3 WEEKS LATER-DECEMBER
Finally I'm on leave for December yhoo aii what a year it has been anyway, today we're going to KZN for a WEEK eii and I'm so nervous yhoo, anyway I'm currently packing while MaShezi is just sitting on my bed telling me which outfits I should take and which not to take eii uJudge Judy ena. That's when I took out a long black dress that had long sleeves but had a little clevage space

Siya:"okay beka mama let's get you new dresses if you're that keen on wearing dresses"
Me:"yes I'm keen baby phela these are your parents we're talking about I don't want to appear like anginambhekho"
Siya:"haii okay mama close up your suitcase then so we can all go to the mall and you can get your dresses and I can also treat usmall la since athi I owe her for taking up your free time that she was utilizing for the greater good"
MaShezi:"vele bekha manje you're taking her to KZN on DECEMBER. Imagine that, who will I be left with here?"

We laughed and I zipped up my suitcase and I took it and my toiletry bag but when Siya saw me taking my own bags he looked offended and took them from me

I smiled when MaShezi said that and we walked out the apartment and I locked up and went downstairs to where his car was and he placed my bags in the back and we all hoped in the car then left and went to the mall. When we reached the mall, me and MaShezi started at THE FIX and I picked out a few more long dresses even though Siya picked a short one saying I would wear it when I was in his room only and I said no because that's just a silly idea. When we were finally done we went to CHICKEN LICKEN and MaShezi ordered and I went to DEBONIARS and ordered for me and Siya, then we all sat down and ate while laughing at stupid things while waiting for Themba, his girlfriend (Sindiswa), Mandla and Lindi for them to finally arrive so we can go get a few more stuff before heading to the airport. They finally arrived after 15 minutes and when Themba laid his eyes on MaShezi he instantly let go of his girlfriends hand and shock MaShezi's hand and I could actually see the chemistry between them mara these people are both dating and Themba is completely bad news, luckily Siya noticed how long Themba held MaShezi's hand and he slapped it away and we all laughed and MaShezi came to stand next to me and I whispered to her
Me:"chomi weeeeh not uThemba please he will grate your heart hmm"
MaShezi:"I didn't say anything kodwa mganiwam"
Me:"I saw how y'all looked at each other madam and bona manje uyablush'a"
MaShezi:"okay keh but nothing will happen"

Finally we all walked to checkers and bought a few stuff and left to go to each others cars, the rest went to the airport while me and Siya dropped MaShezi off first then followed the rest and when we got to the 'airport' we didn't go through the normal check in's of the airport but we just headed to the back and there was a jet, I looked at Siya
Siya:"it's the royal private jet Sthandwa Sami"
I nodded my head but was I not screaming inside because I'm living my novel fantasy for real halala Mbali!! Anyway, we got in and Themba and Sindiswa were having a full blown argument and Mandla and Lindi seemed so defeated by their constent arguing and Siya got us to go to the other side to give them privacy and he served us some drinks and before handing me mine he looked at my stomach and sighed before sitting down and giving me mine

Siya:"ukuthi nje I'm just thinking of the day I can get a mini me mama"

Then he kissed my forehead and we faced Lindi and Mandla and we started talking about little things. As the flight took long I ended up falling asleep on Siya's lap. When we landed Siya woke me up by smothering my face with kisses as always and when we were walking done the stairs I saw that there were silk black RANGE ROVERS and man dressed in black suits with ear pieces and I just concluded that they are the chauffeur and bodyguards and they opened our doors and we got in and drove to the royal house. When we arrived to their "village" it didn't even look like a village it looked so modern even though the houses were far from each other and the view in this area is amazing haaa, anyway we got to the royal house and it was a huge yard with a main house in the middle and small houses around it and the cars parked and we stepped out the cars and Siya said I should stand behind him because he wants to supprise someone who has been dying to see me I did that and stood behind him
Person:"ahhh bobuthi bami!!"
Everyone:"Sthuthuthu sethu!!"
Person:"wait buthi Siya didn't you say you're bringing intombi yako?"
Siya:"I did"

I laughed when she said that
Me:"yes we are, that means we're meant to be spiritual sister's angithi?"

