miranda: beyond the streetsinsert 45
the scene is set in a beautiful garden at the luxurious forum homini hotel in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg.
I am dressed in a stunning wedding gown , walking down the aisle towards nkanyezi ,who is walking for me at the alter . “dream about you” by Loyiso playing softly in the background .
the guests are seated watching me make my way to the groom . my wedding gown is a masterpiece of lace and silk , with intricate details that sparkle in the sunlight . the fitted, mermaid -style gown hugs my curves in all the right places , and the sweetheart neckline frames my face perfectly. A delicate lace veil cascades down my back adding a touch of romance and whimsy to my overall look .
I finally reached the alter . My husband is looking so handsome in his tailored white suit. His eyes are red , my baby is crying .
the pastor, a kind-face man with a warm smile , greets nkanyezi and I at the alter .
pastor:dearly beloved , we are gathered here today to witness the union of Ms Miranda Martens and Mr Nkanyezi Zungu in holy matrimony . Marriage is a scared institution, one that requires commitment, love and trust . Before I proceed , is there anyone who's against this two getting married ?
We looked at the crowd .
pastor:I guess everything is going our way then , Ms Martens and Mr Zungu , you have come before us today to pledge your love and devotion to each other , in that manner Ms Miranda Martens you may start with your vows .
I smiled looking at my handsome man with his perfect face .
me: Nkanyezi Zungu , you light up my world in ways that I never thought are possible ....You are my sunshine in the darkest of days, my safe haven in the midst of chaos. You make me feel seen, heard, and loved in ways that I never thought possible. You are my best friend, my partner in crime, and my soulmate. I promise to always support your dreams, to be your rock, and to love you with all my heart and soul. I vow to stand by your side through the good times and the bad, through the ups and downs, and through every moment in between. I love you, Nkanyezi Zungu, now and forever.
Nkanyezi's eyes welled up with tears as he listened to my vows. He took a deep breath, composed himself, and began his vows.
Nkanyezi: Miranda Martens, from the moment I met you, I knew that you were someone special. Your beauty, both inside and out, captivated me. Your strength, resilience, and determination inspired me. And your love, kindness, and generosity stole my heart. I promise to always cherish and honor you, to support your dreams, and to be your rock. I vow to love you with all my heart and soul, to stand by your side through every moment, and to make you proud to call me your husband. I love you, Miranda Martens, now and forever.
The pastor smiled, his eyes shining with happiness.
Pastor: And now, by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.
Nkanyezi took my hand, pulled me close, and kissed me softly on the lips. The guests erupted into cheers and applause as we turned to face them, beaming with happiness.
Pastor: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Zungu!
The guests continued to cheer and applaud as we made our way back down the aisle, hand in hand. We were showered with rose petals and confetti as we walked towards our new life together.
