At Naledi's apartment.

She puts on her Gucci sandals and takes her handbag then walks out of the apartment . She's an hour late but she's taking her time , after all .. she takes time to look this good . She gets in her car and drives off ...

She arrives at the resturant and jumps off the car , she walks inside and walks towards him .

Naledi : hey ..

Kutlwano : well you do take your own time hey .

Naledi : I'm sure you see why .

She sits down besides him .

Naledi : have you ordered anything ?

Kutlwano : I ordered a long Island for you .

Naledi : thanks ...

Kutlwano : you look stressed .

Naledi : the cases never end .

Kutlwano : I know , you chose this path .

Naledi : I know and I'm dedicated to my job and career , I know it gets hard but I'm here to stay .

Kutlwano : this next case is a tough one .

Naledi : I managed to knock down Xolani Khumalo , who's Luyolo Dlamini ?

Kutlwano : Langelihle's little brother ?

She sighs and rolls her eyes .

Naledi : I don't know what's special about this Dlamini family because I really see nothing special . All I know is that someone from the Dlamini family has raped a child .

Barman : here are your drinks ..

Naledi : thank you .

Kutlwano : thanks .

Naledi sips on her drink .

Naledi : it's so good .

Kutlwano : it's your all time favorite after all .

Naledi : yeah , you're like .. the best friend ever .

He nods lightly and fakes a smile .. of course he has feelings for Naledi but he can't ignore the fact that he's Naledi's boss and they shouldn't mix business with pleasure , besides .. he's not even sure if Naledi would feel the same about him.

Kutlwano : how's the house building going ?

Naledi : good , I think we're gonna be done in 2 -3 months .

Kutlwano : you've really worked hard .

Naledi : it's what they deserve after the struggle they went through for me to get to varsity .

Kutlwano : I know .. their hard work paid off . Look at you now ..

Naledi : I'm a 26 year old lawyer .

Kutlwano : the best one yet .

She giggles making his heart jump , she sips on her drink and he glances at her while he also gulps down his whiskey .

At Langelihle Dlamini's house .

He drinks his whiskey while he glances at her working her magic in court .. the way she smirks , the way she talks .. the way she moves . She's spitting fire .

Langelihle : what's her name ?

Simphiwe : Naledi Thahane .

Langelihle : she ain't that great and all .

Simphiwe : are you kidding me ? she's a beast in court . She knows her business .

Langelihle : am I not a beast in court too ? Am I not the greatest lawyer ?

Simphiwe : you are but ..

Langelihle : but nothing ... I'm going to get my brother out of jail and ensure that this woman loses this case , she's over confident and I'll crush that ego of hers down .

He says turning the video off and closing his laptop ..

Langelihle : you're supposed to be confident sister .. our brother will be out of jail before the end of this month .

Simphiwe : and you think Naledi will allow that ?

Langelihle : I don't care .

Simphiwe sighs .. he doesn't understand now does he ? she stands up and walks out as Langelihle's youngest and only daughter comes crawling inside .

Langelihle : hey my little princess .

She giggles trying to stand up and run to him , he stands up and walks towards her ..

Langelihle : come to daddy .

He picks her up and she smiles at him .

Busi : Dada !

Langelihle : yes my baby .. why did mommy let you come in here ..

He walks out and heads downstairs ..

Langelihle : hey babe ?

Mandisa : yes ?

Langelihle : why is Busi upstairs in the office ?

Mandisa : I had placed her in her playroom , i guess she crawled her way to your office .

Langelihle : well .. okay .

Mandisa : I'm preparing beef and samp for you , is it okay ?

Langelihle : yeah it's fine , I'll eat whatever .

Mandisa : and also don't forget we're going on that 2nd anniversary photoshoot .

Langelihle : I will never forget one of the most important days in my life .

Mandisa : and that's why I love you ..

He smiles ..

Busi : Dada !

Mandisa : ah that's what you always say ... haii .

Busi : Dada !

Langelihle : because I'm the favourite , duh ..

Mandisa : you're so wrong .

Langelihle : it's pretty clear .. the first word that she ever uttered in her life is Dada .

Mandisa : she'll start pronouncing mama soon , watch the space .

Langelihle : we shall see , for now let's go and watch your favourite cartoons .

He says walking out of the kitchen and heading to the lounge , he places her on the couch and covers her with a mini blanket . He sits besides her and turns the TV on ..

Langelihle : lets see ..

He begins searching for her favourite cartoons . Once he finds them , he puts them on and places the remote away .

Busi : (giggles)

He smiles looking at how adorable his baby is .. she's turning 1 soon and all he wants to do is make her first birthday special and he intends on doing so .

few hours later , At Naledi's apartment .

She unlocks the door and walks in staggering ...

Kutlwano : be careful ..

Naledi : yeah yeah ..

She turns the lights on and walks to the lounge , she throws herself on the couch .

Naledi : fuck I'm so tired .

Kutlwano : will you be fine ? I'm leaving .

Naledi : yeah thanks for bringing me .

Kutlwano : I'll have someone bring over your car .

Naledi : thank you so much .

Kutlwano : you're welcome .

She smiles faintly trying not to fall asleep .

Naledi : can you come take my shoes off ? I'm really tired .

Kutlwano : o..okay .

He walks over to her and bents down . He takes off her sandals and places them on the side carefully so .

Kutlwano : all done .

Naledi : thanks hey .

Kutlwano : i have to get going .

Naledi : yeah thanks .

He nods .

Kutlwano : bye .

Naledi : bye Kutlwano aka my boss .

He smiles at her as she smiles back . He sighs and sits on the couch ...

Kutlwano : I can't do this anymore .

Naledi : you can't do what ?

Kutlwano : keep pretending as if i don't love you .

Naledi quickly sits up and glances at him ..

Naledi : I'm not drunk but tipsy .. why am I hearing things now ?

Kutlwano : you're not hearing this Naledi ... I said I love you .

Naledi : what ?

He sighs .

Kutlwano : I've loved you since the time you came looking for work at my firm .

Naledi : whoa .. what ?

Kutlwano : I love you .

Naledi glances at him in disbelief , what the hell is he saying ? he glances at her and sighs .. he leans over trying to kiss her but she moves back ..

Naledi : kutlwano ..

Kutlwano : Naledi ..

Naledi : I don't feel the same about you .

He steps back ...

Naledi : you're my boss and my best friend ... I don't think you should be having these feelings for me . It's wrong ...

Kutlwano : but ..

Naledi : I don't love you .

He nods and stands up ..

Kutlwano : I'm sorry .

Naledi : look I love you as a friend , nothing more and I hope this won't affect our friendship .

Kutlwano : I understand .

Naledi : please don't fire me .

Kutlwano : I would be making the biggest mistake of my life , goodnight .

She nods lightly and he walks out .. he closes the door and she throws her head back on the couch sighing heavily .. last thing on her mind is relationships honestly .. not when she has alot going on .
