One thing I am grateful for is that, for the rest of the week, we don't have any exams until the next week, so we are going to be able to heal and get some much needed rest because honestly I don't think any of us are going to be able to study or write anything.

Yesterday was the longest day of our lives not to mention how traumatic it was.

Peach hasn't woken up yet, but the doctor said that her not waking up isn't a bad sign, she just needs to rest for a couple of hours. I am just worried about her, she hasn't eaten for hours.

I spent the entire night trying to track down this Ty character but I had nothing to go on with, he is a seasoned gangster, he probably knows how to disappear under the radar. I come from an organisation where we don't believe in loose ends because those loose ends always come back to finish you when you least expect it.

Since I couldn't track him, I decided to check his assets, one way or the other I had to make him pay for what he did to Peach, he owns a club with two of his friends, Thabiso, Thulani and then it's him, hence it is called Triple T.

The club is obviously a cover up, to clean their dirty money because the books aren't even balancing, there's a lot of money coming in. I created an offshore account and stole all that money, swept his accounts clean, personal and business.

Tumelo: Did you get any sleep?
Me: Nah, not really.

He walked in and looked at Peach.
Tumelo: You have to get some rest, Prime.
Me: I want to be the first person she sees when she wakes up Tumelo.

He nodded.
Tumelo: I'm sorry we can't find him.
Me(sighs): It's not your fault, he's a seasoned gangster. He obviously knows how to disappear, but I've cleaned his accounts. Very soon he's going to need money to survive.
Tumelo: We've also set up secret cameras at his club and house, there are guys survelling his partners and his crew, their calls and texts are being monitored, if he makes contact with any of them we will know.
Me: That's great, hopefully he makes contact soon because I don't want Peach to live in fear, fearing for her life wondering when this guy will pounce again.
Tumelo: I feel you man, I can't believe he shaved her head bra, like I don't get it.
Me: He was probably looking for the tracker.
Tumelo: He didn't even do it right.

We laughed a little.
Me: Really? He was in a rush and he used scissors.
Tumelo: You need to sort it out Prime otherwise she will hate you.

I laughed, he had a point.
Me: Fine.

I got up and went to look for a hair cutter machine, I found those chargeable ones and sat on the bed and gave my baby a proper haircut, careful not to hurt her especially where she had stitches, I cannot believe she slept through all that, I smiled a little, she didn't look bad though.

I disposed of the hair and cleaned her up and went to wash my hands. When I returned she had woken up, trying to remove her oxygen mask and I rushed to her.

Me: Hey, hey take it easy baby.

I helped her sit up.
Peach: Can I please have a glass of water.
Me: Okay baby.

I poured her a glass of water and helped her drink it.
Me(smiles): I'm so glad you're awake baby, how do you feel?
Peach: Were you getting bored without me?
Me(chuckles): You have no idea sthandwa sami, how are you feeling?
Peach: I'm in so much pain but I guess that's expected.
Me: Where exactly does it hurt, baby?
Peach: My head, my thigh and just a little over my body, it hurts when I breathe as well.

I nodded.
Peach(smiles): I'll be okay sthandwa sami, please dont worry, how are you feeling?

I held her hand and kissed it and looked down for a while, I felt my eyes getting wet.
Peach: Shaka please look at me.
Me(emotional): I don't want you to see me like this Peach.
Peach: Ufuna ukubonwa ubani if it's not me ke Shaka?
Me: Yazi Ntando you don't understand the kind of hell I went through yesterday, I thought I was going to lose you!
Peach: I know Shaka, I thought I was going to lose you as well, I thought I was never going to see you again. In my final moments, I wasn't even thinking about my mother or father, not even my brother, I was thinking about you.
Me(sniffles): I don't ever want to go through what I went through yesterday ever again, Ntando.
Peach: Me too, baby.
Me(sighs): I've known from the moment I set my eyes on you that I loved you, but yesterday, seeing that car in flames, hearing you screaming like that, I just knew that I wasn't going to be able to go on with my life without you, Ntando I was willing to die with you, that is just how much I love you.

She exhaled.
Peach: I know that we haven't been faced with a situation that required me to prove to you just how much I love you as much as you have but—
Me: Don't even say that, we are not counting here Ntando, it is my job as your man to protect you, I know you love me, I know that if it were to come to it, you'd do anything for me Peach, do you want to know how I know that you love me?

She wiped her tears.
Me: Because you chose me, Peach.
Peach: I'd choose you all over again, Shaka.
Me: I know that sthandwa, remember what I told you when we agreed to be together?

