YIKHOKONKE
The alarm rings and I quickly switch it off. The sun is shining brightly through the curtains turning the whole room orange. I don't even remember when I fell asleep but it was after midnight. I turn rubbing my eyes and Nkosi is sleeping peacefully besides me.
I place my head in his chest and wrap my arm and leg on him. He holds me slowly like I'm something fragile,
Me: Good morning, babe.
He perks my forehead.
