Chapter 37 

*Elsewhere. Unknown location .*

*He's watching her every move . Waiting eagerly to strike . She'll be sending the items he sent her to collect exactly at midnight . Always punctual. She's exactly what she wanted her to be . Hard-core monster . She kills without any mercy . I'm not sure about this Leon guy that she's around with a lot lately, but I'm keeping tags on him, too. A knock comes through, and the person lets himself in .*

“Boss”

"Talk." 

“She did it again.  The punk is dead, but this time, someone else killed him. There was a turn in events. She recognized Mikaelson and stabbed him . Brutally. He has marks all over. I managed to get him away from there as soon as I could.  Nothing is tracing anything back to us or her . He's sedated and sleeping in his house.”

*He nods and blows smoke out of his lips . He puts the cigar in his hand aside and smiles wickedly.*

“Everything is going according to plan.  Keep a close eye on the boy . He's getting too close for comfort . She'll have a weakness, and we don't want that .”

“Yes, boss.”

*He gestures with his hand, and he nods and gets out, closing the door behind him.*

Jade 

*I can't seem to get my mind off of what had happened yesterday.  I still have the bloody handkerchief that is covered with his blood, but there was nothing that screamed his appearance there.  No one seems to have seen him or anything.  Maybe I'm being a little paranoid, but the bloody handkerchief?*

Kim : What are you thinking about? 

*I quickly snap out of it and focus my attention on  her.*

Jade : Nothing . What do you want ? 

Kim : I'm leaving sojist came to say goodbye. 

Jade : Byee, I'll see you tomorrow? 

Kim : Definitely. When is the next mission? 

Jade : Soon . I'll tell you about it as soon as he sends it .

Kim : Who sends them anyway? 

Jade : An enemy of my enemy is a friend . Never met him physically, but we hate the same person, so why not ? 

*She shruggs and nods, hugging me, then leaves . My door opens again a few moments later, and I roll my eyes before smiling at Leon.*

Leon : Why are you moody? 

Jade : Nothing much, just business . What are you here at .

*Looks at my watch.*

Jade : This time . It's almost midnight.

Leon : Can't sleep, and Kim let me in . Come, we're leaving . 

Jade : Where are we going? 

Leon : My house . Can't seem to be able to sleep without you. 

*He says, getting closer and kissing my lips, and I feel my knees getting weak .*

Jade : Urgh, fine, let me pack an overnight back first. 

Leon : Let's go .
