NARRATOR.
Amanda watches Mabutho as he walks into the dining room — clean, sharp, smelling of cologne and fresh soap. Black jeans hugging him just right, a white golf t-shirt, white cap, and those signature Bhinca sandals. The man looks like he just stepped out of a Zulu fashion magazine.
She's still staring when he looks around the room, frowning. The kitchen is silent — no smell of food, no sound of pots. Nothing.
"Asidli namhlanje?" (Aren't we eating today?) he asks, sounding slightly shocked.
