KGOTHATSO .

CHAPTER : 32 .

He arrives at his family's home and drives in , he parks the car and jumps off . He opens the back door and carries a sleeping Kgothatso inside ..

Samkele : is she sleeping ?

Mandlawenkosi : hmm ..

He moves his eyes to his aunts that are sitting in the lounge ..

Mandlawenkosi : you didn't come to my wedding , why is that ?

Florence : why would we go where we are unwanted ?

Mandlawenkosi : you could've showed up and supported me .

Selina : haa so your wife can act somehow towards us ? no thanks .

Florence : anyway what happened to her ? she marries you and suddenly gets sick ?

Mandlawenkosi : I don't think you must know anything , you weren't there so you must not know anything especially if you've acted differently towards my wife .

He walks into his bedroom and places Kgothatso on it , he covers her properly and kisses her forehead as one tear falls off .

Mandlawenkosi : whats happening to you Kgothatso ..

He sighs heavily and stares at her for a while before walking out ..

Samkele : what happened ?

Mandlawenkosi : she went into a trance , she kept seeing this woman who was sitting under a tree .

Samkele : must've been hard to see her like that neh ..

Mandlawenkosi : she's been crying alot ..

Samkele : if you could just be there for her .

Mandlawenkosi : Im not going to abandon her .

His parents and Mpiyakhe walk in alongside Nelisiwe ..

Brenda : hei , Nelisiwe please prepare tea for us . We've come a very long way .

She stops scratching herself and glances at her mother inlaw disgusted , she walks to the kitchen and clicks her tongue in there .

They all sit down in the lounge ..

Brenda : is she sleeping ?

Mandlawenkosi : yeah ..

Florence : you're all treating this girl as if she's gold .

Dorothy : right ? there's not even a special about her .

Mandlawenkosi : thats my wife that you're talking about , dont make me lose my cool .

Lilly : you've changed ever since she came into your life heh ..

Bab'Ndlovu : if i were you , I'd ask myself when I'm going back to my sad excuse of a house instead of busy poking your nose in Mandla's marriege .

Brenda : exactly , my daughter inlaw just came home and I'd like that she receives the treatment she deserves . She's Mandla's protector and life partner for heaven's sake .

They roll their eyes , Nelisiwe walks in with the tray ..

Brenda : have tea ..

Mandlawenkosi : im okay , i might need something much stronger than tea at this point . I can feel how hurt she is ..

Mpiyakhe : did she tell you what she saw ?

Mandlawenkosi : she didn't , I'll ask her once she wakes up .

Mpiyakhe : hmm ..

Lilly stands up and walks to the kitchen , she checks the coast and quickly rushes to Mandlawenkosi's bedroom . She walks in ans glances at Kgothatso who's still sleeping .

Lilly : there you are ..

She takes the white powder from pocket and starts pouring it on her ..

Lilly : the child you're gonna be pregnant with will not survive , you will lose this child ! you will lose this child at birth !

Kgothatso gasps waking up crying , Lilly quickly runs out of the room as Kgothatso looks around .. Mandlawenkosi and the family walk into the bedroom ..

Mandlawenkosi : hey are you okay ?

Kgothatso : someone was here ..

Mpiyakhe : in here ?

Kgothatso : yes , someone was here .

Mandlawenkosi : who of you dared to enter my bedroom and interrupt my wife ?

Brenda : don't you all respect other people's privacy ?

Mandla sighs and sits next to Kgothatso ..

Mandlawenkosi : I'm here for you okay ?

She nods lightly taking deep breaths ..

Samkele : do you need anything ? Water or ?

Kgothatso : water is fine .

She walks out ..

Brenda : we were so worried about you .

Kgothatso : can they please get out ? 

Bab'Ndlovu : who ?

She points at the aunts ..

Florence : (laughs) are you serious ? We are here to see you and check on you but you're chasing us away ?!

Mandlawenkosi : she has a reason for everything she does , so please .. go from our bedroom please . The four of you ..

Lilly smirks and walks out first ..

Mandlawenkosi : get out ..

Mpiyakhe : just go .

The three of them walk out ..

Kgothatso : I want to go back to joburg ..

Brenda : but you just arrived here .

Kgothatso : my heart feels heavy , i can't breath .

Bab'Ndlovu : I think you two should go back to joburg tomorrow , her ancestors will not be satisfied with the fact that we're keeping her here without her consent .

Mandlawenkosi : hmm ..

He glances back at her ..

Mandlawenkosi : what did you see back there ?

Kgothatso : huh ?

Mandlawenkosi : you went into a trance , who did you see ?

Kgothatso : that woman .. i saw her .

She lied , that's not what she saw .

Kgothatso : i dont want to talk about it .

Mandlawenkosi : it's okay . Please give us space ..

They nod and walk out ..

Mandlawenkosi : how do you feel ?

Kgothatso : the energy here is not for me .

Mandlawenkosi : i can see. 

Kgothatso : I just want to go .. I want to go .

Mandlawenkosi : i feel like you're hiding something else from me Kgothatso .
