Chapter 10

The dawn was delight. I didn't need an alarm to remind me of my long-awaited occasion. It was now.

The clamour of cheer warmed my home. It was truly hearty. We had make-up to worry about more than anything. Gontse had a sleepover at my place, and we got to cuddle as we always did at res. We spent our evening reminiscing about the good old days when we would spend our evenings planning days like this one.

Dad was the merriest of us all. The joy was all written on his face. He was smiling with his whole heart and that brought nothing but bliss to mine too. He was proud of me and really, he had worked so hard to raise my sister and I to be kind humans and spoilt women and I felt I had outdone myself proving his work was successful.
