Deadly obsession ,Chapter 31

SUKOLUHLE

Zibusiso : "You're not going to do anything," he says, his voice firm. He walkes down the stairs and stand next to me, a determined look on his face. His father look taken aback, his expression fearful. "Don't threaten my girlfriend ," he says, his voice rising. "I won't let you."

"You know what? I've heard enough of you, Father," he says. He takes my hand and led us upstairs ,he packs his clothes to the travel bag.

Me:"What are we doing?" I as, feeling a bit disoriented.

Zibusiso :"We're leaving," he says. "We'll figure out our next move when we're away from here."

Me:"I don't know if this is a good idea,"

Zibusiso :"Go pack your clothes,You'll find me in the car." He storms out of the room, and I sigh.

I go  to the room and started to pack my things. Noma, , wakes up and sit upstraight .

Noma:"What's going on?" Shr asks, clearly confused by the situation.

I seat on the bed and tell her everything that had happened, and Noma sighs.

Noma:"My father is getting out of hand," Noma says. "How dare he threatens you!"Noma continus, "I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. It's not fair. You don't deserve it. But you know what? I'll stay here with Zamo. I'll explain everything to her and make sure she's okay. Go with my brother ."

Me:"Thank you," I  say, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. "I really appreciate it."

With that, i finish packing my things and headed out to the car, where Thamsanqa was already waiting.

Zibusiso :"Are you ready?" he asks, looking at me.

Me:"Yeah I'm ready," i say, climbing into the car.

He started the engine and began driving away."So, where are we headed next?" I ask, my voice filled with curiosity.

Zibusiso :"We're going to stay at the Hippo Hollow Country Estate hotel," he replies . "I already booked us a room. It's about a 45-minute drive from here."I just nodded.

.....

I stared in wonder as we pull up to the Hippo Hollow Country Estate. The hotel is beautiful, with a grand entrance and lush gardens. We grabbed our bags and walk inside, where Zibusiso went to the reception to check in. The receptionist handed him a key and gave us directions to our room. I followed Zibusiso , my eyes taking in every detail of the hotel. Everything is so luxurious and fancy. I felt a little out of place, but also excited to be experiencing such opulence.

We walk into our room, and I  was blown away by what I'm  seeing . The room is spacious, with a large closet, a luxurious bathroom, a king-sized bed with crisp white sheets, a small kitchen, and a cozy living room with a TV. It is more than I  had ever imagined a hotel room could be.

Zibusiso  stood by the door, watching me take in the room.

Zibusiso :"Do you like it?" he asks, a grin spreading across his face.

I nod, still a little speechless.

Me: "This is amazing,"

Zibusiso:"I'm glad you love it"

Me:"But, baby, I still think we shouldn't have left the house," I  say, taking a seat on the bed. He seats down beside them."Your mother was happy when we arrived at the house, but how will she feel now that we left without telling her?" I ask, worried

Zibusiso:"I talked to my mother, baby, and she understood," ?he says, his tone reassuring. "We can still visit her every day. She'll be fine."

I still felt a little uneasy.

Me:"Okay if you say so, go take a shower,"

Zibusiso :"Am I that stinky?" he asks, laughing.

Me:"Well, maybe a little bit," I say, joining in the laughter.

Once he was in the shower, i walk to the kitchen to see what i could find for us to eat. I find some noodles and decided to cook them.

AT KHOZA 'S HOUSE

Khoza is reading the newspaper, when his wife joined him outside.

Lusindiso:''Khoza,'' she says, ''when will you stop doing this to our family?''

Khaya:''What are you talking about, my love?'' he asks , looking up from his paper.

Lusindiso:''Khoza, can't you see that you're driving your children away from you?'' his wife asks, a note of concern in her voice. ''If you continue like this, they'll hate you forever.''

Mr. Khoza sighed and closed his newspaper.

Khaya:"Mkami, these kids need to stop disobeying me," Lisakhaya says, raising his voice. "You're the one who encourages them to act this way!"

Lusindiso:"Don't start with me, Lisakhaya!" She responds, her voice raised as well. "I'm not encouraging our children to do anything. I'm simply supporting them in their decisions and things they think are good for them."

Khaya:"You think Zibusiso's decision to be involved with that young girl is good for him?" Lisakhaya asks, his voice thick with disbelief.

Lusindiso:"Yes, because he loves her and she loves him too," she continues . "What's the problem with you and that girl? Huh?" she asks, her voice becoming sharper.

Khaya:"She's not good for him, Mkami," Lisakhaya says, his voice becoming heated. "She's young and naive, and I don't think she's a good influence on our son."

Lusindiso:"You're being unreasonable!" She exclaims. "Zibusiso is an adult and can make his own decisions. He's not a child anymore, and you need to respect that."

Khaya:"Respect that he's making the wrong decisions?" he says, his tone sarcastic. "I can't stand by and let him ruin his life. He's going down the wrong path, and I won't let that happen!"

Lusindiso :"You're being overbearing!" she says, her voice rising. "You can't control every aspect of Zibusiso's life. He's an adult and has the right to make his own choices. He's not a child who needs to be told what to do."

Lisakhaya and Lusindiso  stares at each other, both of them clearly frustrated.

Lusindiso :"You know," she says, her voice calm but firm, "I would have thought that maybe you want this girl for yourself. Do you, Lisakhaya?" she asks, making her husband choke on his saliva.

Khaya:"What? What are you asking me, Mkami?" Lisakhaya sputter, looking at his wife in disbelief.

Lusindiso :"I'm asking you a question, answer me," ahe pressed. "Do you desire that young girl who is your son's girlfriend? Is that why you don't want her to be with our son?"

Lisakhaya's face flushes red as he stares at his wife, searching for words. He knew there was no way to answer her question without causing further conflict. He doesn't  want to hurt her or their son, but he also couldn't bring himself to lie.

Finally, he took a deep breath and said,

Khaya:"No, Mkami. I don't desire her. I'm simply worried about the influence she may have on our son. I want him to make good choices and be happy, and I don't think this girl is the right person for him."

Mkami's expression softens slightly, But she still didn't look convinced.

Lusindiso : "I understand that you're worried about Zibusiso, but you have to trust him to make his own decisions. He's a grown man now, and he's capable of deciding who is right for him. You can't force him to be with someone he doesn't want to be with, and it's not fair to try to manipulate his feelings. He deserves to be happy, just like you and I do."

Lisakhaya sighs and looks down at the floor, feeling ashamed of his behavior.

Khaya:"You're right, Mkami," he says. "I'm sorry for the way I've been acting. I was being selfish and wasn't thinking of Zibusiso's happiness. I was just concerned about him making the wrong decision. I know I can't force him to do anything, and I promise I won't try to manipulate him or his feelings. I just want what's best for him."

Lisindiso nods and reach out to take his hand.

Lusindiso:"Thank you for apologizing, Lisakhaya. I know it's hard to let go and trust our son to make his own choices" "You have to do the right thing now," she says firmly. "You need to apologize to your son and that girl. You can't threaten people, especially not your son's girlfriend. That's unacceptable."

Khaya nods, a forced smile on his face.

Khaya: "I understand. I'll apologize to both of them."

Lusindiso stands up from her seat and walked back to the house, unable to bear the sight of her husband any longer. As she walks away, she can not help but feel that something was amiss. Her husband's reaction to her question has been telling - there was something in his eyes that made her suspect that he has feelings for her son's girlfriend. But she can't  be sure. Maybe she is just being paranoid.

She shakes her head, trying to push the thoughts from her mind. But they keep creeping back in, like a nagging doubt that wouldn't go away.
