KGOTHATSO .CHAPTER : 21
He takes a deep breath before walking closer to her , he slowly wraps his muscular arms around her as she inhales his cologne . She wraps her arms around his waist laying her head on his chest . Tears fill her eyes ...
Kgothatso : I feel incredibly safe with you .
Mandlawenkosi : so do I ..
They stand in the same position for a while , she lifts her head up glancing at him .
Kgothatso : they're not good for you .
Mandlawenkosi : I believe you .
He gathers the courage to plant a kiss on her lips as she immediately feels like the universe is aligning .
Mandlawenkosi : lets go ..
He hugs her one last time and they walk out of the room .. she walks back downstairs to the kitchen as he walks to the study where they were sitting with his father and Mpiyakhe .
Mpiyakhe : coming back with smiles and all ?
Mandlawenkosi : am I smiling ?
Bab' Ndlovu : my daughter inlaw is the cause , this one .. I'm sure of .
Mandlawenkosi : oh really ?,
Bab'Ndlovu : it's obvious .
He sits down and pours himself a glass of whiskey .
Mandlawenkosi : please don't tell her I was drinking or else she'll kill me .
Bab'Ndlovu : we won't .
Mpiyakhe : no but why are you smiling ?
He gulps the glass down ..
Mandlawenkosi : I'm inlove with my wife .
Bab'Ndlovu : what ?
Mandlawenkosi : I'm telling you .
Mpiyakhe : are you fucking serious ? you're only realizing that now ?
Mandlawenkosi : huh ?
Mpiyakhe : weren't you aware that you were inlove with her ? The first time you met .. you didn't realize ?
Mandlawenkosi : that doesn't matter , what matters is that I love her now ..
Bab'Ndlovu : well there's anything wrong with loving your own wife .
Mandlawenkosi : we connect on a more deeper level , being with her brings me some sort of peace .. if I didn't hug her right now then I swear i would still be doubting our relationship or marriage rather .
Mpiyakhe : you hugged ?
Mandlawenkosi : I wanted to talk to her about something and seeing that she was in some sort of an emotional place . She asked for a hug and I gave in ...
He smiles and pours him another glass .
Mandlawenkosi : the hug cleared all the doubts I had .
Mpiyakhe : so will you tell her ?
Mandlawenkosi : what ? no .. she obviously doesn't love me so I can't tell her how I feel . I'd be slapping myself in the face ..
Mpiyakhe : but you don't know how she feels ..
Mandlawenkosi : she told me she doesn't love me yesterday , we're just in this marriege simply because she wants to help me .
Bab'Ndlovu : if you managed to love her within days , surely she can too .
Mandlawenkosi : I don't want to overwhelm here , she's just getting used to the fact that she's a married woman now and getting used to the house . After the stunt that Zobuhle pulled yesterday , I don't want to ruin my chances now ..
Bab'Ndlovu : what did your Chinese doll do now ?
Mandlawenkosi : she's not mine , Kgothatso is mine .
Mpiyakhe : what did she do ?
He sighs .
Mandlawenkosi : we found her at the house and she was in a lingerie and had rose petals all over the bed and the floor .
Mpiyakhe : (laughs) Zobuhle never ceases to amaze me ..
Mandlawenkosi : Kgothatso was mad , she was so mad .
Bab'Ndlovu : I hope you handled the matter well ..
Mandlawenkosi : I did , I had to tell her where to get off and the Security is currently getting renewed .
Bab'Ndlovu : good ..
Mandlawenkosi : you know what I like about Kgothatso is that .. as a married woman , she knows that my house is hers . She refers to my house as her house and she does all that she wants to do . She doesn't feel awkward about anything .
Mpiyakhe : she's clearly been taught about marriage and everything . She lived with her grandmother and mother for years .. imagine the life lessons and advices she was given ... she knows her way around life .
They nod .
Mandlawenkosi : I think I'm gonna have the first best experience of marriage for the first time in my life . Kgothatso makes things so easier , I really won't be anything without her .
Bab'Ndlovu : she holds your life like this ...
He says illustrating with his hand ..

IN THE KITCHEN ...
Brenda : Mandla loved climbing trees! heh you'd say Mandla isn't in the yard , kanti he's up in the tree .
Samkele : (laughs) he would run and chase dogs , your husband was an adventurous person yoh .
Kgothatso : I'm glad I get to experience this shy side of him not the wild one .
Brenda : he has become shy over the years , I don't know why .
Kgothatso : I prefer him shy , not so many man are this shy and calm all the time .
Brenda : he is a great man , you definitely scored there . My son is the best you'll ever see .
Kgothatso : hmm ..
Samkele : ma , do you know that sis Kgothatso has a twin brother ?
Brenda : you do ?
Kgothatso : I do .
Brenda : you're such a unique human being , does he gave a gift too?
Kgothatso : no he doesn't , I'm the only one along with my grandmother .
She nods .
Brenda : I'm just happy that you're joining our family now , maybe they'll stop being jealous of one another .
Samkele : especially Mpiyakhe's wife ..
Brenda : she's bitter , I think her main problem is that Mandlawenkosi generates more money than Mpiyakhe .
Samkele : yet Mpiyakhe doesn't see any problem with that , she's just so irritating .
Kgothatso : it's a good thing that they're not letting her get in between of them .
Samkele : they're pretty tight .
Kgothatso : and we're done . I need the bathroom ..
Brenda : you can go to the one in Mandla's room .
She nods and walks upstairs ..
