing and winces a bit ..

Kgothatso : it hurts so bad ..

He groans loudly as Gogo Manzini applies the herbs on his back .

Gogo Manzini : you must marry her soon .

: how when I don't know who she is ?

Gogo Manzini : she's the key to your health . Without her , whatever that's happening to you will get worse .

Gogo Manzini : I know who she is , I know where she stays . I know her ...

He groans as the pain gets worse while Kgothatso also winces ..
