We arrived at the garage and luckily for us they where kinda short of workers today so we were given overalls to get on the job , y'all shouldve seen the joy on our faces . Right now we busy cleaning up some car

Mandla:" this has to be our lucky day hey" he says with a wide smile

"Yeah man. just glad you suggested we come here now look atleast we gonna be getting some cash today"

Mandla:" and please do something nice for Aisha "

" l will bhuti ka Aisha " l say laughing but yeah l do need to get her something that girl of mine has been supporting me like nobody has ever done before , she makes sure she motivates me and she doesn't make me feel less of a man like other people do back home

we continued to wash cars until we were done

"Majita here's your money thank you for filling in , we might just hire you guys " the manager says handing us R300 each

"For real " l ask

Manager:" lnfact you are hired"

l gasp

Mandla:" eh hired? ungazodlala wena " he says in a chirpy voice

Manager:"lts up to you if you want the job or not"

" Damn lm up for this , how about you Mandla"

Mandla stared at me like lm crazy

Mandla:"man you know. unemployment , qnys syabonga manager" he says genuinely

Manager:"welcome on board then , we'll meet tomorrow 8am sharp " he says walking away

Mandla:"Man lm so happy finally l will be able to put food on the table and even by gogo her pills"

"lm glad we'll just have to work hard then "

he nodds . we walk out from the garage

"Man lemme pass by Aisha's"

Mandla:"sure man , greet her for me"

"Sure" l say walking away

-30 minutes later

lm outside Aisha's place , l knock then someone opens oh it's my babe

Aisha:"Zuko " she says softly , l just love it wen she calls my name in short

"Babe may l come in" l smile at her as she does the same and making way for me to enter
