I walked out of the house slowly, each step feeling heavier than the last, my mind spinning so fast I could barely breathe. The night air hit me, cold and sharp, but it did nothing ,absolutely nothing.,to cool down the fire burning in my chest. I kept replaying Sasalakhe's words over and over again, as if hearing them a second time would somehow change the meaning.

"She is in KwaZulu… she left a few hours ago."
