CHAPTER 26

*INSERT 26*

LERATO.

Life and marriege with Zakhele is a bliss, Although my mother is this side visiting us. I can see that Zakhele is tired and bored but he doesn't know how to address the issue because he doesn't want to come across as rude.

I've decided that today I'm going to talk to her myself, we can't be ourselves with her around, we used to **** everywhere and anywhere but now that is not happening.

I wonder what's eating her at her house that she came here to bother and disturb our peace.

Right now she's sitting on the sofa, watching television and eating me and my husband's hard earned money. I sit next to her and take the remote to switch off the television.

Mom: Keng jwale Lerato, ke ntse ke shebelletse? (What is it now Lerato, I’m still watching.)

Me: That's what you know best, finishing my food and depriving us of watching tv.

Mom: What are you saying to me exactly Lerato?

Me: That I think you should give me and my husband some space, One of the reasons why I married Zakhele was to move out of your house, I can't seem to have peace with you here, you're following me around and It's not nice. I thought you would stay two or three days but no It's been over a week now. Don't get me wrong neh I love you and I like having you here but this is too much.

Mom: Mxm I never thought you of all people marriage can change you, I think I made a mistake to believe you're better than your sister.

Me: Right where I wanted you, you're toxic mom and If It was Basetsana in my position you would have said the same thing to her.

Mom: That is nonsense, you forget that I raised you two and this is the thanks I get?

Me: There's no thanks that you're getting here, It's called parenting If you knew one day you would talk like this you should have aborted or even better gave us to your sister.

Mom: Speak for yourself and leave my daughter out of this.

Me: Now that it benefits you she's your daughter?, Mom you seem to forget that the same daughter you're talking about despises you and I believe she has disowned you as a mother.

She keeps quiet for a few seconds, I've hit a nerve here.

Mom: Don't come crying when things take a turn, I'll hate to forget that you're my daughter.

I laugh.

Me: If I'm going down, we both are.

She stands up as fast as a lightning.

Mom: You better keep quiet or else…

She leaves going to pack I believe.

What she just said leaves me shaking.

SBANI.

My wife is coming back in a week, I don't know what awaits me, I Love Basetsana now since I broke her virginity, Yes I agree she doesn't know much about *** but she gives the best out of it. Better than Zizipho.

Or is it because it is still tight?

I have to come up with a plan otherwise I'm screwed.

Right now I'm chilling with my friends at this new restaurant, This is the same restaurant I took Basetsana to.

Bongani: Haibo Sbani sikhuluma nawe ( Sbani we're talking to you.)

Me: Eish majita nithini?( Gents what are you saying.)

Bongani: Uqabanga ini ndonda? (What are you thinking man?)

Me: Zizipho is coming back in a week for good and on the other side I have Basetsana.

Zola: You don't have to give a shit about that Basetsana chick, you have a beautiful wife that you have to think about.

Zola has never liked Basetsana, instead of giving me an advice on what to do here he tells me shit.

Me: You forget easily that your wife was the same as Basetsana when you met her and worse your wife was a stripper.

Ayanda: Guys lets just let this go.

Bongani: You're right, Sbani I advice you to drop Basetsana now and focus on your wife, I'm telling you this will end ugly and you won't like it.

Me: We'll see about that.

I'm not going to listen to any of them, Basetsana is mine and there's no letting her go neither am I letting Zizipho go.

Bongani: About that vacation we planned...

Zola: Yeah we should just go this weekend, I think Sbani needs it more than us.

Me: **** you.

We laugh.

Ayanda: So who are you taking, Basetsana or your wife?

Me; obviously I'm taking my wife, I'll just have to see what lie to tell Basetsana.

Bongani: You didn't like this girl at first mos, so what happened? she was supposed to be your side chick until your wife comes back for good.

Me: love happened man.

They laugh out loud causing us stares.

Zola: Love?

Me: Yes love, I broke her virginity two weeks back.

Zola: You don't say, that girl was still sealed?

Me: Yes.

They laugh.

Bongani: No wonder you love her.

Ayanda: How is it?

Me: How is what?

Zola: Basetsana's cookie?

Me: Guys come on I can't tell you that.

Bongani: We just want to know.

Me: It's nice and I did something.

Zola: What, you cheated?

Me: No I beat her.

They gasp.

Zola: Why, was she cheating that time we saw her going to that grey polo?

Me: I think so, I slapped her twice and pulled her with her hair.

Bongani: That's what she gets for being a whore, she has to know who's the man.

Ayanda: Guys no, we don't beat women.

Zola: So if she's cheating I should sit and watch being made a fool?

Ayanda: No I didn't say that, It's just not fair.

Bongani: On you or her?

He sighs.

I don't get what's his deal, I'll hate to think that there's some hidden feelings somewhere for my girlfriend.
