MBALI
My hands shake, noticing how much blood just flowed out of me. What's going on with me? Am I dying or something? I drag my feet to the bathroom. It's not even my period date as of yet. I don't understand what's going on.
I sit on the toilet seat letting all the blood out, I let out tears because it hurts so bad. Once I feel the blood flow decreasing, I get up and glare at all the blood in the toilet. I grab a tissue and wipe myself, I need a doctor. I flush and walk to my bedroom, I grab my phone and call Luyanda..
“Hey.” She says answering the phone.
“Luyanda..something's wrong with me. I don't know what it is..” I say crying, it hurts so much.
“Calm down Mbali, calm down and tell me what's happening?” She says.
“I'm bleeding, I'm bleeding so much. It hurts Luyanda..” I say crying.
“I'm coming, just hang in there or something.” She says hanging up. I decide to go to the bathroom and run a bath for myself. My legs are trembling and my heart is pounding fast.
After some time, Luyanda gets here and she drives me straight to the hospital. It keeps getting worse and worse.
“Now I wonder what's wrong with you Mbali, you were fine mos ealier today.” She says increasing the speed as I continue crying in pain. I hear her dialing a phone number on her phone..
“What are you doing?” I ask her, I glare at the screen on the car and she's calling Sbanisenkosi.
“Luyanda don't call her, she's not gonna come.” I say, she shakes her head.
“You don't know that, don't think that Sbani doesn't care anymore and she mustn't also think you don't care anymore.” She says, the phone rings for a while and she picks up.
“Luyanda..” She answers the call.
“I'm driving Mbali to the hospital, something's wrong with her. She's bleeding hesvily.” She says.
“Which hospital?” She asks.
“The nearest one, can you come?” Luyanda asks her.
“I'm star gazing with Nkanyezi and his brother..” She says, I feel my heart sinking. What was I expecting? we ended our friendship.
“Oh Sbani come on, you're not this person. Come to the hospital because it's actually bad.” Luyanda says hanging up. She continues driving to the hospital till we arrive. I immediately get admitted..

LUYANDA
Mbali just got admitted and I'm shaking in my boots. She looked so awful and she definitely looked like she was in pain. I mean..we all do horrible stuff in our lives and we deserve second chances. I don't wish anything like this upon my friend and I know Sbani doesn't wish something like this upon her.
An hour passes and I feel like my heart is tearing up. I'm sweating and I'm very afraid. I just hope she's fine..
“Luyanda..” I quickly glare at the opposite direction and see Sbani standing there with Lincoln's sons. They're glaring at me some type of way, an uncomfortable way.
“How is she?” She asks hugging me.
“They haven't told me anything. They've been busy with her..” I say sniffing. She glares at me and wipes off my tears.
“Don't cry..” She says.
“Thank you for coming, I..I needed you so bad.” I say, she smiles a bit. She glares at Lincoln's sons.
“I'll stay here..” She says, I see Christopher's face changing. The other one is just looking blank.
“Are you sure you want to stay behind with her or them?” He asks, she nods.
“It's fine. Luyanda will drive me to my place or I'll crash at her place.” Sbani says, Christopher glares at me and frowns.
“Okay..” He says.
“Let's go..” He says to his brother, they walk off and I feel myself calming down kancane. Their presences scares the shìt out of me.
“Let's sit down, my legs are hurting me.” She says sitting down and I follow. I just feel like her weight multiplied.
“She was bleeding heavily and she was crying in pain..” I say.
“I wonder what happened..” She says sitting back, I glare at her belly..
“Since when do you have a potbelly?” I ask her, she sighs and shrugs.
“It's weird, I don't know nami. Everything's just been weird these days. I can't just figure out what the problem is.” She says. The door of the ward opens up and the doctor walks out. We stand up and meet her halfway..
“Are you the patient's relatives?” She asks, Sbani nods.
“We're her sisters.” She responds. The doctor nods ..
“She just suffered a utirine rupture and it unfortunately puts her life at higher risk.” She says, what?
“What's utirine rupture?” I ask her.
“It's s very life threatening situation where the uteras tears up.” She says, I don't know what she just said but it felt painful.
“So her uteras is tearing up?” Sbani asks her, she sighs.
“It has already teared up and that also put her unborn baby's life at risk. We tried to stabilize her but her body was too weak to even hold the baby that was the size of a blueberry.” She says, I feel tears making their way out of my eyes.
“She was pregnant?” Sbani asks, the doctor nods.
“But due to her heavily bleeding. She lost the baby and she's currently fighting for her life.” She says, I wipe off my tears.
“Is it possible to see her?” I ask her, she nods.
“You may come inside..” The doctor says, I hold Sbani's hand tightly as we walk inside. She's just laying there unconscious, God.. we stand besides her.
“This is f*cked up..” She says.
“Do you think this happened because she was too stressed?” I ask her, she sighs and shrugs.
“I don't know..maybe if I had talked to her at the resturant then she would've not been here.” She says, I shake my head.
“It's not your fault, you also weren't ready to talk to her and I pushed you to. I'm sorry, I should've done things differently.” I say.
“But you're the eldest and you were just trying to fix things. I also have to tell you that i don't need to rush myself to forgive Mbali, nor does she have to rush herself to mend things with me. These things take time and because I have therapy sessions. I look at everything differently now, I would've beaten Mbali up the moment I saw her at the resturant but with the self control that I now have, I chose to walk away rather than causing unnecessary drama.” She says.
“So what's going to happen when she wakes up?” I ask her..
“As much as I don't want to be near her as of now, I can't turn my back on her while she's in this state. We're sisters.” She says, I nod.
“Forever..” I say.
