A few hours later, Zibusiso 's sister Noma came to the house to check on me. She said Zibusiso sent her ,She took me to a private doctor, who conducted a physical examination, including a pelvic exam to check for signs of injury or disease. I was so relieved when the results came back clear. I didn't have any infections or diseases. I also had my blood taken for a full blood panel, to make sure there were no other health concerns.

After we left the hospital, Noma took me to McDonald's.She seemed to know that I needed something to eat, and a change of scenery.

She seems very friendly and talkative person, and she kept me engaged the whole time. She told me about her family, her siblings, and her life. She even showed me pictures of her parents and siblings on her phone, I was getting to know her better.

As we reached my house, Noma pulled up to the curb and stopped the car. She looked at me and smiled.

Noma:"I'm glad I was able to help you," she says. "Let me know if you need anything else, okay?"

I nodded thanking her and got out of the car. Noma waved as she drove away, and I walked up to my front door. I opened it and saw my mother, Mam Hilda, busy in the kitchen.

Zamo was watching cartoons in the living room,I greet her and kiss her cheek. I walked into the kitchen and greeted Mam Hilda.

Me:"Can I help you prepare dinner?" I ask her.

She looked at me, a little surprised.

Her:"Are you sure? You don't have to do that. You must be tired."

Me:"I'm not tired," I said, smiling at her. "I want to help."

She smiled back at me, and we began preparing dinner together, we chatted while we worked. MAM HILDA is a great cook, and I enjoy watching her put together a delicious meal. After we were done, she thanked me for my help and left since it was her time to knock off.

I was about to head to the bathroom for a shower, when my phone rang. I saw that it was my friend Lubanzi calling. I answered the call and we chatted for a while, After we hung up, I headed to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

I took a long, hot shower and put on my pajamas.

After getting cleaned up, I went to Zamo's room to let her know that dinner was ready. We both headed to the kitchen and dished up our plates. We ate dinner together,with her telling me her unending stories. After dinner, we watched cartoons and ate ice cream. Zamo fell asleep on the couch around 8:00, so I carried her to her bedroom and tucked her in. I headed to my own room and got ready for bed.

I found myself wondering why Zibusiso hadn't called to check up on me, but then I realized that he was probably busy working. Maybe he just forgot, I thought to myself.

ZIBUSISO

The hospital was extremely busy today, and I barely had a moment to myself. I was worried about Suku, but I couldn't get away from my duties. I managed to call my sister and ask her to check on Suku and take her to a private doctor, and she agreed. I was relieved to know that she was in good hands. Finally, I headed to the call room to get some much-needed rest before my next shift. I collapsed onto the bed, exhausted from the long day.

I couldn't stop thinking about Suku, wondering if she was asleep or what she was doing. I really wanted to check up on her, I grab my phone. I don't know whether calling her will disturb her sleep.

I dial her number anyways.

She picks up immediately.

Me:"Seems like you have been anticipating my call I see."

Her: "Not at all,I was waiting for my sleep

Mr"

Me: "how are you?".

Her:" I'm fine I guess. Thanks to your sister who kept my mind away for sometime"

I smile,I know Noma was talking nonestop with her big mouth .

Me: "I'm sorry I had a busy day today,I could call or come see you so I had to send Noma"

Her: "its okay,you dont have to apologise or explain yourself .I know you are v busy"

Me: "I wish I could just skip my shift and come be with you there,I wanna hold you all night and just protect you."

Her: "I'm fine Zibusiso . I'll try to sleep. I'm tired. "

Me: "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow okay?"

Her: "okay"

Me: "Ngiyakthanda."I say on purpose ,I hear her chuckling

Her:"Okay"I chuckle

Me:"That's how you answer someone who tells you they love you?"I ask she keeps quiet"Sukoluhle"

Her:"mhhh"

Me:"I said Ngiyakthanda "

Her: "Nami ngiyakthanda "

Me: "Ulalekahle yezwa"

I hang up. I feel better hearing her voice,she sound better but,I'm so worried about her,I know She is pretending to be strong. How do I make her forget the misery she went through?

It's already morning,I'm with my friends, Andile and Mongezi, as we sat around a table with cups of coffee.

Mongezi: "And I still don't understand what happened. I'm so worried about Suku."Mongezi says

Andile:"It doesn't make any sense," Andile replies , his brow furrowed. "If there were two men, why did only one of them attack Suku? Where was the other one?"

I nodded in agreement.

Me: "And why did they do it? What could they possibly gain from hurting her?"

We sat there trying to make sense of it all, but the pieces just didn't fit together. After a while, Mongezi broke the silence.

Mongezi:"Maybe there's something we're missing," he said. "What if the other man was in on it too, but he ran away when things went wrong?"

Me:"That's possible," I said, my mind racing. "But why would they want to hurt Suku in the first place? She's never done anything to anyone."

Andile:"Maybe it wasn't personal," Andile said. "Maybe they were just looking for someone to attack, and she was in the wrong place at the wrong time."

That thought sent a chill through me. I need to start working on finding the people responsible for this.

Me:"We need to find tjose bastards" I say. "

Mongezi:"Do you think we'll be able to find them?" Mongezi asks, his voice tinged with doubt.

Me:"We have to try," I say, my determination hardening. "We can't just let this go."

Me:"Maybe it's time to call in some help," I say, feeling a sense of resolve. "This is bigger than just us. We need to find the people who did this."I stood up from the table and stretched my arms above my head. "I'm going to take a shower and get some rest,I need to feel refreshed "

I said goodbye to my friends and headed out the door. I got into my car and drove home, my mind racing with thoughts of Suku and what we could do to...
