Chapter 22

I was so in a happy place, some form of utopia for what my life was becoming. Jama was supportive and my pregnancy was serving me more joy than exhaustion.

I sat at the balcony, merry as can be, drinking sunrise…thinking of all our recent plans. Jama had promised to buy me another car, one that's baby safe and convenient. He was stressed sometimes but that didn't stop him from considering us in everything.

I had salty crackers the moment I started to feel nauseous. At thirteen weeks I still felt as light as a feather. Our little one was growing so fast and healthy. I made sure to speak life onto him every second of the day. I spoke to him all the time and had already begun reading him baby stories. My baby was a huge part of my life. I was becoming something tender coz he was.
