Chapter 49

Jade

*He's staring at me with a lot of emotions visible in his eyes, but I can't seem to be sure which is which.*

Jack : Son.

*And just like that, he rounds up and goes to stand next to his father. To say I'm shocked is an understatement . I seem to have lost the ability to talk.*

Jade : Leon

*It comes out lower than expected, almost like I'm whispering. He's avoiding eye contact.*

Jack: Amazing, isn't it.

*Jack says slowly, making his way around his table and coming towards me with a cup of whisky in his hand.*

Jack: You thought you won, didn't you ? Funny how children think the world revolves around them.

*He says, standing right in front of me . My eyes are focused on a rather absent-minded Leon. I can't seem to wrap my head around why he's here.*

Jack : Lost your voice now. Son, should I tell her, or you will?

*He says, taking a few steps towards Leon. There's silence for a minute, and he finally shoots his eyes at me slowly. His face is blank, or maybe my brain is playing games with me. He moves closer to me after taking the cup in his father's eyes and gulping it down in one go.*

Leon : My black rose

*My heart! I'm staring right in his eyes. Forcing myself not to break down and cry in front of him. I would never let them break me.*

Leon : You are so smart and extremely beautiful and hot, but you know what they say.

*He says, stepping closer and attempting to touch my cheek. I quickly hit his hand away and slowly move towards the glass window.*

Leon : As I was saying . Blood is thicker than water.

Jack : Unfortunately for you , you won't get it . You lost your blood. This was all part of the plan. I knew you were coming for me since the beginning of your stupid stunts and sent my dear son your way. And everything went according to plan. You thought everything just happened because of fate. Bitch no. I always win. I killed your parents, and now I will kill you.

Jade : Leon.

*I refuse to believe I let this happen. How can I let my stupid heart take control like this. I failed my parents I failed everyone . Kim, Tim and Jerry . How will I keep them safe and protected now. My tears fall involuntarily, and for a moment, I see some sort of emotion flashing across his eyes but it quickly disappears and becomes blank again. I quickly wipe my tear and strengthen my posture.*

Jack : Gun .

*He says to Leon who gladly gives it to him*

Leon : Sweetheart. No hard feelings, okay? I'll meet you on the other side.

Jade : Jack when you shoot me, make sure you kill me because if you miss, I will finish you.

*He loads his gun and aims straight for my head. I don't move. I watch him straight inside his eyes, daring him.*

Jade : Oh, and Leon . I will never forgive you for this.

*I say looking deep in his eyes meaning every word.*

Jack: I never miss

*He says and before he even fires the shot I shoot his leg and he groans in pain.*

Jade : I will never die without fighting.

*The gun falls beside him and Leon attempts to take it when I shoot his shoulder and he also groans holding the wound.*

*GUNSHOT!*

*For a moment everything stills down as I stumble backwards until I feel myself breaking the window and falling all the way down. Everything feels like it's in slow motion. I tap my pocket and grab a granite. Quickly activate it. I'm taking the mikaelsons to hell with. I throw the bomb with the little power I have left and the entire building comes crashing down and I crash town and excruciating pain shoots up all over my body and it's lights out for me.*