I caressed her cheek, looking into her eyes.
Me: I said to you…I will be whatever you need me to be and all I want from you is for you to be… MINE.

She nodded.
Me: That's all I wanted from you, for you to be mine and I will be whatever you need me to be, and that's basically what I've been doing.

Peach: Shaka I want you to know that I really love and appreciate you and everything that you've done for me, I don't take the risks you've taken for me for granted, like yesterday was just peak, baby I know just how lucky I am to have you as my man, and whenever I pray to God I always mention you twice because you are such a blessing to me.

Me(smiles): You badly want to see me crying don't you?

We laughed a little.
Peach: Man, I heard you screaming, I saw you jump into a fire… you think things would change between us because you shed some tears? You're human as well baby.
Me(smiles): I love you Ntando, I love you with everything in me.
Peach: And I love you more sthandwa sami.

I kissed her cheek.
Peach: I don't ever want to speak about what happened yesterday ever again baby, I just want to forget everything that happened, yesterday was the worst day of my life, and I've had the worst days in my life, you know that as well but yesterday? Just thinking about it makes me emotional.

Me: I hear you sthandwa sami and I understand you, but please tell me, just this once what this man did to you.

She shook her head.
Me: Please baby.

Peach: Let's just say… the man hurt me baby, not sexually, God there wasn't any time for that but if there was, I believe he would have, I saw it in his eyes when he was tearing my clothes, touching me everywhere looking for the tracker, he was slapping me babe, I don't know how many times he slapped me, he kept pressing his gun over my wound where he had shot me, have you ever been shot before?

Me: No, I haven't, baby.

Peach: I pray you are never shot, baby it was so painful, he shaved my head and the peak was when he shoved the gun in my mouth, I swear I peed on myself in that moment, and you have to understand, I'm scared of guns so nje… I don't ever want to talk about that ever again, I will be taking a break from even seeing Dr Karen, this is something I'll have to deal with on my own in order to feel in control of my life again, my dignity was stripped from me in the most brutal way, all because of some sick revenge over someone who mugged me, I swear I'm in some movie or novel and I'm the main character and usually when a character suffers this much, at the end she gets her happy ending.

Me: And you will get your happy ending Peach, I promise you sthandwa sami, I am so sorry for what you went through yesterday you don't—
Peach: I deserved it, Shaka.
Me: You didn't –
Peach: I did, you killed those guys because of me.
Me: Peach, I don't ever want to hear you say that. Do you hear me? This wasn't your fault and you don't deserve what happened to you yesterday, do you hear me?
Peach: Shaka you killed someone because of me! Like I knew you did something to them because I didn't believe they brought my phone and wallet back willingly, I didn't know you had killed them, you killed them for me?

I exhaled.
Me: I'd do anything for you Peach, given the chance, I'd kill them again for what they put you through, I don't regret what I did to them, however I just wish he wasn't a coward because if he wasn't, he would have faced me like a man instead of going after you.
Peach: Well I mean, his approach wasn't far off.
Me: Don't blame yourself please do me that favour.

She nodded and her doctor got in.
Doc(smiles): I see our patient is awake?
Peach: Hi doc.
Doc: How are you feeling?
Peach: The expected pain I guess.
Doc: I'll give you something for that, for now I need to check you out.
Me: Let me give you guys some space.

I kissed her cheek and walked out, I went to where the boys were, Dr. Sipho, our boss Nick was also here.
Nick: Hey buddy.
Me: Hey boss, I have news, Ntando is awake.
Tumelo: Oh thank God!
Sean: How is she?
Me: She's okay, I mean she's in pain but she doesn't seem to have any memory loss which was my biggest worry.
Lungelo: That's great, but you don't seem okay?
Me: It's the way she's taking all of this.
Dr. Sipho: She's taking it hard? We can recommend someone to talk to.

I shook my head.
Me: That's the thing, the Peach I know would have woken up crying, you know? Deeply affected but she isn't, she's not reacting in the way that she's expected to react, I mean even when she told me what that guy did to her, she didn't shed even a single tear.
Lungelo: Uhm…that's weird.
Me: Right?
Nick: Yeah that is weird.
Me: Should I be worried?
Sean: Maybe she's tired of crying.
Lungelo: Nobody would blame her this time, she was kidnapped, she was beaten, shot at, left in a burning car, she needs to allow herself to deal with this, experience all the emotions.
Dr Sipho: Because if she doesn't, she will crash and it won't be pretty.

