Prologue

Jade

*I'm sitting in my office and giving one last look at my chosen partners in crime . I have been following their every move for the past year . No one knows about them except for me . I prefer doing things myself . I trust no one. 3 members are enough. I'm really not a fan of many people. Today, I'm collecting them and offering them a partnership . The first stop is at Kim . She's very good at martial arts. She has daddy issues and is filled with anger inside of her . Living your entire life being bullied by a man you called a father must be heartbreaking to the extent of throwing him over from the roof and watching him scream for help and smile at her victory. She's perfect for me . I get up from my chair with her all their details and drive to her apartment . I'm a huge fan of the color black and red, so I'm wearing a black tight dress . It's tight and revealing my entire body shape. I close my office, and it locks . I make my way downstairs, not greeting anyone . I don't befriend my workers they'll think I'm their friend . I get inside my black Range Rover . She's not home but will be there in a few minutes . I let myself in and close the door. I hate waiting . I hear her footsteps getting near, and she opens the door. I'm in the darkness, and I see her, but she can't see me. She's looking around . Good , she has good instincts.*

Kim: "Identify yourself. Now."

*Bad . Bad , bad, and bad. I have to teach her how to act when she thinks there's someone in her house . I switch on the light, and she's shocked to see me but tries her best to give me a straight face.*

Kim: "Get out of my home before I remove you myself."

Jade: "Depends what you need me to be."

Kim: "What do you want?"

Jade: "Your father's estate is frozen. The police have a witness."

Kim: "What's the catch?"

Jade: "Partnership. I provide new identity and funding, you provide... specialized skills."

*She's looking everywhere, but me.*

Kim: "Will I get paid?"

*I smile, turning to look at her.*

Jade: "You'll be living with me and getting monthly payments . A certain percentage of every item shoplifted."

Kim: "Fine, let's do it."

*Good . I like her already.*

Jade: "Let's go."

Kim: "My things?"

Jade: "Leave them, and we'll get you new things on the way."

*She nods, and I leave her to say goodbye to the walls and head for my car. A few seconds later, she gets in. Next stop, Tim . The computer genius . Also an orphan and lives through people's credit cards. I need him. He's in the middle of a heist right now in a restaurant. We make our way in and dit nect to him . He darts his eyes, looking at the both of us, and closes his laptop. Very calm. Good.*

Tim: "How can I help you."

Kim: "I'm ordering."

*She says, calling the waiter. I just shake my head, focusing on Tim.*

Jade: "Your firewall has three vulnerabilities. I'm building a team that doesn't make mistakes."

Tim: "My work is clean."

Jade: "The man you're hacking right now employs the consultant who wrote your tracking algorithm."

Tim: "At what expense?"

Jade: "You'll be behind the scene of our work . The security and everything you'll be our guy."

*He gives me a thought while darting his eyes from me to the foodie . She's helping herself to everything. Breathe.*

Tim: "Cool, I'm in."

*I smile and get up.*

Jade: "Leave what you are doing now and follow me . The police will come and raid this place now because the man you're trying to swindle right now is also on top of you."

*He keeps a black face . Amazing !! He stands up and puts his things inside . The guy stands up looking at him but can't say anything. We all get inside my car after I pay the bill, and I drive out just then the cops come.*

Tim: "Thanks."

Kim: "You're good. Hey you, I'm Kim."

Tim: "Tim."

*I love his mood. My kinda guy. Next stop, Jerry . The master of disguise . Best shoplifter in the game . Here he is in a mall obviously to do what his good at.*

Tim: "Why are we here?"

Kim: "You can stay in here it's no biggie."

*He nods, and we get out . She follows me while I go straight.*

Kim: "I thought he was a guy."

Jade: "He is."

*He's in disguise and pretending to be pregnant while stashing items inside his belly.*

Jade: "Let's wait for him here."

*She nods, and we watch him after his all done . He makes his way out and in the door . There's a beep, and the guards come closer.*

Kim: "You just going to look at him or her?"

Jade: "Just watch."

*Suddenly, there was a liquid coming down of him . A lot of liquid. He starts screaming, and I smile proud.*

Jade: "Now we get in."

*We get up and hurry to him.*

Kim: "Everyone give her space she's giving birth."

Jade: "Breathe in and out slowly calm down and breathe."

*I say directing him . He looks relieved and shocked and is also a little confused.*

Jade: "We're doctors, please move and let us do our work."

*Everyone moves, and we help her out while there's still fluid coming out . They let us out until we reach my car and get him in.*

Jerry: "Fuck thank you so much."

Kim: "You're good though?"

Jerry: "Amazing"

Kim: "I'll do the talking now."

*She's going to be a pain in the ass.*

Kim: "So we're all a team, and we'd like you to join us."

Jerry: "I'm in!"

Kim: "I'm not even done explaining yet, but anyway, great welcome to the team."

Jerry: "So what are we called?"

*They all look at me.*

Jade: "I haven't given that a thought yet . We'll discuss it later. I'm taking you to your house now."