Then she took my hand and dragged me to the main house where there was an older woman but still amazingly stunning lady, who looked like Esihle, seated on the throne talking to another girl

I walked over to her and she stood up and gave me a hug, this family loves hugs haa. When she pulled back and looked at my outfit she smiled

Mama:"yebo ngani yami phela this is the first time they bring a girl who knows how to dress respectfully when coming to a royal ceremony and ochoka amadoek"

I smiled when she said that and the rest came in and Themba and Sindiswa came last and when mama laid her eyes on her short dress that showed her cleavage and her swaying her 30' buss down weave, she looked at me and chuckeled a little and went to stand infront of her and hugged her and held her hands

I nudged her while silently laughing and I saw the others holding their own laughs

Then she left with her and Themba was busy scratching his head

Me:"haaa wena Siya ungakulinge because you also almost put me in the same position I'm just happy I didn't listen to you eii. Nawe Themba uwrong why didn't you advice her on her outfit?"

We all laughed when he said that. That's when Esihle ran upstairs and after a few moments she came back down with an older man who looked like a very older version of all the brothers and I just assumed that he was their father. As soon as he laid his eyes on me it was as if he had seen a ghost and he was frozen in place. We all looked at each other that's when Esihle nudged him and he came back to reality.
Baba:"Esihle uthi ubani lentombi enhle le?"
Esihle:"she's buthi Siya's girlfriend, Mbali"
Baba:"nice to meet you ntombazana yami, I'm these idiots father and the king"
Me:"ngiyabonga Baba I'm also delighted to meet you"
Baba:"Esihle, go get Nyokayamanzi so she can also come see our new edition to our family and ask her to come to my study when she's done"
Esihle nodded and left, so did Baba. She came back, followed by a woman who was dressed in sangoma clothing and I quickly kneeled

The brothers all had their jaws dropped and I looked at Siya confused as to why they were so shocked

Then she walked away and when she finally disappeared from view Mandla laughed and we looked at him confused
Mandla:"so when she says 'stray cat' she means uSindiswa?"
Then he laughed even more and me, Lindi, Siya and Esihle we all laughed when we caught on and Themba folded his arms
Themba:"sesalang uthe my wife is close so I have to open my eyes"

Themba:"haii only out of reach"
We laughed even more when he was trying to console himself. And soon each person went to their houses outside, I just followed Siya to his. When we got there he threw himself on the bed while I went to the bathroom when I was done I came out and he sat up looking at me looking at myself in the mirror, with a smirk on his face

Me:"haaa baby I need to get back to the kitchen because your mom said she wants all the girls in the kitchen to help out"
That's when he stood up and came to stand behind me and ran his fingers lightly on my neck and good God this man knows how to press my buttons. Then he whispered in my ear with his voice being raspy

I completely lost my composure and turned around and pushed him onto the bed and when he stretched a bit I saw the bulge in his pants and I smirked and pulled down his sweatpants and it sprun out. Then I left laughing and as I was walking back to the kitchen I got a call from and unknown number and I answered
Me:"hello?"

I almost had a heart acttack as I recognized the voice as Tshidiso's voice. So he changed his number now eiii modimo
Me:"motho wa modimo obatlang? Because I blocked you now you're calling with an unknown number"
Tshidiso:"I told you that there was no where you're going because you're mine. Yanong tell me, since when do you date royal boys lebo mashayela badi taxi?"
My heart dropped as I knew he was talking about Siya and I was wondering how he knew about us because I blocked him on all my socials

Then she hugged me, and as I said this family loves hugs, anyway Nosipho the one who looked a little older an Esihle, came to hug me right after

Me:"you wouldn't belive me even if I told you babes"

