CHAPTER 9

*INSERT 9*

NYAKALLO.

When we were done with dinner we both decided to take a quick shower.

Then we came back to set the table.

Right then he arrives looking like he's carrying the whole world on his shoulders.

He pecks my cheek then greets Lesedi before taking a sit next to me at a dinner table.

Me: You don't look okay what's wrong?

Bokang: We'll talk about it after dinner, it's nothing to worry about.

Me: But is it work related?

He shakes his head and by now it has clicked that it's his parents.

His parents can change someone's mood in seconds.

They don't really hold back when they do.

They make sure.

He has been like this before and I know I'm also going to suffer it.

Effects of marrying a zulu man.

They always say culture this culture that.

I do get they follow the way their great parents did.

But then they are over doing it.

I just hope it's not something that is going to tick me off.

Lesedi: I can give you guys space.

She says bringing me out of my thoughts.

Me: Ohh no it's okay lets eat, baby cheer up.

Bokang: I'll be okay.

We dish up and eat while having conversations most about life.

Bokang: This is nice.

Me: Lesedi made it, it's nice neh?

He nods taking a full spoon of the chicken stew.

I let Lesedi go to bed.

I'm sure the poor girl is tired and here I am tiring her even more.

I wash the dishes and Bokang helps me by drying them off.

When we're done we heard to bed.

I wait for him to take his shower since I've already taken mine.

This I want to hear.

He finally comes out wearing his pj pants.

He doesn't sleep naked or with a boxer at least.

Thinking clearly about I married a typical zulu man.

He doesn't even want me sleeping naked.

He says it makes him uncomfortable, he can't turn in the middle of the night and find my *** facing him.

I believe it's very disrespectful to say such to someone if you ask me.

What if I'm comfortable with sleeping naked?

Anyway back to reality.

Me: Tell me.

He sighs sitting on the bed.

Bokang: My family wants me to take a second wife.

This I did not see coming.

What did he just say to me?

I think I did not hear him correctly.
