CHAPTER : 09 .

She holds Kgothalo's hand once the Ndlovu's drive off . Now she does miss Mandla a little .

Masentle : well he's a good looking boy .

MaMofokeng : shy as well .

Masentle : you guys look perfect together , I'm obsessed .

Kgothatso hides a smile .

Kgothatso : you liked him ?

Realeboga : so much , we can't even wait for the wedding now .

Kgothatso : oh wow ...

Kgothalo : he is a quiet guy .

Gosiame : yeah he doesn't need to say much .

Kgothatso : lets go , I need to go back to Sandton and attend my shift .

Masentle : won't you take time off work ?

Kgothatso : why ?

Masentle : this is gonna be a very busy week , the next coming weeks also since you're not gonna be here .

Kgothatso : haa ?

MaMofokeng : and I don't think Bab'Ndlovu will let you work whereas you're a married woman .

She sighs .

Kgothatso : I can't stop working and expect Mandla to be the one providing for the both of us .

Kgothalo : she's right , they cannot expect her to be a housewife , she is a medical doctor and African healer as well . She's been doing both for years now and I don't think getting married should stop her .

Masentle : we will address this matter properly when we meet again so we could resolve .

Kgothatso : there's really nothing to resolve , I'm not quitting work .

MaMofokeng : did you take Mandla's phone number ?

Kgothatso : I did ..

MaMofokeng : talk to him ..

She sighs again .

Kgothatso : I don't know ..

Masentle : you're not gonna be afraid of speaking to your husband .

Kgothatso : I'm not afraid .

Masentle : you're just not used to him yet ?

Kgothalo : you will get used to him , don't worry .

They walk back inside ..

Masentle : and he doesn't eat alot .

Kgothatso : he wasn't feeling a bit well .

Kelebogile : pulled him to the room for a little something .

They drive in and jump off the cars .

Bab'Ndlovu : that was a very good meeting .

Mpiyakhe : her family is very nice , they're so nice .

Bab'Ndlovu : right ..

Samkele : and they're friendly as well .

They walk inside as Mandlawenkosi immediately freezes by the door .

Mandlawenkosi : what are you doing here ?

Zobuhle : you seem quite better .

Bab'Ndlovu : and I think that's our cue to leave , we'll be in touch .

Mpiyakhe : tell her everything brother , she deserves it .

He nods lightly , the three of them walk out ..

Zobuhle : tell me everything ? what does that even mean ?

Mandlawenkosi : you didn't tell me you were coming .

Zobuhle : I wanted to surprise you but I found you gone .

Mandlawenkosi : you disappear for a good 4 weeks , you left the minute I started being ill .

Zobuhle : Mandla , I couldn't handle seeing you in pain so I had to go .

Mandlawenkosi : you leave the man you claim to "love" and say you didn't want to see me in pain yet I needed you the most ?

Zobuhle : you just don't understand , I didn't know how to help you .

He chuckles and shakes his head .

Mandlawenkosi : even if you didn't want to help me , you could've stayed and not run . What kind of a woman are you ? you don't love by the vow "through sickness and in health"

Zobuhle : okay look , I'm sorry , please forgive me .

Mandlawenkosi : sit down , we have something to discuss .

Zobuhle : what is it ?

He walks over to the table and sits as well ..

Zobuhle : what's wrong ?

Mandlawenkosi : you know ... my family and I are very spiritual . So me being sick , I require a healer to save me .

Zobuhle : ohh ? that weird woman in your family ? The sangoma ?

Mandlawenkosi : no .. not her . She tried helping me but it wasn't possible .

Zobuhle : but you seem better .

Mandlawenkosi : I have to marry her .

Zobuhle : what ?

Mandlawenkosi : you heard me , I don't want to repeat myself .

Zobuhle : marry her ? What do you mean marry her ? You're supposed to he marrying me .

Mandlawenkosi : now I can't , because they chose her .

Zobuhle : why can't they choose me ?

Mandlawenkosi : I'm actually glad that you're not screaming right now .

Zobuhle : no I'm trying to understand , what type of bullshit is that ?

Mandlawenkosi : you're not the one for me and I don't want to disrespect my wife to be to that extent where I bring my girlfriend over and she's here .

Zobuhle : she's gonna be moving in ?

Mandlawenkosi : my wife can't live in a different house while I live here , obviously.

She sighs ..

Zobuhle : I can't believe you're doing this to me .

Mandlawenkosi : lets be real Zobuhle , you're not the type of partner that sticks with their partner through thick and thin . Kgothatso didn't even budge to want to save my life because she knows how to heal me .

Zobuhle : so because I'm not a healer , I'm not the one for you ?

Mandlawenkosi : precisely .

Zobuhle : if she wasn't a healer ?

Mandlawenkosi : the point is she's a healer and I'm marrying her . I can't be thinking of "what if's" right now .

Zobuhle : guess I have to be a healer to .

Mandlawenkosi : it's not a joke Zobuhle , this is a matter involving my life and I don't think you want me to lose my life .

Zobuhle : of course I don't want you to lose your life but another woman is getting married to the man I'm supposed to get married to .

Mandlawenkosi : some things aren't meant to be , you're selfish but I love you . You left me at my weakest and Kgothatso saved me at my weakest . There's a difference between the two .

She nods .

Zobuhle : do you love her ?

Mandlawenkosi : I don't love her .

Zobuhle : so you're gonna be living with a woman you don't love ?

Mandlawenkosi : yes .

Zobuhle : what about me ?

Mandlawenkosi : to avoid further misunderstandings , I think it's best we break up because I can't be married and have a side chick too .

Zobuhle : so you're choosing someone you don't love over me ?

Mandlawenkosi : you know the reason , you're not stupid .

Zobuhle : I hope she satisfies you as much as I did because then , you're gonna miss me .

Mandlawenkosi : you can go pack up your clothes in the meantime , she's moving in soon .

Zobuhle : this is a joke honestly , these spiritual things of yours are just mad ..

Mandlawenkosi : be careful of what you say Zobuhle , do not disrepct the ancestors .

She stands up and walks upstairs , she takes the green liquid from her boobs and pours it on his bed .
