Eight hours later, she's finally home. The tyres of the Haval crunch softly against the gravel as Amanda pulls into the familiar driveway. Mabutho insisted she take the car—"It's safer, Mama. And you need time to think." And he was right. She didn't want a flight. She needed the stretch of endless road, the silence, the space to breathe before facing the storm she knew was waiting for her here.
