I'm having red wine on the balcony , the fresh air is therapeutic , after what happened today with Metse and everything . I just want to be alone .. I feel someone stand next to me as I move my eyes to them .

“so where did i go wrong with you ?” I say heaving another sigh . 

“you didn't go wrong with me , i let my friends dictate how i should live and i listened to their stupid advices .” she says . 

“so what I've taught you went in this ear and got out of the other ear ?” I ask her .

“no mother , i just...i was under the influence of peer pressure .” she says . 

“you disappointed me a lot , more over you hurt me because i didn't expect this from you .” i say and she sighs . 

“please forgive me , I'm sorry .” she says . 

“its not that we don't want you to date . You've never striked us as a girl who'd want to date someday , you're a reserved person .” I say and she nods .

“what happened to me is happening to you right now and unfortunately for me , there was no one to sit me down and talk to me . My mother was this broken woman who didn't even smile at some days hence i ended up in the wrong hands but fortunately for you , i am here for you and I'll stop you at any given day , I'll stop you from getting in trouble and actually talk to you . I'll slap you if i must Ontshiametse , you're a child , yes you're a teenager but you're still a child in our eyes .” I say and she nods . 

“i know and I'm sorry , I'll make sure to choose better friends that encourage me to do better .” she says and I nod ..

“its okay , you did what any parent would have done if their child was getting out of hand . I understand and I'm learning from my mistakes .” she says as I sigh .

“I'm sorry mommy , I'm sorry .” she says . 

“i forgive you .” I say opening my arms , she gladly throws herself in my arms .

“I'm so sorry ..” she says . 

“shall we move past it ?” she nods and smiles . 

“please .. should i get Sbani and Lelo ready for bed?”

“I'd appreciate that .” I say hugging her again . 

“okay let me go , would you like some salt and vinegar chips and chocolate to go with your red wine ?” this girl ..

“I'd love that ..” she kisses my cheeks and walks out . I heave a sigh pouring another glass of wine . Atleast she's back to her senses and she has apologized .

She drops off the potato chips and cholcates and walks out , I glance at the city view while eating my snacks and drinking my wine .
