The past two weeks have been… loud. Heavy. Chaotic in a way only life enjoys serving me. But in the middle of everything, I've been clinging onto one thing ,one person ,like my lungs depended on her. My girl, Zimkitha. My forbidden little peace.

Every afternoon when she walked toward me in that neat school uniform, I swear time moved differently. The white shirt tucked perfectly, the navy skirt at her knees, the badge on her chest written boldly:
