SBANISENKOSI 

“No man in my life.” I say avoiding their eyes, I don't know why that just felt weird. No mad in my life? Is that how it is? 

“You're lying..” Luzuko says, I shake my head. 

“Guys please don't come for me, I'm 25 and I don't need to tell you guys anything. It's my life.” I say. 

“Yep, there's a man in your life. Who is he?” Sipho asks. 

“And you'd think I'd tell you guys? hell no..” I say gulping down the whiskey and placing the glass on the table. 

“You'll tell us when you're ready.” Luzuko says, I honestly don't know what I'm even gonna tell them, that I met this guy at the Red Room and we ended up in the bathroom together? haa? Luzuko would be so disappointed in me. 

“Is that mom and dad? I think it's them.” Sipho says pressing the remote that opens the gate. 

“You're drunk, please act normal.” Luzuko says. 

I roll my eyes and wait for my parents to walk in, they walk in looking like an old American people. My parents always dress to kill please.. 

“Hi!” My mom says running to me, she's such a girly girl. It's crazy 

“You look so good mama haa!” I say hugging her, she's my best friend before Mbali and Luyanda. 

“You look gorgeous nana!” She says kissing my cheek and glaring at Luzuko. 

“Why didn't you come with our daughter inlaw?” She asks Luzuko pulling his ear and we laugh. 

“Haa Ma I said I'll bring her next month.” He says. 

“You better..” She says taking off her fingers off his ear, she hugs her laughing. 

“Oh my boy, we missed you so much.” She says, my dad walks in and glares at me. I know he thinks I'm already drunk and he's right! 

“Which bottle of whiskey did you drink this time?” He asks and I laugh. 

“Daddy come on..” I say hugging him. 

“Yep she's drunk.” He says kissing my forehead. 

“What kind of a wife are you going to be? my dear you're forever drunk.” He says, he's mocking me. 

“I'm not gonna get married.” I say. 

Who would want to marry a woman who doesn't know how to cook and always drinks when she finds the chance? I'm not an alcoholic though. Whiskey and champagne are my favourite drinks. I watch as he proceeds to hug Luzuko. Oh this feels like a family reunion. So cute! 

“We bought some seafood boil for you guys.” I say. 

“Perfect because I didn't even cook, you should've notified me that you both were coming nani.” She says. 

“Don't worry, we got you sorted.” I say, my phone rings in my handbag and I reach out for it. 

“Excuse me, I think it's a business call.” I say walking off and going to the kitchen, I  answer the call and place it over my ear.

“Sbanisenkosi Mbatha hello?” I say as the person on the other end chuckles.

 “So formal...” He says and my face changes, my heart beats fast.

“Christopher?” I say. 

“So you do recognize my voice? how cute.” He says, I sigh.

“What do you want?” I ask him, he better not say my pussy or else I'm gonna scream. 

“I can't seem to stop thinking of you.” He says heaving a sigh. 

God help me out here, this man with tattoos is driving me insane and I can't think clearly because of him..

“You need to stop, where did you get my number?” I ask him. 

“I called your office and your receptionist gave me your number because me and you have some business to discuss.” He says. 

“Christopher I'm not playing, this is not a joke.” I say.

“Okay okay, I'm sorry. I'm just waiting for you to come here tomorrow. I'll make sure I cook up a storm for you..” He says, I frown. 

“I'm not playing, I'm not gonna be there for long and definitely not in your presence.” I say. 

“Why? don't you enjoy my presence?” He asks, he has to be joking. How can I not enjoy his presence when all I've been doing is moan and scream? Haa!

“I can't wait to see you tomorrow and please, wear another thong so I can have it again. I need to stock them up...” He says, he's sick. 

“Christopher stop it, this is not a joke!” i say. 

“We don't need to make anything serious, let's just have fun please.” He says, he's not serious and he thinks everything is a joke. 

I hang up the phone and block his number, I feel like he's toying with my emotions. However, I don't know why I'm feeling like this, I feel so frustrated actually I never want to hear from him!

“Why did you hang up on him?” My mom asks standing by the door and I jump out of fear.

“Ma..what are you talking about?” i say faking a chuckle, I'm dead..

“You didn't tell me about a man in your life like you always do. What's different about this one?” She asks, I sigh and place my phone down. 

“I feel like he's not serious.” I say. 

“Ma I don't know why I'm feeling like this, he's frustrating me because he keeps mentioning FUN, what if I don't want to have fun?” I say heaving a sigh. 

“So if you don't want things to not be serious then you want them to be serious?” She asks, I genuinely don't know.

“I don't know..” I say. 

“My dear, I know you and I know how you are. Are you inlove with this man you're hiding from us?” She asks, what? love? 

“Whoaa Ma don't jump the gun, what are you talking about now?” I ask her, she chuckles. 

“Commitment isn't such a bad thing my baby.” She says, I shake my head. 

I'm not supposed to feel this way because of a man I met at a club and later on had a moment in the bathroom. That shouldn't happen, Chris looks like a player and I don't want my emotions to be toyed with.

“Think about this..” She says taking out the plates. 

“The thing is, his dad came to the office and asked me to design his wife's house. I'm going there tomorrow and I know I'm gonna see him eitherway..” I say. 

“Ohh? it gets better mos.” She says laughing, she doesn't understand. I'm dying over here.

“Don't do that, I'm actually panicking.” I say heaving another sigh. This is too nerve-wracking, I feel like my emotions are taking over. The sexual emotions disappeared and now.. I don't even know what am I saying.

“Maybe if you talk to him, he can see where you're coming from.” She says, I shake my head. I doubt he'll listen, he looks like he doesn't listen.
