Chapter 30

Jade

*It's been a month in a relationship with Dante, and I don't wanna lie. I've fallen head over heels with him . I have been pretty close with Alex ever since he came to my place. Today, he's coming over with Dante and Drake while I'll be hosting them and the girls . The girls are Isa and Ella . Ella finally stopped running and faced her parents . Well, she couldn't face them physically or look em in their eyes and tell them that she's not a virgin, so she audio called them and they talked . Actually, she texted her mom , and she muted her response, and I forced her to answer her calls, but all in all, everything is currently going well for everyone. Yesterday I was with Dante having which he cooked when all out the purple he got a text message and got tense then everything got weird and he had to leave . I hope everything is okay with him, though. I'm busy preparing for the dinner, and Ella is with me while Isa is at work . She'll be coming with Dante.*

Ella : So you've been glowing .

Jade : I'm happy .

Ella : I see that, and I feel so happy for you .

Jade : Something happened yesterday.

*I start narrating everything that took place yesterday.*

Ella : Maybe you're just being insecure . He doesn't seem like the type.

Jade : Mh, maybe you're right. I should just trust him .

Ella : Yeah, but you should ask him too . Communication is key .

Jade : You're probably right. Anyway, they must be on their way soon. Let's go, clean ourselves up.

Ella : I'm taking something in your closet, though.

Jade : Fine, I'm heading for yours.

*We both part ways, and I strip heading for her shower while singing along to Freaky Friday by Chris Brown . Don't judge me it's still a jam . As soon as I'm done, I opt out for a black shot dress with little cuts that show pieces and pieces of my skin but hiding the private parts, though. It screams club night out with girls, but why not? I don't mind giving it to my man tonight. I put on my full-blown Brazilian long ass weave. I'm not even sure what inch this is maybe a 40 becoz damn it's long. I'm not even sure if there is a 40, but who cares . I snap a few snaps and send them to him with a pink bow tie imoji. He views but doesn't reply.*

Jade : Mh , maybe he's busy .

*I say and brush the thought to the back of my brain. A few minutes later, they've arrived, and everyone's sitted in their rightful place.*

Jade : I'd like to introduce everyone to the other .

Drake : Everyone knows me .

*Isa nudges him with an elbow, and he releases a grunt.*

Alex : I like you for him

*Alex says the fixes his glasses, looking back at me . Ella is smiling so hard that I'm sure her cheeks are burning with all that smiling. She's even turned pink.*

Alex : Please continue. Drake, it's rude to disturb someone from talking.

Isabella : Thank you .

Drake : Fine , fine. I'm sorry .

*All this time , Dante has been quiet*

Jade : Ella, this is Drake and Alex. You've already met Dante. Guys, this is Ella, my little sister and best friend.

Alex : Nice to meet you, Ella .

*He says fixing his glasses up .*

Ella : Nice to meet you too, Alex .

*They both stare at each other for what feels like a minute, and Emma breaks the eye contact and plays with her food.*

Dante : Excuse me .

*He says, standing up and leaving. I don't know what is going on with him, and it's starting to make me feel some sort of way. I gulp down my glass of champagne and continue with the conversation. Alex is explaining something to do with hygiene and animals.*

Drake : I still think fishes are weird.

Isabella : Of course you would.

Ella: I get it , but I never thought of it that way . It's very interesting.

Alex : I'll get you a book about them so you can get more information about it .

Ella : Oh, you don't have to .

Alex : I insist .

*All this time, they're both talking to each other as if we're not here. Dante is not back yet. I excuse myself and walk out to look for him.*

Dante : What??

*He's speaking over the phone . He's actually whispering . I don't mean to eavesdrop, but hey, I wouldn't be Jade if I didn't.*

Dante : You can't come over here yet. We'll be right there in a few minutes . You didn't tell me you were coming over.

*He listens*

Dante : Fine . I have to drive Alex home first . You haven't met him yet he's coming over tomorrow.

*He sighs at whatever the person is saying.*

Dante : Fine. Me too .

*He ruffles up his hair , he only does that when he's annoyed and frustrated.*

Dante : I love you too.

*As soon as I hear that, my breath freezes, and I get frozen at the spot. My mind gets all over the place. I hear his footsteps coming, and I move away and get to the first room I find. The minute I get there. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. My mind is working overtime . I'm not sure what to do. I'm frustrated and angry, but I don't have proof of anything. That could've been anyone. His mom , sister, anyone.*

Jade : Calm down .

Emma : Don't overthink it .

*I jump up a little upon seeing Emma . She's been MIA for days now.*

Emma : We're going over there tonight.

Jade : But , he wouldn't do that to me .

Emma : This is your chance to find out . Now clean yourself up . You look like you've seen a ghost.

Jade : Fine .

*I get up and do a few touch-ups on my face. I breathe out, and she gives me a thumbs up, and I smile, heading for the dining room.*

Dante : Where have you been?

Jade : Bathroom , where is everyone ?

Dante : Drake is busy with Isa while Ella is getting one of Alex's lessons, and she actually seems to enjoy them .

Jade : That's good. Um, Dante .

Dante : Why are you calling me by my name?

Jade : Is there anything you want to tell me ?

*His body starts tensing up.*

Dante : No , no , not at all . There's nothing to tell. You know everything about me.

Emma : Son of a monkey .

*I give her a deathstare. Well that monkey must've been a good looking monkey to look like this.*
