Chapter 18
KGOTHATSO .CHAPTER : 18 .
— AN HOUR LATER .
He walks down the stairs after having a very long shower , the aroma filling the entire house as Kgothatso cooks in the kitchen . He takes a deep breath and walks to the kitchen .
Mandlawenkosi : hey ..
She glances at him then back at the pots ..
Mandlawenkosi : you're still mad ?
Kgothatso : I never said I was mad .
Mandlawenkosi : you're upset .
Kgothatso : I don't know what you're doing about ..
He sighs and sits on the high stool ..
Mandlawenkosi : I didn't know she'd be here , I didn't know she'd pull that stunt .
Kgothatso : why didn't you change your locks or something ?
Mandlawenkosi : I didn't think she'd do this .
Kgothatso : she's practically invading our privacy , I just moved in and your "ex" barges in with a lingerie and red roses all over the bed ? come on Mandla .
Mandlawenkosi : I'll change the locks .
Kgothatso : I'm married to you , Zobuhle isn't .. I'm the one who's sacrificing my happiness just for your health . Show me some respect , as much as we don't love each other , we're married and this is my house . No woman must come in here and tell you how much they love you whereas I'm in the same house . I can pack my stuff and leave , I'm not about to be a wife that watches her husband's ex going all crazy in a house that's supposed to be ours .
He heaves a sigh and nods .
Mandlawenkosi : I'm sorry , I'll make sure I upgrade my security so she can never have access to my house .
Kgothatso : hmm ..
Mandlawenkosi : please don't be angry with me , it's not nice .
Kgothatso : I'm just pissed .
Mandlawenkosi : I'm really sorry .
Kgothatso : okay , I'm cooking you some samp , beef stew , creamy spinach and pumpkin . I hope you have a big appetite ..
Mandlawenkosi : that shouldn't even be a question .
She chuckles and continues cooking ..
Mandlawenkosi : I wanted to ask , do you drink ?
She shakes her head .
Kgothatso : I don't drink .
Mandlawenkosi : you chose not to drink ?
Kgothatso : yeah , I don't see myself as someone who drinks in the future honestly .
Mandlawenkosi : you have such a well balanced life .
Kgothatso : in the spiritual world , my life is balanced and perfect . But , in the real world , where have you ever seen a 25 year old virgin who still doesn't know a mere kiss ?
He raises his eyebrow ..
Mandlawenkosi : what ?
Kgothatso : yep .
Mandlawenkosi : (chuckles) ..
Kgothatso : it's bad I know .
Mandlawenkosi : im just shocked but I'm actually amazed . Girls break their virginities at the age of 13-15 , you're 25 and pure .
She smiles .
Mandlawenkosi : that's something you don't really have to be ashamed about that .
Kgothatso : it's just weird .
Mandlawenkosi : it's not , they can say anything but that's just you .
She nods .
Kgothatso : words of encouragement .
Mandlawenkosi : there's no other way ..
Kgothatso : i actually need to start packing my closet , there's so much to do .
Mandlawenkosi : I would help you but...
Kgothatso : you don't want to touch my clothes ?
Mandlawenkosi : not that I want to , it's just ...
He presses his lips together and looks aside , she begins laughing as she closes the pot and walks over to him . She sits on the counter ...
Kgothatso : you're the most shy man I've ever met .
Mandlawenkosi : I'm not shy .
Kgothatso : I'm your wife , you must be used to me now .
Mandlawenkosi : I am used to you , what are you talking about ?
Kgothatso : you're so funny ...
She gets off ...
Kgothatso : you're so adorable .
Mandlawenkosi : mx , please leave me . I'm just gonna go and play fifa .
Kgothatso : okay then , you can go .
He stands up and walks out , she shakes her head smiling .

— Hours Later ..
She sets up the dining room and places the bowls of food on the table , she then places the plates and jag of juice .
Kgothatso : food is ready .
Mandlawenkosi : coming .
He walks in barefoot and sits down ..
Kgothatso : you washed your hands ?
Mandlawenkosi : I did , don't attack me .
Kgothatso : okay then .
She sits down and dishes up for him ..
Mandlawenkosi : that's fine .
Kgothatso : okay ..
She then dishes up for herself and they say grace , once they're done . They start eating .
Mandlawenkosi : we leave at about 9am tomorrow because it's gonna take us about an hour and half to reach Centurion .
Kgothatso : 9am ? ohh my beauty sleep .
Mandlawenkosi : you'll sleep in the car .
Kgothatso : okay , will they like me though ?
Mandlawenkosi : the minute they see your face , they're gonna die .
Kgothatso : and why is that ?
Mandlawenkosi : you're too gorgeous .
She stops eating and glances at him ..
Mandlawenkosi : I hate to lie .
She hides a blush and looks down ..
Kgothatso : thank you .
Mandlawenkosi : you're more than welcome .
Kgothatso : is the food good ?
Mandlawenkosi : the food is good , you're actually such a great cook ..
Kgothatso : I was raised quite well ..
Mandlawenkosi : I see ..
They continue eating .
Kgothatso : I'm full .
Mandlawenkosi : I'll wash the dishes .
Kgothatso : you will ? I mean .. I could do it .
Mandlawenkosi : they're not a lot , you cooked and I'll wash the dishes.
Kgothatso : okay , thank you .
He nods .
Kgothatso : I'll go pack .
Mandlawenkosi : okay .
She stands up and walks upstairs , she walks her newest bedroom and goes to the closet as she begins unpacking her suitcases .

Once she's finished packing her clothes in the closet , she puts on her pajamas since it was almost evening . She then walks downstairs ...
Kgothatso : the obsession is real .
He chuckles focusing on the screen playing ..
Mandlawenkosi : don't make me lose .
Kgothatso : I'm just gonna grab a fruit and then leave you to your game .
Mandlawenkosi : you can come and sit with me .
Kgothatso : and watch you play , no thanks .
Mandlawenkosi : there's another controller here , you can always play .
Kgothatso : do I look like I know how to play fifa though ?
He chuckles again .
Mandlawenkosi : I'll teach you , just come .
Kgothatso : I have a bad feeling about this but okay .
She walks over to him and sits down , he pauses the game and hands her another controller . She takes it ..
Mandlawenkosi : so I'm gonna tell you what each button is used for okay ?
Kgothatso : take it away ..
He starts explaining to her what each button is used for .. once he's done , she chuckles .
Kgothatso : I'm gonna lose this but let's see .
Mandlawenkosi : you should lose vele because there's no way I'm letting you win .
Kgothatso : don't get competitive with me .
Mandlawenkosi : I can't promise you anything ..
