CHAPTER 65

SNEAKY LINK

#65

Endy walked inside her house feeling like the walls were closing in on her. Once again she is the fool inlove. She should've stayed away from men.

This never gets old and she thought she was immune to heartbreak after so many of them the past years of her life.

"Guess I'm not immune after all."

She said to herself pouring a glass of wine. The front door opened and she chuckled seeing Sandile walk in.

"I've been looking for you. Babe look I swear I didn't propose to her. I bought that ring a few months back. I had told myself I will propose to you but I always got cold feet and it didn't help that you never talked about marriage until that day I asked you to marry me. My mistake was leaving it at my house. She found it and made it seem like I proposed to her. You can check the time of the post. I was still here with you. I swear baby please believe me."

"Believe you how when that post is still up there."

Sandile sat down calling Zikho. He was getting angry with each ring on her phone.

"Babe."

"Sundidika Zikho didn't I say take that thing off facebook?"

"You did but I'm not doing that. We're getting married S..."

"Nx."

He dropped the call and logged in on facebook there were so many messages on his inbox. He untagged himself from the post.

"Babe I don't know what to do she's not taking it down."

"I don't care what you do and don't do but I want you out of my house."

"Babe please you know I love you. I'll fix it it's fine."

He got up and walked to her kissing her forehead.

"I love you. Only you baby. "

...............

Zikho looked at the ring on her finger as her tears blinded her making the stone appear blurry. Why did she always have to lose the man in her life.

"God why do I always have to be the one left broken? Why do I get to experience love only to take it away from me in such a cruel manner? I gave him a child and what did I get in return? Heartbreak. Why?"

She balled her eyes out feeling like she was dying. Her chest burned as she wailed looking at her crying daughter.

The front door opened and Sandile walked in rushing to his daughter. He took her shushing her but she just didn't stop crying.

He changed her diaper and went to the kitchen to make something for her to eat along with a bottle. She ate up gombling everything down.

He rubbed her back making her burp before taking her upstairs leaving Zikho seating on the couch in the lounge.

He packed a few of her things and some of his in a suitcase. Zikho walked in and looked at him packing.

"What are you doing?"

"Packing."

"That's my daughter Sandile you're not going to take her to play happy family with that who..."

"Finish that sentence Zikho. Finish it!!!"

He roared at her making her flinch hitting her back on the door. She had never seen him like that. It made her cry even more.

"And I'm taking her to my mother andithi you can't take care of my daughter? Mama will on your behalf."

He wheeled the suitcase down with his daughter tucked in his chest. He put the suitcase at the back and got in the front seat driving away.He called Endy driving towards his home.

"I don't want to talk to you."

"I know and I'm still sorry baby. Look I'm going home I'm taking Lunathi to my mother Zikho is totally neglecting her."

"Okay. I want to sleep."

"I love you."

"Good for you."

He chuckled dropping the call. He drove along the road.

Meanwhile Zikho sat by the front door as the gate opened and her sisters car drove in. She looked at the gun between her thighs.

Zikhona walked out of the car coming to her running. She halted on her steps as Zikho drew out the gun pointing it at her.