I exhaled and Detective Brandon got in with his tablet.
Det. Brandon: Guys! Gear up, we have intel, Ty has made contact, he's meeting with one of his friends in the next 10 minutes.
Nick: Do we have a location?
Det. Brando: Yes sir.
Nick: Prime, I think you should sit this one out.
Me: Absolutely not, I'm fine, I'm going.
Dr. Sipho: Gear up then gentlemen, let's go hunting!!

[THAMSANQA TYSON MKHUNGO]
I looked around as I got inside the car and shut the door behind me.

Me: Eksè, what's up?
Thulani: Ey the heat is on bro, whoever this boy is, he's connected to very powerful people, they are everywhere.
Me: And the girl?
Thulani: The girl is dead, there's no way she could have made it out.
Me: Things weren't supposed to turn out this way, I mean yes I wanted revenge but not against the girl.
Thulani: There's no use crying over spilt milk, we need to get you out of the country. I tried to get access to funds, but we've been cleaned out, but I managed to get you a fake ID, Passport and some cash.
Me: Thanks man, and again, I am really sorry for putting you guys through this.
Thulani: It's cool, we will bounce back from this, we always do.
Me: I'll be in Swaziland for a few months and then I will return hopefully by then, the heat will be off.

We shook hands.
Thulani: Make contact when you've arrived in Swaziland man so that I know you arrived safe
Me: Sure.

I attempted to get out of the car but I noticed a car at the far back.
Me: Has that car been there this whole time?

He looked back.
Thulani: No, when the hell did it get here?
Me: Do you think it's them?
Thulani: It's definitely them.

He started the car and the other car moved as well.
Me: Fuck!!

We took out our guns and he stepped on the car and the car behind us picked up the pace as well and it became a chase, Thulani made a call.
Thulani: Gents we have a problem, we have a tail we request immediate backup!!
Me: Shit! They've opened fire!!

It became chaotic, the car behind us was catching up to us and they were shooting at us. I think they hit both the back tires because our car started swerving sideways.
Thulani: We might need to run on foot, this car is not going to take us any far!
Me: We run on foot we will be dead!!

A bullet came from the back and hit Thulani on the shoulder and he struggled to control the car.
Me: Fuvk! Who the hell are these guys!!!

I started shooting back as well, Thulani failed to control the car and we crashed into some Ethiopian store.
Me: Let's go, let's go Thulani!
Thulani(groans): I can't, my leg is stuck, Ty you have to go!
Me: No, no, I'm not leaving you here!!!

Just then our crew arrived and it became a shootout between them and those guys while I tried to help Thulani out of the car, his leg was badly injured but we managed to get out.

Thabiso: Get in the car! We got this!!

We rushed to his direction.
Thabiso: Get in and get out of here—

He dropped to the ground, I looked around stunned!
Thulani: Fuck!! Who the hell are these guys Ty!!!
Me: They are just some hackers!!
Brian: Hackers don't this shit Ty! Did you do your research on these guys? F***!!!

Our crew was being eliminated and they were dropping like flies.
Brian: We need to surrender!!
Me: Oh fuck no! Surrender to who? This is the f**** government! We are making a run for it!!
Thulani(groans): I wont—

They got him, his brains splattered all over my face, what the hell? They've got snipers!!

Me: Sniper dot!!

I shouted and Brian and I got on the ground and crawled to the other side, bullets were flying inside this store, I grabbed a rack that had chips and hit the sliding door at the back and the glass shattered everywhere and we ran out.

Brian: Tyson what the hell have you gotten us into? You said this was a 23 year old kid and his varsity friends!
Me: How was I supposed to know that they were undercover government agents?

Durban at this time of the night was very dark but we had no choice but to run and then we heard a bike coming.

Me: You've got to be kidding me!!!
Brian(screams): Dogs!!!!

3 of them came out of nowhere, I tried to shoot back but I had run out of bullets! One of the dogs got Brian and he fell on the ground. I kept running and I could see the bike coming, and he was shooting back at me. I changed the route and got into someone's yard.

[TUMELO MORAKE]
Me(frustrated): Where the hell is he???
Prime: Calm down Tumelo, he has to be here, the whole place is surrounded, if he's anywhere, he's in these two houses!

I got off my bike.
Nick: Break into two teams, one team to the first house and the other to the second one, Prime, Tumelo, Lindani, Senzo you're with me, the rest you're on the second house, let's move gentlemen, Trixie!! Come here boy!

