*INSERT 10*NYAKALLO.
I'm thinking he'll say “got you I was just playing”.
I realize he's not when he gets in bed.
What do his family think I am? I'm not stupid to allow such.
And why would his family want him to take a second wife?
Am I not good for him?
Me: So you're just gonna sleep?
Bokang: What do you want me to say Nyakallo?
It's the way he's annoyed that gets to me, the tone and him calling me with my name.
What do people do in such situations cause I think I'm failing?
Am I not good enough?
Nyakallo: You know what it's okay don't say anything, we'll just keep quite and ignore this. After all my feelings don't matter.
I turn off the side lamp and look the other way.
I was going to sleep in the guest room and leave him in this bed but then I have a guest occupying the room.
Bokang: My parents think I should take a second wife, don't take it wrong because you're failing to give me a heir and they've waited too long.
I want to shout and say who the **** do they think they are but I don't want to seem as disrespectful.
Already he said I'm disrespecting him.
Why do old people like giving people a hard time?
Hell will freeze before I allow another woman in my marriage, I would rather take the way out.
I'm not a fool I know my worth and I definitely know when I'm not needed.
I'm not stupid too, it will rain with hot water before I allow that to happen.
All this because of a grandchild?

I shake my head.
Bokang: They did not say you're barren they only said you're failing, don't change their words.
Mxm that's what they wanted to say I know but they can't, I'm just making things simple for them.
Me: So what did you say when they told you you should take a second wife?
He keeps quiet.
I'm betting with my 6 months salary he did not disagree to all of this nonsense.
Me: I guess your silence tells me the answer to my question.
He sighs.
Bokang: I'm sorry.
Me: Don't be it's your choice anyway, you're not forced to do anything you don't want to do and if you want a second wife then It's fine. Just know I'm not gonna settle for bullshit, also I'm not giving you an ultimatum.
Bokang: What are you saying to me exactly?
Me: I think I was very much clear, there's nothing to break down for you.
Bokang: There you start with being disrespectful.
Ahh.
Me: I didn't know speaking my mind is being disrespectful, so I'm supposed to keep quite if I don't agree with you? You know what let's just sleep I'm tired of always fighting, seems like lately that's all we do and it's tiring to be honest.
He keeps quite turning off the side lamp on his side.
And I'm glad this talk is over.
I hear him sigh, poor guy must be having it hard.
If only he can learn to stand for himself all will be well.
His parents won't stop forcing their way in our marriage if he doesn't put his foot down.
But as for me they can go to hell for all I care.
I'm tired of them nxaa let me sleep.
