CHAPTER : 38 .

She walks downstairs and glances at Mandla who's eating cereal ..

Kgothatso : my husband may be the most dramatic man on earth .

She says in a low tone ..

Kgothalo : I think he's hurt but he's transforming the pain into anger .

Kgothatso : I wish he knew what I felt .

Kgothalo : do you know how he feels ?

Kgothatso : he doesn't open up .

Kgothalo : are you opening up ?

She sighs lightly .

Samkele : are you still coming with me to the spa ?

Kgothatso : yeah ..

Samkele :  okay I'll go choose my outfit in the meantime , you eat breakfast .

Kgothatso : why are you eating cereal ?

Mandlawenkosi : I should be asking you that , I have a wife that I paid R300K lobola yet she can't get up in the morning and perform her wifely duties .

Kgothalo : bro ..

Mandlawenkosi : your sister is something else .

Kgothatso frowns and shakes her head .

Kgothatso : I'm gonna vomit in this house I swear .

Kgothalo : you both are acting childish .

Kgothatso : as if I asked him to pay the 300K , sies .

She walks to the kitchen and grabs a bowl , she makes cereal for herself and sits on the counter wiggling her legs .

Kgothalo : what the **** is wrong with you both ?

Kgothatso : Mandlawenkosi is childish .

Kgothalo : why can't you sit down and talk like adults ? Why are you fighting each other ?

Kgorhatso : I'm not fighting , he's the one who's fighting and blowing everything out of proportion . I'm the one who's gonna carry the child and give birth to her/him . Imagine how I'm feeling right now ..

Kgothalo : but he's the father of the child also , he's feeling pain .

She sighs ..

Kgothatso : you're literally defending Mandlawenkosi right now .

Kgothalo : I dont want to take sides , you know I've never supported you where you were wrong and I don't want to encourage you to always think you're right .

Kgothatso : hmm , i hear you .

Kgothalo : you love him ?

Kgothatso : I love him alot , i love him beyond words .

Kgothalo : fix this ..

She nods lightly ..

Kgothatso : he irritates me because he acts like a Bachelorette when he's mad , he goes around drinking and gets lipsticks on him .

Kgothalo : I heard about the little situation .

Kgothatso : i don't like it when he gets angry with me because then , we can't connect emotionally and sexually .

Kgothalo : sexually ?

Kgothatso : I'm sexually frustrated .

Kgothalo : you don't sound like you were a virgin for 25 years straight .

Kgothatso : my husband's good magical stick makes me like this , its not me .

He makes a face ..

Kgothalo : you don't need to tell me that .

Kgothatso : I'm explaining to you , just like how you always explain to me about your wife's special qualities. 

Kgothalo : ah Kgothatso **** you ..

He says walking out as she laughs , she finishes eating and places the bowl down . She walks out of the kitchen and goes to where Mandla is sitting ..

She sits on the table as he frowns .

Mandlawenkosi : you don't do that .

Kgothatso : lets talk .

Mandlawenkosi : i really don't want to talk Kgothatso .

Kgothatso : communication is key .

Mandlawenkosi : funny how you still remember that but couldn't even open up to me . Weird ....

Kgothatso : I think I was wrong ..

Mandlawenkosi : you think ?

Kgothatso : okay I was wrong ..

She sighs ..

Kgothatso : I feel disconnected to you , may I sit on your lap ?

Mandlawenkosi : where is Kgothalo ?

Kgothatso : I think he's in the bathroom or something .

He nods , she repositions and sits on his lap..

Kgothatso : how do you feel ?

Mandlawenkosi : I feel hurt , betrayed and angry . You saw something that's going to affect the both of us and the only person you thought of telling was Kgothalo , i get that he's your twin and you share a veey special bond but I'm your husband Kgothie , I want you to vent out to me . I want you to tell me everything good and bad that happens to you .

Kgothatso : I hear you and i respect you for being honest .

Mandlawenkosi : i feel sad because you're about to be pregnant with a child that we won't even get to see or raise . That's the most hurtful thing , I'm hurt ... I'm not ready to experience the moment that our child departures from your body as a stillborn . The thought of that moment just fucks me up .

She nods .

Mandlawenkosi : I don't even know how you feel because you're acting like you're okay .

Kgothatso : i am okay .

Mandlawenkosi : you're not , you're acting as a strong woman yet you're about to face the biggest fear of every woman's life . I don't know how you feel inside because you don't let me in .

She nods lightly ...

Kgothatso : I'm still learning and trusting the process .

Mandlawenkosi : i understand .

Kgothatso : I feel more connected to you right now , because you're able to be open like this to me even though you just annoyed me about the whole R300K thing .

He chuckles .

Mandlawenkosi : I didn't mean that , I was just irritated . Everything is so confusing .

Kgothatso : I know ..

Mandlawenkosi : I don't want to be on bad terms with you , I hate that . I can't even get any time with you now .

Kgothatso : and I'm sexually frustrated .

He chuckles ..

Mandlawenkosi : Samkele is here .

Kgothatso : the walls are sound proof .

Mandlawenkosi : I'm not going to work ..

Kgothatso : but I am going to the spa thingie so see you when I come back .

He plants a kiss on her lips and she smiles ..

Kgothatso : I'm sorry .

Mandlawenkosi : I'm sorry too , and I love you .

Kgothatso : love you more .