I took her hand and we headed to the house

NARRATOR-WHEN BABA SAW MBALI
When Baba saw Mbali his reaction was of shock at the fact that Mbali had a spiritual gift and not just any gift but of uMakhosi which he knows what that means for the royal family, especially for Siya, but he didn't understand how she was Siya's girlfriend because he was his second son and Mandla was his first, who was to be the next king. When he asked Esihle to get Nyokayamanzi to come see Mbali, he wasn't just asking for her to know for fun he wanted to confirm something and get clarity. So when he went upstairs he didn't go to his study directly as he stood upstairs where no one saw him but he could see everything going on down there. As he was watching them all talking among themselves he kept asking himself 'why' and 'how'. That's when a few moments later Nyokayamanzi walked in and smiled at Mbali, even making her look at her in the eye's, which she never does that with anyone. Baba got more confused and curious. When Nyokayamanzi came upstairs and saw him watching everyone downstairs with confusion she knew exactly why
Nyokayamanzi:"the ancestors didn't make a mistake you know"
Baba almost fainted as he didn't hear her coming
Baba:"yhoo auntie I almost had a heart arttack, but how is she for Siya and not uMandla the first born who's the next king?"
Nyokayamanzi:"let s go to your study so I can explain"
They walked into Baba's study and sat down
Nyokayamanzi:"the generation of your children is the fourth one in our lineage, that the queen does not have both roles, but the roles are split to fit two people that the ancestors know will bring greater good to the village that's why this village keeps evolving every ten years"
Baba:"ohhh so Mandla's soulmate will be the one to lead the village while Mbali protects and sees the spiritual things?"
Nyaokayamanzi:"nje. And you have to sit down with all your kids today and tell them about their family's gift but they might see it was a curse"
Baba:"eya gogo ngizoyiyenza namhlanje ebesuku"

He nodded and Nyokayamanzi stood up and left, and he stayed there scratching his beard.

BACK IN THE KITCHEN-MBALI'S POV
When we got back to the kitcen with Sindiswa, Nomtha looked at her from top to bottom as if she had seen a roatch or something
Nomtha:"Sindiswa?!"
Sindiswa:"ohh hi friend…"

That's when Themba turned to look at Sindiswa who was now in tears and he looked livid and pointed the knife at her. Sindiswa ran to hide behind me like girll uzongibulalisa jehova!
Me:"Eshile go get Siya and Mandla now, run!"
She quickly ran out
Themba:"so you have been cheating on me this whole damn time while I give you every gaddamn thing you ever wanted. You want a wig? I fucking buy it!! You wanted a car? I got it for you!!"
He was saying all this while pointing the knife at Sindiswa, who was hiding behind me, and he was slowly getting closer
Me:"Themba mfana calm down violence won't solve anything please drop the knife"
Themba:"Mbali get out the way, I don't want to hurt you in the process of dealing with this fucking hoe. And wena Sindiswa I loved you more than anything. I even gave up my hoeing ways just for your golddigging BBL ass"
That's when Siya and Mandla came running and stopped by the door where Themba couldn't see them and Siya signalled for me to keep themba's eyes on me which that wasn't quite hard as he already was focused on Sindiswa who was behind me. That's when Siya grapped the knife out themba's hand and Mandla quickly grabbed him and he tried resisting at first but eventually gave up sobbed in his brother's arms. That's when I saw that Themba did really love this girl more than anything, eish hade boii
Siya:"sindiswa mfethu phuma lana tuu I'll book you a plane ticket home"
Sindiswa:"wait!! You can't do that to me, I'm…I'm pregnanat and its Themba's child"
Nkosinaye who had just walked in:"heebana?"

Sindiswa stepped back startled and tried protesting until she looked into the eyes of Nyokayamanzi and she seemed to have felt something and she ran out, to probably fetch her things and leave. Honestly it's for the best yhoo hai because next minute we'll be behind bars because of aboBBL from turkey and fake Cartier bracelets ngeke haa
Nyokayamanzi:"I think its time your father tells you guys about the truth of this family"
We all looked at this woman and I decided to walk out and go to Siya's room since that talk seemed like a private family matter when suddenly, Lindi came to me

She nodded and I just followed her back to the house, where everyone was now seated in the throne room and I sat next to Siya who took my hand in his and kissed the back of it and I looked at him with a side eye because he knows how much public affection, especially infront of his parents, makes me cringe/uncomfortable and he just chuckled like nooo marhn

NARTOR- THE STORY BABA WAS TELLING THE FAMILY
Many years ago bab'khumalo, the very great great grandfather who was named as Sizwe, was the second of 6 children of the royal family at the time. The first born was a girl called Thandiswa, and she was next on the throne, but since this was in the olden days the elders believed that a woman could not lead without a husband who was also equally of royal blood so their father who was the king at the time, told thandiswa that he would choose a husband for her which that was never something she wanted, as she believed in finding true love and leading her village with the love of her life. Since her and Sizwe were really close, she confided in him
Thandiswa:"mninwa, mina angifuni ukushada nomuntu engamazi haii ngeke yhoo"
Sizwe:"sisi ngiyazwisisa intoyakho kodwa uyamazi ubaba unjani, uzokhuforce'a uthanda ungathandi"
Thandiswa:"enkinga yami ke leyo"
Two weeks later the king called one of the royal prince from another village and gathered his children
King:"nganezam this will be your new brother-in-law by tomorrow evening"
Sizwe:"haibo baba, whose husband will he be for?"
King:"he'll be Thandiswa's husband as I had said I'm going to get her a husband"
Thandiswa:"haibo baba I told you I don't want that nje"
King:"thula!! You never brought home a husband so I'm doing the job you failed to do be greatful!!"
All the whole family watched as Thandiswa ran to her room and Sizwe followed his sister to comfort her, as the king stayed and explained to the prince that she would come around. Later on that day, Sizwe went to check on his sister again he caught her packing a small bag

