To say I felt embarrassed and ashamed would be an understatement.  I couldn't even muster up the courage to move from behind Nkosana after I was done fixing my dress.

He sighed.

"Unjan ma nawe baba kudala nganigcina." (Hello mom and dad, it's been a while since I last saw you)He began calmly looking at them and I couldn't even see their face, not that I wanted to given the humongous embarrassment I was feeling.
