NKANYISO
I don't know what's hard, having to face the new reality of your dad being a ràpist or just telling your mother that her own husband is a bàstard. I'm at the graveyard right now. I woke up missing my mother a lot and I've been dreaming about her lately.
“I think we're happy, the woman who dad married..my mother is incredible and she's being what you were to us. A true, supportive and thoughtful person. She just happened to get married to someone who doesn't even acknowledge his wrong doings.” I say, holding the flowers I bought for her tombstone.
“I haven't found a partner, or let me say a girlfriend. I don't feel like finding out because honestly, I don't believe in love like that. I agree, when it happens. It will happen and we can't stop anything. Nkanyezi is very happy; he's literally drowning in happiness. I'm happy too because life has been kind to us. Life has been changelling to us but here we are, still standing strong and ready for any obstacle.” I say.
“I think you would've loved sister inlaw if you were still alive. She's thoughtful but also crazy when she wants to be. If it wasn't for her then we wouldn't have been able to find out the truth about dad.” I say.
“She turned my brother in a man who's able to commit himself to their relationship and a man who's able to communicate without escaping reality.” I say, I'm genuinely grateful for sister inlaw's presence is my brother's life. I don't want to lie.
Once I finish talking to my mother, I utter a little prayer and stand up. I walk to my car and jump in. I drive to Christopher's place since I've been staying there for a while since our mother needed some space alone. I get there after a short and to my surprise, his car is here. I really thought he'd still be with sister inlaw. I walk inside and find him cleaning around, he's really cleaning? Oh wow.
“Hey, what's up?” I ask entering the house and placing my keys on the key holder.
“Hey, where did you go?” He asks dropping the broomstick.
“I went to mom's grave.” I say, he glares at me. I know he thinks something's wrong but nothing is really wrong.
“Are you okay?” He asks, I nod.
“I dreamt of her yesterday and she hasn't left my mind ever since so I thought of going to talk to her and check on her.” I say, he nods.
“I was thinking of taking Sbani as well, I need my mother's blessings on our relationship.” He says.
“Just make sure you ask Mom because she might feel offended.” I say, he nods.
“I was intending on telling her, Sbanisenkosi is also introducing me to her parents and brother as well so things are getting insanely serious right now.” He says.
“So you two are back together? the break thing is over?” I ask him, he nods.
“The break is over, which is good because I was going crazy. The park where we didn't have any conversation or phone call over the phone hurt me a lot.” He says.
“You were out here looking like a depressed person so i understand you. It's good that you're back together maybe you can introduce her to our step sister since she's coming back from the UK..” I say.
“That can happen..” He says, Adrianna is our step mother's only daughter. She works in the UK as something that has to do with environment.
“And why are you cleaning? I cleaned in the morning.” I say, he shakes his head.
“You didn't clean well enough, you didn't even mop. You know that if mom comes here and finds the house like this, she'll make us move back home since we can't clean up after ourselves.” He says.
“You know her too well, let me just change because I have to pop by the office. I thought you'd be at Sbani's place.” I say.
“That girl, Luyanda called her out for some early breakfast so I thought of coming back here to complete some of my work. Also avoiding the fact that when she comes back, she might come back with that girl and I don't want to see her.” He says.
“Understood..” I say.

SBANISENKOSI
I just arrived at the resturant Luyanda said we're meeting at and I'm very happy that I'm seeing my bestie. We have so much to talk about even though it feels like a third person is missing, doesn't matter anymore.
“How is that jean tight on you? I thought it's big..” She says, I shrug.
“I've gained so much weight in the last month. I don't know how when i was stressed so much.” I say sitting down.
“You actually so beautiful, your face is out here glowing and the skin is giving. Love it for you baby.” She says grabbing the menu.
“I need some prawns with fries mina. I'm craving for some seafood today.” I say glaring at the menu.
“Get tbe prawns and the fries along with some lemon and garlic bread.” She says, I nod.
“I'll get that, I'm also gonna get this drink. I haven't been feeling like having alcohol these days. I've been sober for 31 days straight..” I say.
“I think therapy is helping you, it's really helping you.” She says. The waiter finally attends to our table and takes our orders.
“News flash, Luzuko and Reatlegile are working on their relationship and they're coming okay.” I say, she nods.
“That's very good to hear to be honest, I felt so bad on Mbali's behalf.” She says.
“I think we should let everything be as of now. I'm focusing on the positive and so should you..” I say.
“But how can we focus on the positive if we haven't really gotten any closure? for people who've been best friends for 22 years. It's very heartbreaking to just end a friendship like that after all the struggles we went through together.” She says.
“Luyanda please don't do this, Mbali and I ended this thing and I just want to move on with my life. She rubbed the salt in my wounds, she made me feel so guilty about everything that I did as a youngster. She reminded me of my past and didn't even care how I felt. She even went as far as trying to tell Nkanyezi about my past not giving me any chance to explain to him.” I say.
“You know how much Mbali's mother worked so Mbali and her siblings could eat back in the days. You rubbed that in her face and you physically assaulted her. You insulted her mother Sbani” She says. I heave a sigh and look aside..
“forgiveness doesn't kill anyone, I even told her this. This is a friendship that molded itself into a sisterhood. Can't we get past this? I'm the eldest and right now, I'm asking that we have a conversation. The three of us..” She says.
“Hi Sbanisenkosi..” Mbali says standing right infront of me, I heave a sigh and get up.
“What is she doing here?” I ask Luyanda.
“Please sit so we can talk friend, just this once..” Luyanda says, I glare at Mbali and shake my head.
“Excuse me..” I say walking out, I stand by the wall. I'm afraid that I'll end up laying my hands on her. I'm trying to control herself, I don't understand why Luyanda is doing this. My therapist said I should do everything on my own pace. Even if Mbali and I talk after 5 years, it's okay. It's when I'll be ready, right now..the wounds are still fresh.