Thandiswa:"I can't stay and marry a man who looks twice my age and I don't know him ngiyaxolisa small"
Sizwe:"so what's going to happen to your duties and your role?"

Sizwe nodded and he and his sister hugged before she left through the window and never came back after that day. The day of what should have been her wedding came and she was nowhere to be found and the wedding was canceled and the other family left and that's when the elders decided to give the throne to Sizwe. Years later the king died and Sizwe was finally throned as king. Three years after being throned he fell in love with a sweet young lady called Nomsa, and their wedding was magnificent. Two years later Sizwe went to a neighbouring village's ceremony and it was happening over a week. That's when he was spotted by a girl whose name was Lindiswa and she knew she wanted him for herself as she was sick an tired of living in poverty in her village, so she immediately got to asking about him around in the ceremony and came up with a plan to feed him korobela and get pregnant by him and become the Queen and get out of poverty. During this week of the ceremony she had managed to give Sizwe the poisioned food and she eventually got pregnant by him during this week. When Sizwe went back to his own village and he was a completely different man. The first thing he did was marry Lindiswa, dispite the warinings from the elders and against Nomsa's consent. The day of the wedding the weather was very dark and raining clearly showing that this wasn't supposed to happen. After they eventually got married Sizwe started treating Nomsa like trash, and even demoted her from being the Queen as Lindiswa was able to give him his 'first born son', but as he was doing that, the village was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Nomsa gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, two years after Lindiswa, but unfortunately those children were treated badly for many years and eventually Nomsa was fed up and decided to leave with her children and go back home and the royal seer advices Sizwe that the village was going to only face more hardships as the ancestors were angry. Many years past and Nomsa unfortunately passd away leaving her children to fend for themselves at the ages of 19, and relatives brought them back to the royal family house where Lindiswa resented them for literally just existing and she was the true definition of Cinderella's cruel step-mother. Sphamandla came of age and it was time for him to be crowned king. So the day of the crowning ceremony finally came, but that day was filled with so many mishaps and disaster that it was getting questionable as to why it was happening e.g.
1. When they bought two goats that were to be slaughted. They instantly dropped dead, simaltenously when it stepped into the gate so they decided to use the goat that was already at the back of the house
2. When they tried putting the goat skin on Sphamandla's wrist each strand would instantly fall off when they touched his skin, so they just decided they would make him wear it when he was done being crowned – which it was not customs but ohh well.
3. When the woman of the yard tried making the traditional beer it refused to bubble up despite everything they atempyed so they just decided that the guests would just be served juice
4. The meat of the cow that was slaughted went bad in just 3 hours before it could be cooked
And that's just to name a few, but yes everything that was needed for this ceremony to be successful was going bad that Sphamandla wanted to give up the throne, but his mother convinced him not to as it was his 'birth right'. Then came the corination day and the weather changed and it was thunderstorms and raining so badly that rivers where overflowing. Everyone was in the throne room awaiting the crowning of the prince. Now at the front there stood the pastor (since the royal seer refused to be there because he said he warned the king to not do this but he didn't listen so he would just let the ancestors take the front line). As soon as that crown touched Sphamandla's head he dropped dead on the floor and everyone gasped and his mother screamed hysterically when suddenly came in a great sangoma from the mountains and he went to stand right next to the lifeless body of Sphamandla
Lindiswa:"yeeey wena mthakhati wenzeni ingane yami yhooo Nkosi!!"
Sangoma:"I think we all know who the real witch is here don't we Lindiswa?"

