1 MONTH LATER...
I buy the carrot cake she claims to love now, along with some sliced pineapple and watermelon. She just asked me to bring those because she hasn't eaten all morning. We've been on the break for a month now and it's coming well, the space is all we needed to be honest.
My dad is in jail and I believe it's best because he didn't seem sorry for what he did to Luyanda, however I don't wish to meet with that girl and apologize for my dad's actions because she initiated everything. That shìt almost cost me my relationship and I'm genuinely grateful that Sbani is still in my life and we're working on fixing it and becoming better people.
I'm now driving to her apartment, I think we started meeting up 2 weeks ago because we believed the space between us was too much. We've been talking and reflecting on our progress. I reach her apartment and park my car, I jump off with the stuff she asked for and I walk to the door. I open up and she's sitting in her lounge watching K-drama. If there's anyone who dies for K-drama and K-pop then it's definitely her.
“Hey.” I say closing the door and placing her stuff on the counter, she gets up and walks towards me looking all cute in her pajamas and fluffy sleepers.
“Is it everything I need? I'm really starving.” She says taking out the cake along with the watermelon slices and pineapple slices as well.
“There's everything you need, even extra.” I say, she nods and walks over to the drawers. Call me crazy but a lot of weight has been gained here.
“Don't stare, I know I look fàt and I can't understand why.” She says, I chuckle and sit on the high chair.
“Aren't you working?” She asks, I shake my head.
“I'm only going to the office tonight to complete the presentation I'm supposed to make for my seniors.” I say, she nods and cuts the carrot cake.
“Do you want some? i know you're not a fan of sugar but let's share.” She says, I nod.
“Only a piece of slice..” I say, she nods and cuts the cake. She gives me my slice on a saucer.
“Thank you.” I say, she nods. I watch her as she cuts herself some slices. I'm counting them and I'm here wondering why she's having 4 slices of cake.
“I didn't eat last night because you didn't come with my food since you were busy with work and I told you that I don't want anything that's in my fridge right now. It makes me vomit, I need to buy new groceries because those stuff in there are so bad.” She says, venting..clearly.
“I'll order groceries for you, I'm sorry if I made you not to eat last night.” I say, not sure of what I'm apologizing for but okay.
“My therapy session went good, I'm making progress.” She says, I smile and nod.

“It's good that you're making progress and you're able to talk about some of the issues you faced in the past.” I say, she nods and eats her cake. So her therapy sessions happen here twice a week. She opted to go for the private ones because she wants to be more open without being around a lot of people.
“Don't you think the space we've given each other is enough?” She asks, I glare at her.
“A month is a lot and considering that I love you beyond everything and expectations, it's been hard.” I say, she nods.
“I think so too, my therapist has made me aware of the positive attitude you bring out in me. She has also reminded me that you're my first serious relationship, I shouldn't give up when stuff fall apart. I love you, from the bottom of my heart and I'm trusting the progress I'm making right now.” She says, God this woman? this woman is the one.
“Okay so can you be my partner Ms Sbanisenkosi Mbatha?” I ask her, she smiles.
“I mean I've been your woman all this while, we just happened to date from a distance.” She says.
“So that's a yes?” I ask her, she nods.
“Why would it be a no? Of course I'd like to be your partner again.” Sbe says planting a soft kiss on my lips.
“Now, i was eating and you happened to interrupt me.” She says moving her attention back to the cake.
“The pineapples look good, can I have some?” I ask her.
“Everything I eat we're always gonna share baby, stop asking.” She says handing me the packet. I don't know why she's saying that because she almost killed me last week when I ate her chocolates.
“Also, I think I'm ready to introduce you to my parents and my younger brother.” She says.
“Really? I'm finally getting introduced to the rents?” I ask her, she rolls her eyes and i laugh.
“I swear to God, I'll cancel. Don't do that..” She says.
“Okay I'm sorry, so when are we going? i need some new clothes so I can go there looking fresh.” I say.

“You have new clothes, there's no need to buy clithes. You're fine as you are..” She says.
“Ni I'm not, I'm gonna get myself a new hair cut as well.” I say, she shakes her head and continues eating. I'm just glad that everything is going okay, this is all I ever needed. A great partner to settle down with..
Once she's done eating, sbe immediately dozes off on the couch and I cover her with the mini blanket since it's a little bit cold outside. I sit on the couch besides her and take my phone. I'm not a fan of TV but.. somehow I'm liking this K-drama what what. She got me addicted to it, I hear the door bell ring and I hope it's not my mother because she's been coming a lot these days. I stand up and walk to the door. I open up and sigh.
“Ma come on..” I say, she laughs and walks inside holding more food. Somebody help, she's overfeeding her.
“I didn't think I'd find you here. I guess everything's falling into place?” She asks, I nod.
“You can stop coming to check up on her, she's fine as you can see.” I say, she shakes her head.
“A woman that's expecting should be taken care of, she lives alone and I'm actually worried.” She says, expecting what? money?
“Expecting what?” I ask her, she smiles.
“What else could she expect? a baby !” She says, I stare at her and begin laughing. She should just say she's joking because this is a very funny joke.
“What are you laughing at? you think I'm joking and I can't see these things?” She asks, I become serious in a minute.
“You'll kill me with a heart attack, be serious ma haa.” I say grabbing a bottle of water in the fridge.
“Okay then, I'm joking.” She says unpacking some of the stuff she brought, yeah she's joking vele. We're not even into 3 months of our relationship, we aren't ready.
