CHAPTER 29 ( SEASON COMES TO AN END)

Its been 3 Hours since the Biyelas have left along with my brother and his partner. You see the information I've got I have to think it through I have to plan it and be careful I want to catch that bitch and show her the way out how dear she, but im supper happy that I have fixed my relationship with my brother I can't wait for January to meet them all and have some gathering you know have that warmth again I so miss that. I walked to my sisters room shes been there sulking , it hurts me that I cant even tell her where her man is , I now understand what my husband goes through when things like these happened . Its really hard to keep a secret to someone you care about and whats worst is that you cant do anything about it. I knocked and waited for her to answer me but she didn’t not so I opened the door she was seating on the floor her head in between her thighs I walked to her . 

 

Me:mntas whats going on? 

Hlwai: everything, I cannt believe I was so stupid enough to do what I did, and I know I was thinking about my career you know how much I love my work and now im becoming something big im living my dream. But I stole my husband dream I became so selfish that I didn’t even think twice I just. 

Me: what did you do ? 

Hlwai: eish mntase. So I found out that I was pregnant . 

Me: congratulations that’s good news but you are not even showing mntase. How far are you?  

Hlwai: Thats because I did an abortion.  

Duo: what? ( I looked at the door Makhosandile Lwandle Zungu was standing ther) 

Lwandle: what did you say? ( he’s soft voice was becoming very low like he is coming down with flu) 

Lwandle: uthini Hlwayela. Wena ubulale umntana wam ( what are you saying Hlwayela. 

You killed my child) 

Me: listen Lwandle how about we… 

Lwandle: im so calm MaZungu please respect me and don’t petronas me. Leave this room. 

 

I looked at this man standing in front of me its like he was fading every minute he was becoming a shadow of himself. Its like his world was coming to an end when I looked at my sister shes standing there shaking as hell ow I know she just signed her death certificate right now. She looks at me as Mk is asking me exit the room she shakes her head signalling me to keep still. 

 

Me: I respect you Gwabini but I cant leave you like this with my sister. 

Lwandle: you did an abortion after I beg you for months ukuthi umithe but wena you go out there and..i cant do this,please talk to me.( he is begging his wife to talk he is not angry he is confused , he is sad , he is I don’t know how to describe this) 

Lwandle: sthandwa sam lets talk , what did you do and why did you do it please say something , im loosing it right now, did you mean you had a miscarriage ? 

Hlwai: im sorry Zungu, I .. I did what I thought was right. 

Lwandle: so .. mmhh ( clearing his throat) how far were you? 

Hlwai: baby please im sorry..( she looks at me I don’t know for what but I nodded ) I was 9 weeks pregnant. 

Lwandle: that is 2 months a 1 week , and I recall asking you to get pregnant and by that time we were already pregnant but you decided you take what I needed for you to be well known business woman right. To hell about your husband who wants a child, or wasn’t not mine? 

Hlwai: how can you asked me that , it was yours baby I never slept outside our marriage and that’s something I will never do.( crying ) 

Lwandle: you must hate me then, cause there is no way you will take away a chance of me becoming a father away. You don’t love me  

 

He goes to the bathroom I assume to wash his face cause his eyes are red you could tell he wants to cry but he cant do that infront of me and im wondering why is he not angry like I expect him to be he is so calm for my liking, he walks out the bathroom and looks at his wife and takes off the ring he puts it on the chest of drawer and he walks out.  

 

Hlwai: never Makhosandile never!! ( she walks out taking the ring with her and running after her husband ) 

 

Hlwai: we can fix this don’t give up! I so sorry babe but we can try again please. 

Lwandle: I don’t want to see your pretty face please leave me alone. ( right there my husband walks in he is on video call with Dave who decided in the middle of the night he will never spend December holidays in this cold weather and he took he wife and they fly out to BALI ) 

Dave : yo’ man whats going on there? 

Sengwayo: ladies can you please give us a moment. 

Hlwai: no Sengwayo he wants to leave me, he cant do that im nothing without him he knows that please speak to him. 

Lwandle: I needed that baby ! and you choose to kill , and now you think you can.. ! woman please leave me the fuc alone ! ( okay I didn’t expect this outbust its like a big Tiger is out he is spitting fire his eyes are red you cant even see the black eye balls his face is changing its shape)  

Dave: Segwayo take him out of there he cant be changing like that we did so much to let the beast sleep. 

Sengwayo: GWABINI ,MANZINI , GEDA, NCWANCE, NGANKOMO YASE 

MAHENYENI , NYAMA KAYISHI ISHANGABABHEBHEZELI, WENA OWAPHUMA 

NGENONI EMGODINI, SENGWAYO! LALA KWEDINI , ZINTLUNGU EZI KODWA YIZE DLULA, SIZOKUNIKA UMNTANA UYEZA USENDLELENI UMNTANA OZOTHAMBISA INTLIZIYO YAKHO. LALA KWEDINI !! 

 

I looked at my husband as takes off his lenses and he takes his brothers face into his he calls out their clan names and be boldly tells who ever that they should sleep the pain is not permanent and that they will give whoever the child that will jolly is heart. And right there Lwandle comes down and he cries a loud cry his voice is full of pain , my husband takes his brother to the room next to ours and they lock the door and all you could hear the cries only.  

 

And the breaking of things its like they are having a fight or something. At this point I don’t now what to do or say to my sister she is seating on the floor crying too and I want to comfort her but at the same time im pissed off shame I don’t wanna lie like all this doesn’t look nor sounds like my sister but then akhonto ifana nomntu.