Sizwe didn't respond and just stared, then the sangoma puffed something in his face and he snapped out of it and looked around confused

The whole crowd gasped and Lindiswa's eyes widened even more as she saw that she was about to be exposed

That when she got scared and started talking through tears
Lindiswa:"I'm sorry for all the damage and misery I brought onto this village and family but I had to do it as I was tired of poverty and didn't want the child I was already carrying to be subjected to the same misery as me in my village…"
The whole crowed gasped and it got filled with whispers as they finally connected the dots that Sphamandla was not the Kings biological child
Lindiswa:"and when I saw the king at a ceremony he attended in my village I knew I had to get him by all means necessary as he was well praised for being the richest king amongst all the neighbouring villages, so I went to a traditional healer to give me korobela and a spell to use on the king so that he would marry me and mistreat his wife Nomsa…"
The king's eyes widened as Lindiswa kept revealing more and he felt dizzy so he sat down
Lindiswa:"the real father of Sphamandla found out I got married to the king and came back to me and since I was still deep in love with him I took him back altimetely having an affair on the king and I kept getting pregnant by him and I only had one child by the child who is my last born…"
The crowd went wild and finally the king shed tears as he realized he let lust get him into so much shit and he lost the love of his life and his soulmate because of that
Lindiswa:"when Nomsa gave birth to the kings legitimate twins I knew that I had competiton so I cast a spell on the king to allow me to mistreat them until eventually Nomsa took her and children and left…"
The crowd now had their jaws dropped and Nomsa's children were shedding tears at their mother's acts
Lindiswa:"but that wasn't enough for me as I wanted to make sure that Nomsa and Sizwe would never get back together, I conjoured up a spell that would make her fall mysteriously ill and die an there I thought I wouldn't have any more competition…"
The crowd's eyes filled with tears as their favourite queen's mysterious death was not so mysterious after all
Lindiswa:"but when the elders brought back the twins and I saw how close Sizwe and both the twins were getting and how my own children loved them, I knew I had to act so they wouldn't ruin my plans, so I forbid my children from talking to them and I cast a spell on Sizwe so he could neglect them and I made them into the servants of the house…"
That's when Thandi, the girl twin came and slapped Lindiswa as she was crying so painfully
Thandi:"you made my childhood a misery, I watched my mother laying on her deathbed and I watched her take her last breath I watched my father neglect us and I thought he didn't love us and when he was finally started showing affection to us you still took that away from us!!!"
When she was about to pounce on her, her twin Themba, held her back even though he was in tears as well and their father stood up and held them in his arms as the sobbed.
Lindiswa:"ngiyaxolisa, ngicela ningixolele"
She was sobbing as she was saying this when suddenly there came lightning through the window and struck her as suddenly as it had came in and she instantly dropped dead and the crowd went wild. The Sangoma took a cloth and put it over her body and Sphamandla's body and told the guards to take their bodies away. Her remaining 4 kids came forward in tears and didn't know whether to hug their twin siblings or would they reject it and the twins looked at their hesitation and opened their arms and they all shared a hug of hurt, pain and of joy that the storm has finally past.
Sizwe:"im so sorry my children this would have never happened if only I had tried resisting her spells"
Thandi:"we forgive you baba just promise us that from now on we'll stick as a family together and nothing will come between us"
Everyone nodded and the Sangoma cleared their throught and they all looked at him
Sangoma:"my job here is finally done I will be on my way now"
They all thanked him and he left as mysterious as he had came. 2 weeks later the kingdom had finally regained some normalicy and the king was seated and deep in thought when he had an idea that he never wanted his future generations to go through what he went through and he set of to the Sangoma in the mountains. He got there and found the Sangoma seated in his ndumba.
Sangoma:"I've been expecting you sit."
He sat down

Every after 10 generations the roles of the soulmate of the king or queen will be split, meaning the second born will be the one to marry the person with the makhosi gift and the first born will be married to their soulmate whose gift is to lead the village to the better making the village risher every 10 generations."
Sizwe seemed satisfied at that and immediately agreed
Sangoma:"but there is one thing…"
Sizwe:"yes?"
Sangoma:"if ever your child makes their soulmate cry or they hurt them because of their behaviour and they end up leaving, the village will face misery and if our child doesn't make amends with their soulmate in 4-5 years they will run mad and never be helped"
Sizwe's eyes widened and he nodded as he saw that as a fair sacrifice and that's when the Sangoma did all that he needed to do and Sizwe left to tell his children what he had just done and they all saw it as the best way to protect their family from any harm in the future.