The dog followed us as we spread out all over the first house, Prime and I kicked the door down and everyone in the house screamed.
Me: Where is he?
Man(shaking): He jumped over to that side!
Prime: Are you fuckin' lying right now?

The whole family was so terrified, this is the North, they are probably used to gangs fighting in the streets but I doubt they ever expected the fight to get inside the house.

Me: We are government agents, this is agent Prime and I'm agent Tumelo, we are looking for a very dangerous man, we believe he's hiding here somewhere.
Nick: The rooms are clean, he's not in there.
Lindani: Clear in the back as well.
Nick(through the earpiece): Team 1, how is it going on your side? It's clear this side.

There was a lot of screaming and shouting on the other side.
Sipho: Clear this side as well.
Prime: He is somewhere between these houses!! I am not leaving here without his head!!!

He was really pissed right now, I noticed one of the girls looking at the window, terrified, knowing how hot headed Prime is, I made a sign to the boss, Nick and he nodded.

Nick: Let's check outside.

We walked out.
Prime: He has to be somewhere in here man, I know it!
Me: Shsssh!

I made a sign that he is here and probably behind the curtain window in the living room, Nick and Lindani, Senzo were already headed to the other side.
Nick(through the earpiece): Prime, Tumelo, ambush them.

Prime and I went back inside without warning and found him looking around the rooms like a rat checking the coast for the big bad cat.

Me: Thamsanqa Tyson Mkhungo it's over!!!

He grabbed the old lady and pointed at her with the gun.
Ty: Let me go or else I will blow her brains out!!!

Prime didn't waste time, he shot him on his knee and he groaned in pain, falling to the ground, I looked at Prime.
Prime: Oh come on, that shit is empty!
Me: What if it wasn't?
Prime: Seriously?

Ty tried to stand up and run but Nick and Senzo appeared from behind and he was surrounded, groaning in pain and Prime went to him and punched him in the face, repeatedly, he was like an animal possessed, I was even afraid he'd kill the man.

Nick: Prime that's enough!
Prime: Did I not tell you that I was going to find you? Did I not tell you that you chose the wrong girl to target? Huh? Did you even bother with the research?
Ty(groaning): Shaka please… Don't kill me!
Prime: I bet my woman begged you as well huh? But did you listen? Did you f***** listen???

He asked, pressing his gun on his wound on his knee and Ty screamed in anguish. I winced on his behalf. That's gotta hurt, like a lot!

Prime: Kumnandi right?
Ty(groaning): Noo!!!! Please!!!!! Please stop!!!
Prime: Shut the f**** up!!!

He shoved his gun on his mouth and I swear he pulled the trigger, we stood there frozen.
Nick: Prime?
Prime: Oh come on, why would I kill him without having fun with him first? I have no ammo.

I laughed.
Nick: You're a loose cannon, cuff him up.
Prime(smiles): You get to live another day buddy, oh I'm going to enjoy torturing you! Get up!!!

I tucked my gun at the back as they cuffed him, we walked out, the boss was still trying to calm the family inside, the house was a mess, good thing we are the government, they'll have this fixed by tomorrow.

Sean: Well, well look who it is! Not so mighty now are you Mr Mkhungo?

He shoved his face and Ty groaned, the boss lady had arrived together with her partner.
Agent Dark Phoenix: You sure made a mess kids.
Prime(smiles): We apologise ma'am.
Agent Dark Phoenix: So this is the leader?
Me: Yes this is the leader, the whole crew is dead.
Agent Dark Phoenix: Okay, we need to clean this up, we've attracted a lot of attention. I don't want you boys compromised, it's time to leave the scene.
Sean: Yes ma'am!
Agent Dark Phoenix: Prime, try not to kill the man.

We laughed as we walked towards the van, she was right people were out of their houses now, with the cameras out, taking videos of the massacre, we got inside the van and drove off.
Lungelo: Bra, Sasha doesn't seem to age! She's so hot!
Me: Buddy, don't let the boss hear you say that about his woman!
Prime: Uzofa wena.

We laughed.
Lungelo: Sasha da Showstopper has been my crush for the longest time and when she's on her Agent Gear, phew! The woman is hot okay! And very dangerous! She makes me stutter and I am not even the type.

I laughed while shaking my head, he's had it in for her for years. I don't blame him, she's like a decade older than him, he needs to stop dreaming.
Sean: I'm just glad that this is all over.
Prime: Yeah me too.
