KGOTHATSO .CHAPTER : 08 .
Kgothalo : and you don't have any kids ?
Mandlawenkosi : I don't ..
Kgothalo : you're waiting for my sister to give you kids ?

Mandla glances at Kgothatso ..

Masentle : yes ..
Bab'Ndlovu glances at Kgothatso .
Bab'Ndlovu : we'll send our designer after the negotiations to come and take your measurements . You can't be a bride without a gown , the same goes for all of you .
MaMofokeng : oh my heart is free , it feels so good to actually still be alive for the last wedding of my granddaughters . I'll actually rest in peace knowing that my child is going to be married off to a good and loving family .
Mpiyakhe : definitely , nothing shouldn't go wrong .
Bab'Ndlovu : we'll take your leave now , we've got businesses to attend to and an actual traditional wedding to prepare .
Masentle : it is a lot of work indeed ..
Kgothatso : (glances at Mandla) are you gonna be working too ?
Mandlawenkosi : why ?
Kgothatso : im just asking , you're not healed yet . You're just better ... I think you should rest for a few days .
He nods .
Mandlawenkosi : I wasn't going to work , I feel a bit weak now .
Kgothatso : is the mark still hurting ?

Kgothatso : (nods) I've got the herbs I used that night here .. should I ??
Mandlawenkosi : sure ..
They both stand up ..

He follows Kgothatso to the bedroom she normally uses when she's here and they walk inside . She closes the door ..

He begins unbuttoned his shirt as she swallows hard , he takes the shirt off and places on the bed .
Kgothatso : lay down for me ..
He does as she told him and she takes a deep breath . She lights "impepho" and begins mixing the herbs in the bowl .
Mandlawenkosi : you've been a healer all your life ?
Kgothatso : you're a healer at birth , you only realize that you are one when you're older . I realized I was a healer when I began dreaming of my ancestors , things that happen before time and the smell of herbs , African medicine hitting my nostrils every now and then . I'd have spiritual attacks , they speculated that I'm a sangoma and that wasn't true . I was 15 when I knew about my gift , I did the right thing and pursued it ..
Mandlawenkosi : weren't you scared ?
Kgothatso : wouldn't you be scared walking on the streets like a child and coming across a dead person who's talking to you like a normal person ? It was scary .
Mandlawenkosi : you've seen it all .
She chuckles ...
Kgothatso : right ..
She starts applying the herbs on his back as he winces ..
Kgothatso : I'm sorry .
Mandlawenkosi : it's hot .

Her face falls down ..

He sighs ..

Kgothatso : okay , I'm done . You can sit up ..
He sits up ..
Mandlawenkosi : thank you , again .
Kgothatso : no issue .
Mandlawenkosi : please pass me my shirt .
She nods and reaches out for the shirt , she hands it over to him and he puts it on .
Mandlawenkosi : let me go ..
Kgothatso : oh yeah ..
He stands up and they walk out , their hands touch there by the door as she winces a bit .
Kgothatso : why is your hand hurting me ?
Mandlawenkosi : your hand is the one that's hurting mine .
Kgothatso : there's still some tension between us ..
Mandlawenkosi : which is understandable , we just met .
They walk back to the dining room ..
Bab'Ndlovu : ready to go ?
Mandlawenkosi : yes ..
MaMofokeng : you can actually see how blessed you are , your life is being saved in the process of marrying your soulmate .
Kgothatso : soulmate ? haa koko yoh .
Mpiyakhe : it was great meeting all of you , we feel incredibly positive about this alliance .
Masentle : definitely , everything seems to be going quite well .

He chuckles .
Kgothalo : you're getting used to him .
Kgothatso : he's not that bad .
Kgothalo gets up from the chair and they walk to where everyone is .. Mandla glances at the both of them ...
Kgothalo : lets walk you out ..
Mandlawenkosi : you ?
Kgothalo : yes ...
Mandlawenkosi : well ... okay .
Kgothatso : he's kind of moody , don't take it the wrong way .
Mandlawenkosi : no sweat .
