WRITTEN IN THE STARS
33
Christopher receives a message from his mother that Sbanisenkosi is there st their house and is saying things that aren't clear. He's confused and can't help but wonder what she's doing there. He packs up his stuff and walks out of the office, he rushes to his car and drives off in speed.
Unaware of what he's gonna find out, he arrives after a short while and spots Sbani's car in the parking lot. He drives in and parks the car, he jumps off and walks inside as he meets Sbanisenkosi who's shouting at his dad.
“Sbanisenkosi...” He calls her out and she turns, her face is all sweaty.
“What are you doing? that's my father you're shouting at.” He says, making her aware.
“Your father? do you even know what your father did?” She asks shouting, Nkanyiso is standing there, watching along with Mrs Biyela.
“What did he do?” He asks stepping closer to her..
“Whatever she's about to say to you, she's lying.” Mr Biyela says as Sbani glares at him in shock. He's been quiet all this time and he speaks when Nkanyezi is here?
“Sbanisenkosi, what did my dad do?” He asks again, she wipes off her tears and points at him.
“I told you that Luyanda said she was molested, today..she told me that the man who did this to her was none other than your sìck father.” She says, Mrs Biyela stares at Lincoln for a while. Noticing how he is sweating while Alexander stands there laughing because there's no way right?
“Sbani, time for jokes is over. Stop joking please..” Alexander says, she shakes her head.
“I'm telling the truth!” She shouts, Christopher clenches his jaw and grabs Sbani's arm.
“Are you crazy? how dare you accuse my dad of such a thing?” He asks in an angry tone.
“I'm not crazy! i am not accusing your dad Nkanyezi!” She shouts trying to free herself from his grip.
“How can you accuse me of something like this Sbanisenkosi? what have I done to you that you're accusing me of molesting someone?” He asks, pretending..
“Luyanda confessed to everything okay! she told me every single bit of the truth. Don't deny anything please, just tell the truth!” She shouts.
“Why would my dad ever think of molesting your friend? does he seem like that type of man, Sbanisenkosi don't annoy me please!” Christopher shouts.
“Do you think I would lie about something like this? don't you trust me?” She asks glaring at Christopher.
“How can I trust you when you're spitting rubbish? You're lying Sbanisenkosi. If your friend told you this, then she's spitting rubbish as well !” He shouts.
“Didn't you go on a date with Luyanda? didn't you pay her R20K so she can send you a picture of her boobs? didn't you guys text each other? Please tell your family the truth!” She asks Lincoln who chuckles.
“Nothing of that sort ever happened little girl, I've been loyal to my wife for years. Why would I choose to be disloyal to her after what we've been through together?” He asks, Sbanisenkosi's palms begin sweating.
“So what you're doing right now is basically accusing my dad of râpe? a 61 year old man? really Sbanisenkosi??” Christopher asks, Sbani heaves a sigh. Feeling her anger boil up.
“He's your dad, you're obviously going to defend him. But my friend is sitting in her apartment, crying her eyes out because of this man!” She shouts.
“What is she crying for when my dad didn't do anything?” He asks.
“The only thing I did was meet up with her and tell her that she doesn't stand a chance with me because I'm married and I have children. I'm old enough to be her dad and she approaches me with the intention of being in a relationship with me or sleep with me? I didn't agree to anything!” Lincoln says lying through his teeth.
“So your friend is loose to that extent? wanting to hook up with a man that's old enough to be her damn father? wow..wow the friends you have? I must applaud them.” He says clapping his hands.
“Here, here is my phone. There are no text messages between that girl and me. I haven't called her or anything.” Lincoln says again, Sbanisenkosi glares at the phone he's extending to her. She grabs it harshly and throws it at the wall.
“FUCK THIS! You're lying! why would Luyanda say you ràped her when you didn't?” She asks.
“Because she obviously has a silly crush on me and she'll do anything to ruìn me. That's the reason.” He says, Sbanisenkosi's tears stream down and she finds herself planting a slap on his cheek.
“SBANISENKOSI !!” Christopher shouts at her and grabs her arm.
“Your friend is loose, she doesn't love herself if she attempted to go after a married man! My dad didn't do anything, I know what type of friends you have. If she wanted my dad, she obviously was going to any extent to have him but because my dad is an innocent man who values his marriege. He ignored her, being the man he is.” Christopher says staring at her right in the eyes.

SBANISENKOSI
Christopher is holding my arm harshly, he's staring at me right in my eyes. I glare at his dad and he winks at me. He did this..he did this and he knows. He's trying to paint himself to be the good person, I'm the bad person in this. Luyanda is the wrong one.
“If I ever hear you accuse my dad of this bloody thing then Sbanisenkosi, I'll drag you out of my life. You even had the guts to slap him? Are you that disrespectful?” He asks.
“You'll drag me out of your life? why don't you drag me out now? for standing up to a rapìst? you want to drag me out of your life? Fùck off Christopher.” I say breaking free from his grip.
I glare at Mr Biyela, I wipe off my tears and walk out of the house. I unlock my car and jump in. I drive out and dial Luyanda's number.
“Sbani, are you okay?” She asks, I sniff.
“You're also wrong Luyanda! I warned you against Mr Biyela and you didn't listen ! Look now..” I say crying.
“I'm sorry, I'm sorry Sbani..” She says.
“I need the screenshots of your conversation with him. All of them..” I say.
“Okay, I'll send them right now.” She says, I hang up and wipe off my tears. I can't stop crying. He winked at me, proving what I was saying to be true.
She sends the screenshots within minutes and I forward them to Christopher. Once I'm done, I block his number and drive to my parents' house. I might crash right now because I'm not able to think clearly, I'm angry...
