UNGENO: MY SISTER’S HUSBAND

CHAPTER 34

NARRATOR.

Mabutho — with the shaky, panicked help of his weak wife — finally managed to wipe off the mess Amanda created. Her dress is still dirty, stained in a way that tells the whole story without words, but she insisted they would buy another one on the way. So now they're on the road to KwaDlangezwa, tense, silent, and exhausted from the chaos of the morning.

Meanwhile, Qhawe and Ncanezwe are about 30 minutes away from Nhlokwemamba's house.
Ncanezwe has been… well, Ncanezwe — dramatic, restless, breathing heavily, panicking every five minutes — and that left Qhawe with no choice but to buy him something strong at the fuel garage to calm him down. Now Ncanezwe is knocked out, sleeping like a child on the passenger seat. Qhawe dials his brother, Mabutho.
