Deadly obsession ,Chapter 7

ZIBUSISO

It was a late Saturday evening. I had tucked Zamo into bed after she fell asleep on my lap. I went back downstairs to join my friends, who were watching a match on TV. I kept glancing at my watch, checking the time. It was now 9:30 PM, and Suku still hadn't come back from her friend's house party. She had said she wouldn't stay late, but she hadn't returned yet.

My phone rang. I picked it up.

Me:"What's up with the call so late, KB?" I ask.

Him:"Don't ask questions, just get your *** over here," he says before hanging up.

I looked at Andile, who was sitting next to me.

Andile:"What's up?" he asks, sensing my concern.

Me:"KB called and told me to get over to the club, but he wouldn't say why," I say. "I'm worried something's wrong."

Andile :"Maybe it's just something with the club," Andile says, trying to be reassuring.

Me: "We should go find out."

We all got up and locked the doo and headed for the car. I was still worried as we drove to the club, but I tried to stay positive .

The drive seemed to take forever, but we finally arrived at the club. We walked inside, and I spotted KB right away. We greeted each other, and he told us to turn around and look. I couldn't believe what I saw.

Andile :"Isn't that Suku?" Andile asks.

Me"It is," I say, nodding. "But she said she was going to a party, not a club." I watched her dance, and it was clear that she was way out of control. She was twerking like one of those movie characters who lose their inhibitions after a wild night out. It was a side of her I'd never seen before. I was both shocked and concerned.

She is with a group of people who looks like her classmates, and most of them are boys. I didn't like the way they were looking at her, or how they were touching her. I feel myself getting angry, and I see her friend from last time trying to stop her, but Suku isn't listening.

I made my way over to where Suku and her friends were, and I picked her up like a sack of potatoes. I told Andile to take her friend with him, and I carried Suku out to the car. She struggled and tried to get me to put her down, but I was determined to get her out of there.

I put her in the passenger seat and got in the driver's seat. I started the car and headed back to the house. The whole way there, she was trying to talk to me, but I just ignored her. I wanted to get her home and make sure she was okay.

When we got to the house, I carried her inside and set her down on the couch. I turned to Andile who was with Suku's friend , who were standing in the doorway.

Me:"What happened?" I asked.

Andile :"I'm not sure," Andile said and turn to Lubanzi ,he looks frighten .

Lubanzi : "We were all just hanging out, and then Suku started acting weird. She was acting really out of it, and I was worried about her. I tried to get her to calm down, but she wouldn't listen."

I turned to Suku, who was still sitting on the couch.

Me:"Suku," I call out"are you okay? What's going on?"

She looked at me, her eyes unfocused.

Suku:"I'm fine," she says, but her voice was slurred and she didn't sound fine at all. "I just had too much to drink. It's no big deal."

I didn't believe her. Something wasn't right, and I was starting to get really worried.

Me: "Are you sure?" I asked. "You don't seem fine to me. What's going on?"

She looked away, avoiding my eyes.

Suku: "Nothing," she said. "I'm fine.I just need to go to bed. I'm really tired."

I wasn't buying it. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew that something was definitely wrong.

I carried her to my bedroom, and then to the bathroom. I turned on the cold water in the shower and made her stand under it. She yelped and jumped, trying to get away, but I held her firmly. After a few minutes, she started to calm down and her eyes were focused again.

Me:"What were you doing at the club, Suku?" I asked, as she dried herself off.

Suku:"I'm...I'm sorry," she stammered.

Me:"I didn't ask for an apology," I said. "You told me you were going to a party. What happened?"

Suku:"I did," she says. "But...things got out of hand. I'm sorry for worrying you."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

Me: "Sorry?" I say, incredulous. "Do you realize what you were doing? You were doing disgusting things there!" I shouted.

She flinched at my tone, looking up at me with wide eyes.

Suku: "I know," she said. "I'm so embarrassed. I just...I don't know what happened. I wasn't thinking straight."

Me:"Of course you wouldn't be thinking straight," I say. "You were drunk, Suku."

She started crying.

Suku:"I'm so sorry," she sobbed.

Me:"Wipe your tears, before I give you a reason to cry," I said, my voice firm.

She quickly wiped away her tears.

Suku: "I'm sorry," she said. "It won't happen again."

Me:"It won't," I said. "Because you won't be going to any more parties, and you won't be going out with your friends either. I mean it."

Suku:"You can't be serious!" she said, staring at me in disbelief. "You can't just tell me what to do and not to do. I'm not a child!"

I looked at her.

Me: "I'm not trying to treat you like a child," I said. "But I'm worried about you. You've been making some bad choices lately, and I'm not going to just sit by and watch you make more of them. I'm going to try to help you, whether you like it or not."

She crossed her arms, still looking angry.

Suku:"I don't need your help," she says

Me:"Really?" I ask. "Even if something bad happens to you? You wouldn't need my help?"

She nodded.

Suku:"I won't," she says. "I can take care of myself. You don't need to act like my father, Zibusiso. Just let me be, okay?"

She got up and left the room. I sighed, feeling both frustrated and worried. I just wanted to help her, but it seemed like she didn't want my help.....

ANDILE

I am at a loss. This kid is crying here, but I have no idea why,is it the alcohol? Is something else wrong? I feel so out of my depth. What am I suppose to do, I felt like I am totally failing at this. The kid continues to cry, and I feel more and more helpless. I don't know what to say or do. Should I just leave them him here? Or try to comfort him? I feel like I am way over my head.

Him:"Please don't scold me, Mr.," the kid pleaded. "We didn't mean to do that, okay? We just wanted to have fun and enjoy ourselves. That's all."

I bit my tongue to keep from laughing out loud. He looked so earnest, and a little bit adorable. But I knew I had to be serious about this.

Me: "I'm not going to scold you," I say. " "But next time you should say if you want to go to such places ,its dangerous for you to be all alone I'm the clubs"I say he nod

Him: "I promise next time we will inform you,I'm sorry you can punish me if you want but don't scold me"he says still crying ,I smirk

Me:"You want to be punished?" I ask, walking over to where the kid was standing.

He looked at me, a little bit afraid.

Him: "I...I don't know," he said, his voice shaking. "I just want you to be happy with me."

I felt a surge of affection for this kid, who was clearly trying his best to make things right.

Me:"You don't have to be punished," I say, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I just want you to be safe. Can you promise me you'll be more careful next time?"

He nodded,

I lift up his chin so he can look me in the eye,he looks cute ,his face looks smooth and has a baby face.I look at him in the eyes and slowly my eyes land on his pink lips.I slowly lean closer and my lips touched his,I kiss him for a moment he froze but I kept kissing him until until I feel him kissing me back.

I pull out and look at him,his eyes are now small red,I smirk and captured his lips and whisper to his ear

"Are you okay?"he nods I smirk and capture his lips again. This time I pick him up and walk up to my room.
