WRITTEN IN THE STARS
31
It's been a few days and everything seems to be going well. Sbanisenkosi is back to work and she's never been happier. Christopher is also back to work and he's a happier human being.
Christopher is in his office completing some work as Mbali enters the building in a short dress. The receptionist glares at her confused, who is she here for?
“Is Christopher in?” She asks, the receptionist scans her from head to toe.
“Do you have an appointment with Mr Biyela?” She asks, Mbali rolls her eyes and walks past the receptionist as she follows her.
“Sisi you're not supposed to do that. Mr Biyela is busy and besides, you don't have an appointment.” She says trying to stop Mbali by standing infront of her.
“If i call Mr Biyela right now and tell him that you're keeping his girl from going to his office, you'll be fired in a second.” Mbali says trying to scare the receptionist.
“You're not entering this elevator before I call Mr Biyela and ask him if I can let you in. Unless you want me to call security..” She says as Mbali steps back, she folds her arms.
“Tell him that his girlfriend is here to see him.” She says, the receptionist walks back to her desk and takes the telephone. She calls Christopher and he answers almost immediately.
“Yes what's going on?” Christopher asks her, the receptionist clears her throat.
“Sir, a woman who's claiming to be your girlfriend and she demands to see you. It's definitely not Ms Mbatha sir.” She says.
“Let her in..” He says hanging up, the receptionist glares at Mbali already annoyed by her presence.
“You can go in, 4th floor. First office on your left..” She says, Mbali shows her the middle finger and walks into the elevator. She presses the number 4 and the elevator closes.
While Christopher texts Sbanisenkosi that someone claiming to be his woman just came here. He waits for whoever that is and a knock comes through the door.
“Come in..” He says, Mbali opens the door and walks inside as Christopher's face changes.
“Hi Christopher..” She says walking in catwalking, Christopher frowns and leans forward.
“What are you doing here?” He asks, she sighs and sits down.
“You know, you're a really great guy and I hate seeing you make a fool out of yourself.” She says earning yet another frown from Christopher.
“You're not on speaking terms with my woman, so I hate to be near you right now after all you've done.” He says.
“Whatever I'm gonna tell you right now will change your mind about Sbani. She's not really who you think she is. She's just fooling you with her confidence and her personality.” She says making Christopher more angry.
“Sbanisenkosi has problems and she hasn't dealt with them. She's just putting on a face. I want you to know the type of woman you're with.” She says faking her concerns.
“What's the definition of a commited relationship to you? or maybe let's say an honest relationship. What's your definition of that?” He asks her, she sighs.
“And honest relationship is just simply being honest and open with your partner which is something that Sbanisenkosi hasn't been doing since you guys started dating. You told her everything about you but she didn't tell you everything.” She says.
“An honest relationship is just simply being honest and open with your partner so what makes you think that my partner hasn't been open with me?” He asks in an angry tone..
“She has stuff she hasn't told you..” She says with confidence.
“I just wonder how you remained friends with someone you're jealous of, to he honest.” He says, Mbali frowns.
“I'm not jealous of Sbanisenkosi, I'm far better than her..” She says, Christopher chuckles.
“Sbanisenkosi, my partner has everything she manifested for when she was younger. She has a career and she's a millionaire, she literally has everything she ever wanted before even turning 26. That's beautiful, don't you think?” He asks with a smirk on his face. Mbali frowns immediately..
“I came here to tell you something, not to listen to your compliments about Sbani.” She says.
“It's really refreshing to brag about your woman.” He says sitting back.
“Look..Christopher, Sbanisenkosi isn't the type of woman you want to be with or even marry one day. She's way..loose than you think, she might turn on you and cheat in this relationship. That's how I know her.” She says.
“Also tell me about the part where she used to dance in clubs, sleep with married men and when she used to become a drug addict. Come on, tell me..” He says standing up and Mbali glares at him shocked.
“What???” She asks him shocked, he glares at her furiously and grabs her arm aggressively making her stand up.
“Listen here, I'm in a relationship with Sbanisenkosi..not you. Stop meddling in our business and focus on yourself. This shìt you're trying to pull, it's not gonna work. Even if my woman was selling her body then I would still love her like I love her right now. You don't shake me, you don't shake our relationship. You're not a threat, you disgust me. For someone who's been a best friend to Sbanisenkosi for 2 decades, you're a literal piece of shìt and I don't want to see you ever again.” He says, Mbali shivers. He lets go of her arm and she runs out..
Just then, she bumps into Sbanisenkosi who was walking to Christopher's office. Mbali glares at her and quickly wipes off her tears.
“What were you doing here?” She asks grabbing her arm to prevent her from running off.
“Sbanisenkosi let me go.” Mbali says.
“Were you here to tell my man about my past? Mbali I'm really not that person anymore and I think it's best you stop trying to ruin everything for me. People like Nkanyezi are accepting me as I am, I never thought this day would come but I'm glad it did. I get to see your true colours and how you really feel about me.” She says twisting her arm.
“You're hurting me..” Mbali says.
“You know I can do worse, don't push me. I'll drag you to the nearest hell hole Mbali, you know me.” She says.
“Child of a bìtch, atleast I can't say my bitchy behaviour comes from my parents or anything. I did this to myself but you? your mother is a piece of pùssy who sold on the streets. You're just like her and I'm afraid you might just grow up like her.” Sbanisenkosi says and Mbali frowns, she pulls her arm away and plants a slap on Sbani's cheek.
“How dare you??” She asks, Sbani glares at her. Christopher walks out and finds them in the passage.
“You heard me, your mother was selling her pùssy and she still does! that's why her daughter still sleeps around at the age of 23! that's why your degree keeps getting canceled. You're rotten wena!” She shouts, Christopher walks towards them and tries pulling Sbani away but she refuses.
“You dated old men, you slept with them for money. You were a drug addict, you were an alcoholic and you want to tell me shìt about my mother? oh please Sbani are you God?” Mbali asks.
“Sbanisenkosi stop this..” Christopher says
“I slept with them for money but what did you sleep with them for? for love? you thought a man old enough to be your great great grandfather!” She shouts.
“Does that make you a better person? you're dirty sisi! old men dìcks used to go in that pùssy of yours! it's not tight! This boyfriend of yours is only lying!” Mbali shouts and Sbanisenkosi lands a punch in her face.
“Go fùck yourself wena! my mistakes don't define the woman that I am right now. Grow the fùvk up!” Sbani shouts attempting to attack her but Chris pulls her away forcefully.
“Christopher let me go! let me go right now!” She shouts, catching people's attention. He pulls her to the office and shuts the door.
“Would you stop having such a loose mouth Sbani haii..” He says, she throws herself on the couch and folds her arms.
“You just insulted her mother..” He says.
“I did, she should go fùck herself mahn!” She shouts again and he heaves a huge sigh.
