Chapter 43

Elsewhere.

“Tell me everything.”

“Boss Jack is going rogue . He's planning an attack on the girl . He wants her dead.  ”

*There's silence for what seems to be a while.*

“Wait. What about the boy?”

“He was sent to do the job . I think he's fallen in love with the gurl.”

*He tightens his fist on the table upon hearing that .*

“He'll weaken her . All my years of hard work will go down the drain.  I had to watch her grow from a distant . Love is not a fairytale it's a nightmare, and I'll be dawned if I let him be her downfall.”

“He seems to have fallen for her boss.  Maybe this one will not be like yours.”

*He raises his hand, preventing him from talking any further.*

“We'll remain in the shadows . The rest of her team is continuing with the missions . She's getting more and more comfortable . She's growing to actually love people . I can not let that happen.”

“But boss...”

“Deal with them .”

“As you wish,”

*He sighs, sitting back down .*

“Everyone is better alone . That way, fewer weaknesses.  No fear of being abandoned and no one to break your heart. It will be fine this way. What you don't know will never harm you . Together, we'll rule this world. Wait a little longer.”

Jade 

*I'm super uncomfortable.  I feel like there's someone hovering over me . I can literally feel the daggers of eyes staring at me . I slowly open my eyes and smile upon seeing Leon.*

Jade : Don't do that.  When did you get here? 

Leon : Good afternoon to you, too.  I just got here but couldn't bring myself to wake you up . You looked so innocent and cute.

*I giggle as he's showering me with kisses. I need my energy, but he's kissing me so well and awakening some moist parts of my body.*
