CHAPTER 5
SNEAKY LINK#5
Nobantu wrapped the doek around her head and smiled looking at herself in the mirror. Being a wife suited her. If her mother was here she'd be so proud of her.
Although she didn't finish school at least she bagged herself a working man. The door opened to his room and in walked his aunts.
They smiled at her they didn't even understand what Mandilakhe saw in her but then they say love is blind who are they to judge?
"Okay let's go your husband just arrived."
"You look beautiful."
"Thank you mma."
They all walked out going to the big rondavel. She sat behind the door in a grass mat as everyone walked inside the room.
Meanwhile Mandilakhe looked at his phone smiling whilst chatting with Endy. His brother walked up to him.
"Dude they're waiting for you."
"Okay did you get the sneakers for Sweli?"
"Yeah he said thanks. You spoil that kid too much."
"I can mfethu and he's my only nephew."
"You're a married man now make sure you give her kids every year."
"Ohh trust me I will. I want five."
"You're still stuck on that number?"
"And it's not going to change not anytime soon anyways."
.........
Later that day Nobantu and Mandilakhe walked inside Mandilakhe's new house. Nobantu smiled the house was beautiful it just needed her touch here and there.
Mandilakhe went to put their bags in the main bedroom and walked back downstairs.
"Don't cook I'll get takeaways. Familiarize yourself with the house I'll be right back okay."
"Okay don't take long."
"I won't."
He kissed her cheeks and walked outside getting into his car and drove off calling Endy.
''babe."
"Hey I'm on my way."
"Okay. I'm almost done here. I thought you were coming back tomorrow."
"I changed my mind I couldn't sleep without seeing you baby."
"Stop being smart with me Mr."
"I'm coming."
He dropped the call driving through the traffic smiling to himself. He was going to pull this off.
Meanwhile at the garage Endy's phone rang. She answered it without checking.
"That was fast. You're here already?"
"Mholo Endy."
"Ohh hi sorry thought you were someone else."
"It's fine. I have an offer for you but I wanted us to talk about it face to face."
"Okay I'm off tomorrow we can meet then."
"Did your sister tell you she's already hired?"
"No she was probably going to tell me later today."
"Okay then. See you soon."
"Soon."
He dropped the call as she finished up. She got up and got her staff just as her phone rang. She smiled answering him.
"I'm coming baby."
She said walking out. A colleague of hers smiles looking at her.
"Chomi ndicela ukuhlamba ngaphantsi kwakho. God your man is such a dream."
"You'll get yours one day don't worry."
"I hope it's soon I'm so tired of kissing frogs."
Endy laughed walking out. Mandilakhe watched as she walked to the car. She always looked good even without making much effort.
And the fact that she didn't even wear make up was a bonus. He sighed hee should've just taken her as his wife.
Yes she wasn't everything his mother wanted but he wanted her just the way she is. Challenging and sweet. She had that innocence in her but she was still as badass as ever.
"You look beautiful."
"Thank you. I'm so tired."
"I'm taking you out to dinner. Here are your flip flops."
"Thank you baby. Where are we going?"
"Anywhere you want."
"There's a new restaurant in town let's go there."
