CHAPTER 1
*INSERT 1*NYAKALLO.
I'm sitting on a sofa watching netflix with a bottle of sweet rose wine and a bowl of popcorns, It's saturday evening, I closed the curtains, switched off the lights and It's dark in here just how I like it. My husband went on a business trip on thursday and he's only coming back on monday, so I thought why not Netflix and chill alone. I don't have friends just people I know.
My phone rings next to me and I answer it after checking the caller ID.
Me: My love I miss you.
Bokang: I miss you too, what are you up to there?
Me: You know the usual when you're not here.
Bokang: Ohh it's saturday today?
Me: Yep, what are you doing there? you're free to talk?
Bokang: I just came from meeting with a client, so yeah I'm free to talk.
Me: How did it go?
Bokang: It went great rato laka, he promised to send his part of story via email, soon I will be working with him and I'll be interviewing him soon, isn't it great? this means more money for us.
I laugh screaming, I'm happy for him, he deserves it, he has been trying to get this man ever since her wife died in a car accident and people believed it was no accident, it was something planned and who would kill David Zondo's wife, the richest man we all know. Other rumors were that he might be involved in his wife's accident. All of this drama was in the newspapers.
So Bokang needs his side of story, it will make him a lot of money and Majoro journalists would be number 1.
Bokang: I promise as soon as I get paid I'm taking you to Durban.
I smile blushing.
Me: I need that, I'm happy for you okay, we have to celebrate.
Bokang: We sure will, how's work?
Me: Nothing much.
I can't say I arrested the most cruel gangster in town, both our jobs don't allow us to discuss what happens at work.
Bokang: Ok will I find you home on monday?
Me: No I'll be at work, I'll be on day shifts for the whole week.
Bokang: Okay I'll call you tomorrow goodnight my love.
Me: Goodnight babe.
I hang up and continue with watching.
