“HIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART”

CHAPTER : 39 . 

LWANDILE HLONGWANE .

Maybe it's true when they say love doesn't exist , love that's genuine and real ? that kind of love doesn't exist . I showed her I loved her , not because of what she had but just naturally falling for her beautiful heart and perfect face . In all of that , she still found a way to go widen her legs for another man . I trusted her , I thought I've finally found someone I can rely on forever . 

I didn't intend on hitting her , I just couldn't control myself . I know I shouldn't have done that but she pushed me , she lied .. I hate liars . I didn't want to show her that side of me but she pushed me . I feel bad for hurting her , I don't even know what Kagoentle and Ontshiametse will say when they see her like that . I fucked up .

I'm walking back home , at this point .. I'm drained . I just want to forget about Rorisang and that she ever existed . There's no coming back from this , she fucked up and I fucked up . It's crazy because there are kids involved . I open the gate and walk inside .. 

“brother ..” she meets me by the door hugging my waist . She's crying .. 

“Thando ? what's wrong ?” I say 

“he..he..” she stutters . 

“what's happening ? Where's mom ? What about Lelo ?” she glances at me . 

“he's back ..” I raise my eyebrow . 

“who's back ?” 

“Dad ..” I could've sworn I didn't hear her properly , Dad ? what ? 

“what ?”

“he's back ..” I push her out of the way and walk inside , I make my way to the lounge but stop on my tracks . 

He glances at me as a smile forms on his face while anger consumed my entire body . 

“Lwandile my son !” he stands up but I shift back . 

“don't even think about it .” I say . 

“aren't you happy to see your father now ?” I frown . 

“father ? Do you see yourself as a father ?” I glance at my mother who's busy serving tea for him . 

“Ma what are you doing ?” I say . 

“why is Rorisang in the hospital Lwandile ?” I sit down . 

“i made a mistake .” I say .

“a mistake ? beating her up is a mistake ? Did i raise you like this Lwandile ??” I shake my head . 

“yeii , he didn't do anything wrong . You did right ! A woman must feel the beatings of the man she's in a relationship with !” I frown at this fool . 

“did anyone speak to you Msizi ??” I say . 

“don't talk to your father like that ! You should be happy that he's back now !” I shake my head . 

“i should be happy that he's back ? I should be happy for this fool ? Ma don't test me please !” I say half shouting . 

“you go around beating Rorisang up yet you claimed that you love her , in the eyes of the lord Lwandile ! Ah sies mahn , nakhona umshayeleni ?” I sigh . 

“she cheated ..” Msizi jumps up . 

“yeboo ! you did right by fucking her up ! She cheated ? How dare she ?” I'm about to beat up this man , I really am . 

“Msizi no ! What Lwandile did was wrong ! Whether she cheated on you or not . Beating her up wasn't the solution .” she says . 

“the damage is done .. there's no going back .” I say . 

“now Matthew came here and he threatened to make you pay for whatever you did to Rorisang !” I raise my eyebrow . 

“Matthew ??”

“Rorisang's father ..” 

“so why are you calling him by his name ?” 

“you see son , Matthew and I come a very long way ! We were business partners back in the day , even you .. you used to go to Rorisang's home and her mother would play with you , dish up for you . So the Hlongwanes and the Martins actually come a very long way .” its crazy because I don't remember anything . 

“we just made enemies with people that used to be our closest friends .” he says .

“your voice is irritating me right now , if you could shut up !” 

“you need to go and apologize to Rorisang .” mom says . 

“you just said her father was looking for me , if i step anywhere near her then he's gonna kill me . I just have to accept that what we had is over .” 

“what about Lelo ? Kagoentle or Ontshiametse ? Are you deserting them just like that ?” 

“Kagoentle and Ontshiametse aren't Lwandile's children , he's not responsible for them . She must go and seek support from the father of her children and leave my son !” 

“I've taken Ontshiametse and Kagoentle as my children so there's really nothing you could do . If yoh could leave this house and stop blubbering shit .” I say . 

“about that ...” Mom clears her throat . 

“what is it ?” I ask and she sighs . 

“We're moving to Sandton ..” I chuckle ..

“go well ..” 

“Lwandile ..” 

“there's been a lot of things happening today , i want to catch my breath and just reflect . I might not see Rorisang again in my life or the kids so please .. don't make any new changes right now . Moreover , this man can't just come out of jail and demand that we move . We don't know how you got out because no one informed us . You probably bribed the judge or something ..”

I say standing up and walking to the kitchen , Thando has never had any sort of relationship with Msizi . She was still in my mother's womb when he got arrested so she doesn't know him at all hence she's hurt like this . 

“come ..” she wraps her arms around my waist and cries out loudly . I feel so bad about everything , I just want this earth to open up and swallow me inside .. that wasn't me , I didn't mean to beat her up but I'll hold myself accountable for that . I messed up ..
