Chapter 42

Leon 

*Jake makes himself comfortable and relaxes.*

Jake : So why am I here ? 

Leon : First of all, stop gawking at my receptionist. You're making her feel uncomfortable.  

Jake : She's cute but fine. I'll stop. I don't need any women drama anyway. I read your text the fuck? 

Leon : He's serious . He's forcing my hand . 

Jake : Don't you think it's time ? 

*I look up to him and shake my head slowly.  No, it can't be . She'll no .*

Jake : You have to . 

Leon : No, I refuse. She can never find out . She'll never forgive me . She'll never trust me ever again . I'll lose  the only person who actually brightens up my dark life and gives color to my world. My heart in human form . She'll doubt everything . She'll think .

Jake : That all of it was a lie ? tainted from the start? Betrayal? Heart broken ? 

Leon : This would break her beyond repair, and it would all be my fault . 

Jake : If you don't tell her yourself and she finds out herself . It'll be worse than betrayal.  

Leon : My family . 

Jake :  Maybe if you be honest about it and tell her . We'd finally find them with her help . 

*He stands up*

Jake : Look, think about it . Your father has gone rogue . This is war, and we need all the allies we can get . He knows you've fallen for her and might use her to get to you . 

Leon : More weaknesses.  

Jake : This one could actually be more of your strength .  Stop underestimating her . 

*And with that, he leaves and closes the door behind him, not sparing one dlare at my receptionist.  One thing about him is that he is not the type to joke around . If he thinks this is the only way we get to actually survive this, then I have no choice but to comply with him. I let out a huge sigh before grabbing my phone and texting Jade that we need to talk.  Grab my car keys and  head home for a quick shower before taking the biggest decision of my life.*

Jade 

*I've been trying to crack a way to get into that house without raising suspicions the whole night . Finally, I've managed to crack it.  The door bursts open, and I raise my head to see Tim looking as exhausted as I am .*

Jade & Tim : The cameras!!!

Jade : How did we not think of that? 

Tim : Well, at first, I thought of finding a way to enter the premises .

Jade : Wait , we're you here the whole night, too? 

Tim : Yep, anything for my boss lady. 

*I just smiled fondly and stood up to give him a quick hug.*

Tim : Mh, boss lady, is getting softer ? 

Jade : Don't push it. Thank you, though. Continue

Tim : I know I'm your favorite . So, at first, I tried looking at all her platforms and places we could possibly get to communicate with, but that didn't work much. Everything around her is on lockdown.  It's impossible to get anything in or out . She's never been out of the premises for as long as she's been there . 

Jade : More like lockdown . Do you think he's hiding the kid? Do you think he kidnapped his own daughter? 

*He shruggs . This is worse than I thought.*

Jade : I have to tell Leon about this.  Where's my phone? 

*I ask, heading back for my desk. Fuck it's off.*

Jade : It's off . I'll charge and call him over . For now let's rest and we'll hack the cameras later ok? 

Tim : Yep . See you later . 

Jade : Sweet dreams Tim.

*I say, and he smiles, heading upstairs to his room . Kim and Jerry probably left to handle the next mission since we're both cooped up in making this one our own.  I wonder if Leon knows where her sister is.  I really have to tell him and charge my phone ! I make my way to my room and take a quick bath after charging my phone . I'm super exhausted. I'll text him when I wake up.*
