Chapter 3
KGOTHATSO .CHAPTER 03 .
— THE FOLLOWING DAY .
She rolls out of bed and puts on her sleepers , she walks to the bathroom and grabs her toothbrush and toothpaste then begins brushing her teeth . Once she's done , she walks out of the bathroom and heads downstairs .
Kgothalo : you're finally awake .
Kgothatso : I had a really long night , I only slept like a few hours ago .
Kgothalo : I'm making you breakfast ..
Kgothatso : okay , thank you hey . The pain subsided , I think I helped him .
Kgothalo : yeah ..
Her landline phone rings as she walks towards it and picks it up ..
Kgothatso : yes ?
Security guard : ma'am there's a woman here , she's busy saying she needs to see you and that , it's a matter of life and death .
Kgothatso : a woman ?
Security guard : she looks like a sangoma , she's covered in some red thing .
Kgothatso : oh ..
Security guard : should I kick her out ?
Kgothatso : let her in Menzi , it's fine .
Security guard : ma'am are you sure ?
Kgothatso : let her in .
She places the phone down and waits for the door bell to ring , the minute it rings , she walks to the door and opens .
Gogo Manzini : thokoza ..
She raises her eyebrow .
Kgothatso : is there anything I can help you with ?
Gogo Manzini : I believe you know why I'm here ?
Kgothatso : I feel like I know but I can't figure it out .
Gogo Manzini : do let me in ..
She moves out of the way as she walks in chanting the Ndlovu clan names .
Kgothatso : what may I help you with ?
Gogo Manzini : the eldest son of the Nldovu family seeks your help , he's the one you saw last night when you were having pains on the mark on your back .
Kgothatso : how did you know ?
Gogo Manzini : you don't need to ask .

Gogo Manzini : thank you .
She sits down ..
Gogo Manzini : I don't normally sit down in people's homes but because I'm here to pick the right flower , they've allowed me to sit .
Kgothatso : the right flower ?
Gogo Manzini : the Ndlovu ancestors request that the Mofokeng ancestors and them form an alliance .
Kgothatso : Kgothatso please make tea ..

She sits down ..
Kgothatso : what do you mean form an alliance ?

She sighs confused .

Kgothalo walks into the lounge and places the tray on the table ..
Kgothalo : hello ..
Gogo Manzini : thokoza ..
Kgothalo : I'll be upstairs , I have to go anyways .
Kgothatso : I'll call you , crazy shit is happening right now .

She nods , he disappears upstairs and Kgothatso glances back at Gogo Manzini .
Kgothatso : so I said I'd like to speak to my grandmother first and hear what she has to say about this .
Gogo Manzini : you don't have a lot of time , he's worsening day by day and we're all afraid that he may lose his life soon .
Kgothatso : just give me today and tomorrow .
Gogo Manzini : okay .. can I leave my phone number ?
Kgothatso : sure , and you'll take mine so we could communicate .
Gogo Manzini : I'd be delighted ...
She nods , they exchange each other's phone numbers .
Kgothatso : if I may ask , how did you know where I live ?
Gogo Manzini : I know alot that you don't know , I know when you'll die or when you have a child .
Kgothatso : okay that's confusing .
Gogo Manzini : I know it is , I know way beyond than you do but truly speaking , you're the only one who genuinely heals .
Kgothatso : thank you for coming , I'd like to meet him once I talk to my grandmother .
Gogo Manzini : okay .
She stands up .
Gogo Manzini : I'll tell him I met you .
Kgothatso : if I may ask , what happened ? Why is his back stabbed down to his spinal cord ?
Gogo Manzini : lets say , he got intouch with the wrong people .
Kgothatso : okay ...
Gogo Manzini : I'll take your leave .
Kgothatso : what's his name ?
Gogo Manzini : he'll tell you when you guys meet .
Kgothatso : okay ..
Gogo Manzini : I'll take your leave .
She walks out and closes the door , Kgothatso throws herself on the couch sighing heavily ..
Kgothalo : I was about to leave .
Kgothatso : I have to get married to someone I don't know just because I have to save his *** .
Kgothalo : who is he ?
Kgothatso : apparently , he'll tell me when we meet .
Kgothalo : so you're getting married ?
Kgothatso : with grandmother's approval of course
Kgothalo : let me go , atleast you're better now .
Kgothatso : I'll let you know what she says ..
Kgothalo : okay ..
He hugs her and walks out , she grabs her phone and dials her mother's phone number .
Masentle : Kgothatso ..
Kgothatso : may I talk to grandmother ? There's something important we need to discuss .
Masentle : okay ..
There's shuffling on the other side of the phone ...
Masentle : hold the phone properly ..
MaMofokeng : Kgothi ..
Kgothatso : Ma ..
MaMofokeng : did they come ?
Kgothatso : who ?
MaMofokeng : I mean , did she come ? your husband's traditional healer ?
Kgothatso : you already knew ?
MaMofokeng : I saw everything .

She says sighing .

She sighs and groans lightly .

MaMofokeng : it's normal to feel scared when you meet your future husband .
Kgothatso : don't make me feel worse . We'll talk , I love you bye .
MaMofokeng : I love you too .
She hangs up ..
Kgothatso : what have I gotten myself into ..
